  1. The best deal currently for the IS300h is on drivethedeal.com. Ask the dealer if they can beat the price?

  3. I don't think there is an electrical motorised unit on the lexus Ls400 that has not got some kind of relay ,thats why it as a virtually perfect electrical system and very few blown bulbs,I never had a bulb go in 190k miles on my 22 year old Mark 1. The blue box on the antenna next to the connection plug as all the circuitry for the motor and antenna hieght control for frequency change etc,so I would imagine there is some kind of relay in there. I am not sure as to weather there is a relay in the fuse boxes dedicated to the antenna. The antenna always goes up and down a moment after the ignition is turned on or off which signals the operation of a relay. Just a note to this; The relay that is connected to the antenna array is not for the antenna it is the rear fog light Relay. The reason I know this is when my Mark 1 unit failed I replaced it with an aftermarket unit until an oem replacement came up on ebay. I disconnected the wires to that relay thinking they were for the antenna I was taking out and three years later my car failed its MOT because the rear fog lights were not working ,enough said, don't use them anymore.

  4. For many years now, some garages have advised to only fit a new pair of tyres to the rear of the car irrespective of the driven wheels ? The reason they give is that the majority of tyre failures happen with "rear" tyres - and because of that - most drivers will have a bigger problem controlling oversteer than ( say) aquaplaning...........!!!!! For me, having driven for 50 years, having had many tyre failures on different cars, I have never had a problem with oversteer, but I have frequently had "moments" with unexpected aquaplaning, when my front tyres were not the best on the car ?? 6. I agree with steve, i got cheap flat wipers ebay, good for money better than bosch little cutting of plastic to make fit on driver arm 2min job. I messaged the firmi bought mine of and told them the driver side dont fit right, they refunded me half my money back. So good set of wipers for about £3.00 and still going strong. Paid £30 for bosch flat blades for my van no were near as good as the cheap ones.

  7. Mine has only done 21k, just over a year old but no issues and to be honest you don't really hear of anything. One check I would do which you wouldn't normally think - open both front doors and check that the paint is not damaged underneath the very bottom edge of the door. several times I have opened my door and caught it on the pavement if the pavement is only a little higher than normal. Just make sure it's been touched in and no rust has started.

  8. My new wiper blades arrived and just fitted them. Fitting was straight forward apart from on the double armed side I needed to cut some plastic off the clip to fit over the mechanism. They appear to wipe very well and look sleek and modern (no rust or chipped black paint!). Good value I'd say B)

  9. I originally bought some Bosch wipers and they were rubbish,I couldn't stand the noise when there was little water on the screen.I replaced them with the cheapy ebay flat type ones and they have been excellent, they wipe very clean and smear free even with the light drizzle type rain and no noise, been on around 2 years without problems. Mine did need the fixing modifying due to the twin arm but this only involved cutting a slither of plastic off the clip on both sides, after that fitting was secure and good. Make sure the size of the blades you order are correct by measuring your existing ones as there are differing sizes across the model range.
