S/c - Insurance

Recommended Posts

My insurance is due for renewal at the end of the month :duh:

Rang the insurance company to see what the additional premium would be for a supercharged IS200 as opposed to my standard one.

Additional €351 per annum which is an increase of 42% on my current policy :angry: ............... BUT

They want written confirmation from Lexus that the modificationn has been either carried out by them or is approved by them :angry::angry:

I haven't been in touch with Lexus Ireland but I know what their answer to this request will be :excl::excl::excl:

Any of you s/c boys have any similar problems with insurance companies?

When I get the bucks intend fitting the s/c myself with a little help but I certainly won't be giving it to Lexus to fit and I sincerely doubt they will "approve" something they haven't done themselves :crybaby:
