Cam Specs?

Hi all!

I just recently registered - again - as I'm one of those whose accounts got deleted because of the recent mishap... :whistling:

Now my question is as simple as this: does anyone know the specs for the 1G-FE cams? Inlet/outlet cam lift and timing, and when the VVT-i kicks in (around 4200rpm, right)? :unsure:

Someone, Anyone? This piece of info I think should be found in IS200 "garage manual" Vol 1. I've got all the other three books, but not the Vol 1. You who got these books, could you help me out please...

I know this is a bit :offtopic: but as Colin said VVT-i doesn't kick in , what you feel 4200 is the ACIS valve in the inlet plenum opening , which isn't controlled by the cams.

OK, and ACIS valve controls the length of the inlet manifold, right? And the length of the manifold is altered to achieve good torque on lower rpm with one manifold length, and the other with high rpm?

But someone has to know the cams lift and other values? :crying:

I need this info to calculate the best possible exhaust manifold in quest for more power... :whistling:

Yes at just over 4000 rpm the manifold length is shorten. Also ignition timing is advanced at the same time which is why you feel such a difference.
