  1. I'm not sure i would have thought i heavier flywheel would have smoothed out any judders better than a lighter one, but in combination with a new upgraded clutch judder might not be an issue anyway
  2. I would say getting a new one would be best, not sure what he paid for it, but he was darn pleased with the price. You need clutch alignment tools so might be best to ge ta garage to do it. Lightened flywheel will allow the car to rev easier but can be a little harder to pull away as the flywheel has less energy to keep spinning when engaging the clutch.
  3. might be worth waiting a little while and dropping stav a pm as hes trying a spec clutch he got from the US. Theres been loads of good press about them on other forums dont know anyone who's got them on the is200 as there advertised for altezza, but spec say that all you need to change is the release bearing for a standard IS200 one. Only thing is the £ isnt as strong as it was so you'll pay a little more than stav did but he got hes bloooomin cheap.
  4. You could just get some dixcel discs and pads keeping your standard calipers and you'll have an amazing braking upgrade :) Might be able to offer a cheaper bbk soon but its all :shutit: at the moment ;)
  5. To be honest not sure what the handling will be like but with WIM on the team and lots of testing we'll get her handling as best as we can :) Next year nippon challenge is 99% sure of having silverstone tyres as a sponsor so tyres will be a little cheaper than usually. But when needing 265+ wide things are bound to be a little pricey LoL weight of engine should be about the same....... Doing Time Attack cost me £8k this year and i missed 2 rounds................get your piggy bank ready Well hopefully as i'm encorporating it into part of my college course i may be able to get a little funding. Also its not as much as Time attack, and we get more track time. We've had quite a few of the time attack guys coming over to us in the nippon, some good battles on track, next years going to be massive and really good to watch :D

  7. Stopped LoL been working on other FP racing cars, taking the Nissan 200sx to Rockingham next weekend for its first test session, just need to finish a few things, maybe take to Tony for a basic set up etc. Then when we get back its on to mine :)
  8. How come u need one pal ? They are bloooomin heavy will be taking mine out soon :)
  9. the one i ended up geting was for a honda, but it was a custom made for a honda, but it was the size i was looking for so i got it, and at the price it was up for i could not pass it up :) Coolio, i'm thinking i might try and use the standard IS rad as i will be making a air scoop directing flow straight over the intercooler and the radiator and then out of the bonnet, hopefully if this is efficient enough a smaller lighter rad might be possible. Do you know what turboooos you going for ?
  10. Nothing on crash.net think its a miss under standing. I was worried when he couldnt get his steering wheel back on, as they disqualify the driver if its not put back on. All in all not a great drive from lewis but a good season. I dunno why he let Kubica past at that point should have left it untill the start finish straight. I was also thinking if Hamilton had stayed out on dry tyres would he have finished in the top 5. As Glock was well down before they all pitted and only got pipped on the last few corners? Would have been risky but he might have ended up in a higher position.
  11. Marcus what rad you using ? i was looking at using a supra one ?
  12. Cool, looking forward to news on the engine covers... Spoke to the guys the other day there starting to make them at the moment, they arent going to do all the complex clips etc so these will most likely be covers to go over the standard items as, making the whole lot from carbon fibre would cost mega bucks.
  13. yea im still geting on with this ellz :) i had to stop for along time, as i was out of work ;) but i have abit of work comeing in now...so i have started to do what i can.. sorry mate, i dont as i need to get all them for my setup, still have to get clutch and flywheel, as and when i need it i think i will be calling roger at ThorRaceing for the Flywheel & clutch setup, sorry mate..... Email me at foxpageracingAThotmail.com about clutch and flywheel might have something you could be interested in ;)
  14. Hey Marcus good to see that things are still going on with this build. Sounds good you turbo'in, after seeing a few at some of the EDC round this year i would want to go ITB's on a V8 if i had one, there proper meannnnn LoL. A long shot but you dont have any Clutch forks or 1st - 2nd and 3rd - 4th selector forks laying around do you ? The ones on my R154 are worn and toyota want £50+ each for the selectors
  15. Hey guys got word today that our first piece that we had ordered has been finished, it is a skyline boot and in fibre glass, havent seen it yet but apparently quality is great, they have started work on the engine covers I will post up news when finished, but i will have to sell outside of here i'll try and keep costs to a minimum though.
  16. erm, i didnt know you wasnt making any money from them untill last night...when you called me I wouldnt have put them in the Group buy sections if i was making any money, but yes i did confirm last night on the phone. erm, i didnt know you wasnt making any money from them untill last night...when you called me So can we open up the GB's again then? Tango drop me a mail if your after anything.
  17. Elliot I mentioned your activities to the moderating team as rules are rules. Tony and I are not allowed to have links to our websites in our signatures. We are both VAT registered and also on the companies house register. Whatever the status of your company you need to pay/get permission to advertise on here. Its praiseworthy that you say you were doing these deals for the good of LOC but you should understand that lots of companies are struggling to make a living in the current economic climate and as such are entitled to point any inequities out to the relevant people. Call me a cynic if you wish but you should take a reality check about doing anything for free regarding selling parts -- If there is a failure who does the end user see about getting a replacement part ?....what happens if the failure leads to an accident ?...............are you insured against any possible claims or will Dixcel (whoever) deal with any litigation that may ensue......... Margins dealers make have to cover insurance costs/public liability insurance etc......maybe on a wider point those of you who spend hours looking for bargains in America/japan need to think about this point.....also who do you contact when it goes wrong ? From my perspective I've spent hours getting TOM's installation pdfs made up ready for download I have to recoup these costs as times money.............. Current exchange rates of £1/$1.62 and £1/169 yen will men the costs will rise any way............ Why doesnt Dixcel (whoever) contact the mods to become a bona fide trader on here ? Pay the relevant fees at off they go. Thats the thing is not a company, my friend and I are doing a motorsport engineering degree to get experience we started FPracing, this is to gain experience in the field. We can get the Dixcel products but wouldnt be selling them we would be passing the orders to Dixon Cheng who is the UK distributor hence not earning any money, he thought the Lexus people would have the money/sense to buy top quality products. This also means if any items to fail etc would be directed to Dixcel themselves even though i've not heard of any failures. The Carbon items are again as i have to get fibre glass items made up i will own the moulds and instead of just chucking them away or only using them to replace my items when broken why not pass on the opportunity to others. If any of these were broken that would be down to the company that makes them not me, as they where "group buys" I was just being the middle man from LOC to the company in question. I will put the idea to Dixon but as he is in the process of setting up his own tuning garage and is back and forth to china/japan and racing in the nippon challenge his diary is pretty full.
  18. Matt didnt have a problem with it as he knew i wasnt making any money from them, but as there was a complaint he had to remove them. If anyone wants anything just give me a shout.
  19. Hi guys spoke with Matt earlier and my group buys have been shut due to complaints from someone. But because my fp-racing link says that i am a distributor of the dixcel products (even though fp racing isnt a registered company and we can only get our hands on the brakes due to knowing the uk distributor) and can get carbon fibre items made up Matt has had to close them, which i have no problem with as its not a loss to me, i was earning no money from either of the group buys just trying to pass on items that i have to get made for my race car (as i have to get the mould made). It would have helped me along with my motorsport course as well showing that i could get products made up and distributed with a good feed back from customers. Unfortunatly you guys loose out. Just thought people might want to know Elliott
  20. Looks liek theres some resevoirs in the passenger airbag area. Very very tidy engine bay though
  21. Looks good fella, any engine bay shots or is it all look the same as before ? Are you still running with a T28 ?
  22. 4wd altezza sounds good. Has this got the 3s engine in it ? Whats the running gear like ? Could it be swapped or maybe parts swapped from the gt4 as there pretty strong ? Sounds like a good project Dave. With the 2JZ "GE" and the "GTE", is there really much difference with the strength of the internals ? Ive seen bolt on kits on IS300 with pretty big power without changing the internals to uprated items or the GTE ones.
  23. Nice one, im pleased for your Sam. What turbo is this running ? Is it still the T28 ?
