I too had the very same thing when i took it to Lexus " Sorry to have to tell you sir you need new oxygen sensor shall i order one"

No but ill have a new fuel cap He laughed said that wont cure it but it did that was last August

Usually, if a cam belt/chain snaps, the heads need removing and new valves and cams need fitting. I don't know about the GS450h, but I imagine it would be a similar process. It just needs someone to work out what has been damaged and replace the damaged parts.

A new engine? In my opinion; unlikely.

Indeed, although a chain can do a lot of damage compared to a belt.
