Very Annoying Rattle !

Recommended Posts

:angry::angry::angry::angry:

I have this very annoying rattle which sounds as if its coming from under the passenger seat or in the passenger footwell perhaps........... its a real tinny sound and is worst under acceleration, doesn't seem to happen if revs are constant.

I know most cars rattle somewhere or other and normally I wouldn't give a s :tsktsk: t (I'd just turn up the radio) but because the car is so quiet otherwise its really beginning to grate on me.............. I only have 13k on the clock :sick:

Any one got any ideas??? :tomato:

First thing I did was eliminate the wife as a source :winky: (*** only knows what she has in her handbag that could be the cause of my woes) :lol::lol:

Turns out it was the speaker for my carphone that had come loose behind the kick panel in the passenger footwell......... just sounded like it was under the seat somewhere :unsure:

seem to remember someone saying something about the seatbelt clips and spraying them with wd40 or similar to cure it. could be wrong but worth a try. spray the adjustment lever as well and any other mechanical part whilst your down there

It's a rattle (not a squeek) from the lever (bfrom under the seat) while driving over bumbs. You can do it by your own. Just snatch the lever (nobody in the seat) and it will do the same noise again. Dunno how to fix that. It's sprayed, greased, oiled...

The seat belt is sprayed of course. No problem there :)
