  1. Good stuff, look into Nippon Challenge theres hp/weight classes next year so really even racing :) We had TV coverage on motors TV if anyone caught it. Would be some good advertiment for Prolex if you took part next year ;)
  2. Vodafone rang me the other day as well trying to win me back, havent been with them for a couple of years as well. I thought the touch pro u could only on there business side or have they brought it over ? Either phone you've said i think you'd be happy with, now u just gotta start hagglin :D
  3. Ive got thousands of images on photobucket, if you dont want people to see them dont put them on there i think is the main way to go. Its pretty easy to make new albums and stuff, i like it although a little slow at uploading if you've got a massive bunch.
  4. Indeed Dave I do realise this, my first thoughts were exact yours but looking further into it we did some measurements and the exhaust housing seems to have around a 0.8 A/R which is similar size to a Garrett GT30/GT35 series. Someone has managed to find me a turbo map for the holset which will hopefully give me a better idea. Also the 1JZ rev's pretty high on standard cams(7K+), which will eventually be changed when funds allow upto and beyond 8K so i'll have a pretty heathly rev range to play with unless this turbo really does need a stupid amount of air to get it spinning. Anyway its free so if its crap i'll just take it off buy antoher one and have no loss, worth a try. Its also pretty cool to have a truck turbo :D lol Ive been hearing pretty bad things about the garrett GT series, massive reliablity issues so may look at some other options. Anyone else had any problems ?
  5. Hi Cho , it's a "stroker" kit :D Dave I personally think that stroking your car would be going down another costly route for pretty much little gains. Stroker kits in the first place cost a massive amount, then your engine will need to be completly stripped down everything removed and changed over, I dont think you will be able to use any of the internal components you have already, as the crankshaft will be different and usually all related items (conrods and pistons) Im guessing your after more power ? Is the superchargers rev's max'd out at the moment ? The only thing i can think of with your car in upgrading the supercharger (if you want to keep supercharger) if not go turbo route.
  6. Hey guys this is a shout out to anyone wanting a roll cage, ive got a guy whos going to be doing mine for the IS200 and i thought whilst mine is going in if anyone else was to jump in it would reduce costs massively, I know this is a long shot as not many people put roll cages in but i thought whats the harm in asking. If anyone is interested drop me a pm, anything can be made up as he does them from scratch. Cheers Elliott
  7. Sounds good, dave, what about all the stuff thats in your engine already ? havent you got forged items ? Spoke to Wayne the other day on the phone, going to go up and see them on monday with a mate from college, so if anyones around i should be up there at 11-12 ish.
  8. Well after a bit of research this truck turbo could be alright. Loads of positive reliablity comments on many forums, lots of the US guys use them on V8's etc. Someone posted on 1 forum back in feb of putting 1 on his 1JZ but no updates since. Basically its a holset HX35W, used on Cummins diesel engines. Seen some people running it on 44psi for a few years. Seen one that exploded after 50psi and a shot of NOS so i think it should be ok for what im after. Only problem could be power delievery there are a few people that have said it will dump the bhp due to the large exhaust housing, basically 500hp all at once no smooth power line. Also this has a internal wastegate so no need for buying a external one :D Heres some photos of the turbo next to a HKS 28rs turbo capible of 300+ BIGGGGGGGGG :D:D:D:D:D:D
  9. Yeah going to make up some adjustable suspension, but matts rear end was handling 500-600 hp for many years, hes only jsut upgraded to a new diff recently. Yeah you do, got medical all done was going to do my ARD's test this weekend at Brands at the london motorsport show, glad i didnt now as it was rubbish weather. Once car is done it will be track tested before racing to get any problems ironed out, and to get me used to the car If you got a garage to do it, it would cost alot of money, but if you do it on your own not to much parts arent to expensive but can be a pain in the arse to get. Found a truck turbo at the back of a storage container the other day looks like it could be a good fit for what im after, will save me £700 on a new one LoL
  10. Posted on Driftworks for you as there good internet detective
