I spoke to Mike about this last night and it isn't what he's after but.... Have you thought about a sectional garage? All you need to do is put a decent 250/300mm concret base down and then the garage sits on top when bolted together. You can get them now so they don't look like the old ones you used to get. A fraction of the price of building and will no doubt add value to a property without a garage in the first instance. Have a look here.....................

I think the £8.5k for the Merc may be a little optimistic - it will be a high miler but then she only drives 12 miles a day anyway. Only real stipulation is that is has to be M reg or newer so she can get her plate on it. Friend had a Series One Elise which was a scream - they are dropping in price now.

Right then - after some opinions. The Mrs wants a new car (She's had the VW Lupo for 3 years now) and I want a weekend toy to play with when the IS200 is sleeping :) She likes the Merc SLK 230 Kompressor so I am looking at 2 seater type cars - but am open to suggestions. On the list are, Lotus Elise Mercedes Benz SLK 230 Kompressor BMW Z3 2.8 Any other suggestions? I want to spend up to about £8.5k What do you guys reckon?

There is a lot to be said for a decent set of pads with an OEM caliper set up. Like Matt said - it is a matter of getting the right pad to eliminate fade. Friend of mine had some brembo 8 pots on his road legal F1 car - soon to be complete. It needs them though I can't direct link the photos but have a look at the URL..... How about a Honda Civic Jordan.... or a Honda Integra Type 'R'....... V-Tec does indeed whoop *****. The teg handles like no other FWD car on the road yet it's practical as anything - loads and loads of boot space. Friends have had both cars - i have driven both (hard) and the grin factor is definately there. Teg 190bhp, Civic Jordan 160bhp. Both reasonably priced now too.

I have an HKS SuperDrager II - not selling it but it sounds the pooch's package when it's hot :D

For some reason I am really drawn to the Progressiv TE's. I think it's the smooth line of the spokes - look cool. What you doing with the old ones? Is the one that had the blow out KO'd?

That eeriepubco has some right weird ales !! Tracey used to work at St Pauls so we went in there a couple of times. The light bar is good - thursday and friday nights they now have a dj up there. I have always been trashed when I've come out of there. I do miss the london social life :(

Venture over to Liverpool Street and there is a whole host of bars and bits. Thursday night in London is a biggy - especially around there. Have a look in The Pitcher & Piano and also the Light Bar (which is just down the road from there). There are a couple of pubs on that side of the road also - the names evade me at the moment (usually been too battered to take much notice !) Plenty to see and do around there. If you want a club or something for later then try Fabric in EC1, Abucus on Cornhill (great little club but gets busy) or try Agenda which is in Minster court (just around the corner from the Barbican) any black cab will take you straight to these. Enjoy ! :D
