  1. Its definitely to do with the light as when I put the plugs all back in the beep is back try popping the bulb out.
  2. Its easier on the Mk1 than the MK2 purely because of the VVTi engine in it. If you pop over to the supra forums you'll get a good idea. But just as an idea. If you are staying with stock turbo's then you are looking at uprating the fuel pump (walbro is accepted as the standard replacement), Free flowing the exhaust by putting in a bigger bore item and usually taking out the cats, Putting in better charge cooling than the stock item (be that an uprated SMIC or an FMIC). Then you get into cams (HKS are considered good) and stuff to squeeze the last few horses out. My supra with 474 BHP on stockers had water injection as well to try and keep the charge temps down. I'd advise you look at 550 cc injectors and some way of controlling them as the engine starts to run lean at that sort of power on 440's. The supporting kit like Fuel cut defencer (allows you to boost over 1.0 bar) Boost controller (stock controller will suffice but an aftermarket one allows you to control it a bit better) will be required. Theres some VVTi specific stuf that needs doing but you'd have to ask the likes of gaz walker for that info.

  5. Old TV unit? I had one in my car. They pulled out the telly screen and left a load of the wiring and stuf fin there though just stuffed under seats etc.
  6. Oh I delimited it ages ago. I found the ECU speed input no bothers as it was the same as the supra's. It was the speedo speed input I couldn't find. As it happens I have just uploaded the photo's now so here they are. Before ya'll start I realise the wiring aint brilliant. I was in a hurry yesterday as it was getting very cold and just a bit dark :)
  7. I can get a speedo instrument panel at a scrappers for £60 plus vat. I was almost at the point that I was considering this. Now the speed signal on UK and J-spec supras are the same and its the instrument side that interprets this signal. Now the thing here is that the N/A and TT speedo's are alledgedly different so in this instance I imagine that this could also be the case here as well. If the gearbox in the GS is the same gearbox as the one in the aristo then I would say that the speed sensors will be the same and then you'll find the instrument cluster will read in UK miles an hour on a GS one.
  8. Dammit now I am a bit miffed. I wish I hadn't bought that white one as a rather rather special car has come up in Japan. Well actually theres 2 come up. A massive assed big single T88 600 or more BHP 6 speed manual conversion aristo and a very nice very pimped wide arched deep purple huge wheeled completely retrimmed inside aristo. Now I have to sell either the green one or the white one which isn't here yet to be able to buy either of these cars :(
  9. Right ya mutha hubbards I have finally sussed it out. You can indeed use the Thor racing TRL combined de-limiter and speedo convertor. Retails at about £115 I think. I will post the pics of the plugs and wires you need to cut and that at some point tomorrow when I am putting the car back together. I only had to cut about 20 wires to finally find the speedo input signal :)
  10. Mine has stopped doing this now since I started the process of elimination to find the speedo input signal. I am just hazarding a guess but get rid of the reverse light in the dash and you'll get rid of the beep.
  11. Its a safety feature on auto's for a reason lol. S'funny cos my manual conversion still does it.
  12. I'm currently drooling over the one Jurgen told me about last night. Makes mine look soft on the pimp front man. So drooling that I think I would let mine go today for 9 grand just so I could buy it.
  13. Buy the T88 aristo a mutual freind of ours has found with a manual box on it dude and forgo all this hassle lol.
  14. My importer mate after 6 months of searching has found another manual Aristo. This one however has a T88 single turbo on it. Now its got a few cosmetic issues, mainly paintwork but it could be available on the dock for circa £8500. He can bring it in for you and you can sort the stuff out yourself or as I am starting to get to know the whole process I can for a small commision sort the stuff out. Normally he would do the whole thing himself and sell the car ready to rock and roll in the UK but he specialises mainly in supras and rex's. If anyones interested drop me an email.

  16. Well I am now booked for going to Ireland in April regardless of the outcome here. I can all but guarantee still having the monster still in April but it should be well gone by August. I'll be in my second aristo by August unless I sell that too.

  18. Been driving the green one to work this week. Its not as thirsty as the supe was. Its a bit of a devil really as its constantly urging you to go faster :) That exhaust note doesn't really become too intrusive until you get to 150 in 6th. I had a bit of a giggle the other night. Some tool came hammering up behind me and stuck to my ***** on a dually. I was waitin patiently for the car of me to complete its overtake shame numpety behind me didnt have similar patience. Car was like a rash. Only one thing for it... Drop it 3 gears, deafen the sod and watch it become a speck in my rear view not to be seen again.
  19. BPU is basic power upgrade. It is accepted on the supra board to be a decat and sports exhaust with a restrictor ring to prevent boost creep. An uprated fuel pump like a walbro or UK spec supra pump. A fuel cut defencer to allow you to boost over 1.0 bar. Maybe a boost controller. Then theres a plus added for each thing above that like say Water injection, FMIC, HKS or UK higher lift cams, After market piggy back fuel solution say greddy emanage ultimate, bigger injectors, hybrid turbos. Anything that keeps roughly the same configuration without going single turbo really. Wedge some nitrous on top of that little lot and you've got some serious wedge beating ability

  22. A BPU aristo would bite the heels off an M5. BPU++ would drive right past it. M3's don't have 4 doors.
