Not really bloomin engine mounts took 3 weeks instead of the quoted "couple of days" to get to me, but i now finally have them so i'll be going up to the workshop on thursday to get the engine in and start really moving on with the loom exhaust, manifold etc yippy.

Day to day use its great, ive started using it alot with the calender, notepads etc as i can enter txt so quickly. Size wise its fine only a bit longer than a N95 but slightly slimmer.

did you have rc8 ? my phones not frozen once yet. sometimes as ive got the powermanager on it cut the screen off after 15 seconds when the battery is low and sometimes if im on the web or playing a game and it cut the screen off it take about 10 - 20 seconds to allow me to get back to the unlock screen but im guessing that because its doing stuff in the back ground.

Agreed the cars dont look as nice, but all down to the new rulings for the aero packages allowed, I was at the world motorsport symposium at oxford brooks uni at the end of last year, the top aero dynamisist from Ferrari was there did an hours or so speech about this years cars, and he pretty much said that BMW will be one of the top cars to beat as they were leaked photos of it testing on track and ferrari we're still in design stages along with pretty much all other teams. He was a nice chap actually having a few laughs about the last few corners at the brazillian gp Also watch out for lots of new front wings being replaced as the driver cant actually see the edges of the front wing so looks like theres gonna be lots of casualties on the start line.

Toyota do too. The company I work for has regular Kaizen events and there are books written by Toyota people dotted around the place. Very randomly Toyota also adopted there JIT (just in time) business plan from piggly wiggly after visiting ford and being so shocked at how rubbish they were at it.

Ok heres a few photos of the invisible shield i've got on mine. It says it take 2-3 days for all bubble etc to disappear although there arent to many on mine. All these corners are little buggers to do These are the worst 2 (ones one the edge of screen area) think I might cut them off as i dont think they've stuck properly. it give the phone a very shiney look and a weird kind of feeling almost a smooth staticy feel. Also heres that app i was talking about. there all the camera's in london. pick a camera, some dont always work. then through to this screen which has which light is on at that time. Then the actual picture. and thats another example. now the US ones refresh each second which is amazing, but this are sloooow 300seconds :(

This thread could get interesting, as far as I'm concerned the G1 is a bit of an enigma as not a lot of ppl have them so without spending hours on the internet it's hard to find out the true user experience.......... Anyway, that sounds like an awesome app. So you can see traffic cameras (on motorways and stuff) real time? Ok maybe it's lame at the mo but they'll update the number of cameras, but that is seriously cool stuff :) Yep i'll try and get some photos up later on of the app working. thats the thing with the android the more people who get it the more it will get better and better, its like a community. Theres a night life app's so if you at a pub and its crazy busy or really crap and quiet you can quickly type it in and anyone with that app in your area gets the update, i for one know in brighton that can help loads as many DJ's have little secrete sessions so not to over load the venue and with 2 uni's close by some places can get overloaded big time, I was in a club a while back not very busy and who comes on the decks local boy fat boy slim was one of the best nights ever.

I said let keep it on topic as well no need to edit that ;) Ok heres another cool app I downloaded. Even though the UK one is a little pointless, its called world traffic cam's. Basically you can view a number of traffic camera around the world, in the UK they have a limited amount in london probably about 150 ish camera's. But you can see images which update every so often, UK ones are 300 seconds, but the ones i've looked at the USA update every second so you get basically live feed, and in the US they've got thousands, the idea is to allow you to plan a route by looking at the traffic live, but the UK needs to really update every 5 - 10 seconds at the max not every 5 mins. I think its almost a little scary this app, good know what we'll be able to look at next, every CCTV camera ? never know.

I probably should have named this the Android thread as its more about android than the actual G1 but oh well as the G1 is the only one out with it at the moment i suppose its similar.

If i can get a original one I can get the guys im getting the wings and stuff done with, but i would prefer to see how the wings and bonnet come out first before anything more technical like bumpers. I was pretty impressed with there set up though. They had over £10k of carbon rolls 3 different colours which was pretty funky. So i'll let you know how it goes.

Yep on the youtube comment he said that they have got it working on the iphone but need apple to sign off on it, probable working up a price for customers to pay for it Lol. Im not to fussed about watch films on mine at the moment, i dont think im confident enough to do some of the stuff you do as well, you far higher up the geek chain that me hehehe. I would have thought you'd love the android system, the only thing is it might take up to much of your time with hacking it and making new app's and add ons lol

Aido did you see this ? Flash running on the G1, if you look at the comments it looks like the markadoherty is a adobe employee of some sort.

It uses Google's Android platform, which I believe runs on top of a Linux kernel. I believe that is correct. Wozza if you look into android you will see what all the fuss is about, its open source and they are incoraging people to come and design there own app's there are many forums helping people out and the community is growing pretty nicely. Most of the app's ive downloaded have had over 250,000 downloads, i dont believe there counters go above that (well i havent seen any with over that yet). Yup just looking as is goes from 50,000 - 250,000 then >250,000. When the next devices roll out and more and more people get android there are so many things that people can do on them, im just annoyed none of my mates have got them, but 1 has got an upgrade soon so he'll be going G1 or G2 if its out in time :D

Any idea of how much the ep racing one is there website is stupid as it has no prices. When i was up at there place before xmas, they did have quite a bit of stuff for the IS200, i asked about getting some custom stuff or new lines made and they said 6 months to get a new design molded and shipped back from china Also my mates 180sx bumper didnt fit very well so might be worth making sure any of these fit well before committing to a group buy. All that said I am interested though :)

Well installed one of these last night http://www.zagg.com/ Blooming took about 2 hours trying to get all the bit on properly really really fiddle doing the full body case. But its not on and hopefully the phone is protected for its life. It says to leave 2-3 days before all imperfections are out, but already i can tell that the screen isnt as sensitive but i will leave for the 2-3 days before i make a full conclusion, and before anyone asks no im not going to test it with my keys LoL

O yeah forgot your lads was that colour maybe i can get him to do mine :) did he ever clear up all the mess ?
