  1. As far as I know the alarm immobilisor is the stock item. Lets put it this way it operates from the button in the original car key. Is anti-jacking a standard feature? I ask as everytime I drive off the doors all lock when I get to like 10 mph. The drivers door doesn't lock from the inside but does from the outside which leads me to beleive that it is an anti car jacking system. Anyone actually know what type of alarm immobilisor the car has?
  2. Yeah i saw the 8.5's. I think they were sold though chap. Seems like you hear that these wheels bend alot. If thats the case I'm thinking perhaps not such a great idea after all. I'd actually consider buying them new as second hand the blitz rims are worth more than the lex sport wheels new methinks with the blitz rims going for £650 a pop new :(
  3. Never been let off speeding but nice mr plod didn't feel the need to detain me further or hit me with a £30 fine for no front plate. I was genuine and honest with him (reason no plate I am waiting for a square one thats on order) letter of the law he coulda 7 dayed me and £30 fined me and also given me a lecture but he was cool. They aren't all bad lol and do remember they have a job to do as well.
  4. I'm considering swapping over my blitz z1 19"s for a set of gs sport rims as on my lowered ride the quality of ride is just not baby freindly. Anyone know where I can pick up a set for reasonable money?
  5. Sorry man I just went and had a look and they have been sold. Typical huh they've been for sale for months and the second I know of someone that might want them they are gone :(
  6. hmmmm, i mite be interested in buying some similar to these for the IS2 if they were available in 18" ← I know where there is a set of 18"s with gold inners with offsets for a mk4 supra (should be the same as the lexus as the 18" lexus gs300 sport wheels fit supras perfectly)
  7. I'll have a look. No doubt its stamped or embossed on them somewhere.
  8. 19" blitz Z1's with anthracite inners (they come in gold and polished as well)
  9. I'm sure I'd heard of people with soarers having suspension that can be adjusted from inside the car on possibly hydraulics. Does anyone know if it can be done on an aristo and how much it costs? I ask as Its p*ssin me off scraping my Kazz kit everytime I go up my drive and the fact that there are massive tracts of britains roads I cannot venture near due to speed friggin humps. I'd also prefer a slightly softer ride that 19"s just don't afford me.
  10. Who wants to buy it......form an orderly queue heh heh heh psyke :P You'd need at least 11 big ones to wrestle this away from me and I ca't see anyone paying that for it. On the value topic what would a normal sane person consider to be an accurate replacement value for this motor as I need to sort out the assured valuation form?
  11. Not the best images in the world but it gives you the idea. The plate is just bodged on for now as the hole in the bumper for it is square and I didn't realise lol.
  12. Thats why I want one fella. Only thing is I need to do the brakes first as I would rather it stopped as well as it goes :) I'm washing it up and getting some photo's today hopefully if it doesn't rain so watch this space. And yes without too much trumpet blowing it is a damn fine looking motor, definitely the best I have ever owned. I'd even go as far as saying it makes my supe look ordinary :D
  13. You ever eaten in there? Its fantastic food.
  14. Whats a speed hump???? I have trouble getting it on and off my drive lol. I can't turn left at the end of my street as that is bandit hump territory :) I'm getting it lifted as it just is way way too low. And kiddy with new toy I guess so. Its a drifter through and through so as a new thing to me (supe is auto so no driftin on that baby). Its louder than my supe by a long way. And it gets more looks. Some kiddy today in his saxo VTR all but crashed trying to look at it on my way home from work. I used my turbo power to blitz the traffic. He tried to keep up with me overtaking just to see what I was driving. He eventually managed to get alongside me at a busy junction and the perplexed "WTF is that" look said it all. I waved blithely back at him and toed it again :) In the car park chrimbo shopping two seperate blokes that passed commented on how amazing the car looks whilst I was taking the pram out of the boot.
  15. Mines definitely got a speed limiter. I hit it several times today. It feels like the brakes going on and is a helluva lot more viscous than my supe ever was before i delimited that.
  16. Re-reading this. Are we saying that the big twin HKS setup isn't sequential? If so whats the point in going twin instead of bigger single apart from the obvious spool up time issue.
  17. Manual 6 speed beast get it right rofl
  18. You'll know it when you see it mate take my word for that lol. It'll be the car that deafens you first then snaps your neck as you crane to see it. I set off two car alarms yesterday in Broadstone YAY :D
  19. Wonder how much that LPG kit was and where it was done
  20. I was out last night looking at the chrimbo lights in me new lex yes. Bit of an eye catcher isn't it?? If it doesn't catch the eye then it'll catch your ears :) You may have noticed though that its a touch low. I am gonna have serious problems towing with this car if I'm honest and that tow bar of yours may not be of any use to me. I'll have to see yours and mine together before I make my mind up on that one.
  21. how computer savvy are we talking here? I can install operating systems and pc components but not much deeper than that without instruction.
  22. Any one know where I can get hold of an aristo parts disc and a decent workshop come haynes manual for my new aquisition.
  23. Well I plugged the two abs lines back in that were disconnected and now the ABS light is staying off ??????? I take it that the ABS stopping sensor is not on the tunnel cover like in the supra then.
  24. steer clear of EBC and all them so called wonder pads. pagid, mintex are the ones to use, thats whats used OEM.....Axxis are ok...i currently have them on the monster but find like you they cant handle heavy use over prolonged periods, however i have no problems in MK ← Porterfields are good pads on the J-spec supe brakes which are the same brakes as the GS. I am not sure if racing hawks street and track pads fit on these brakes though.
