  1. So was it Lexus Woodford he bought this car from?? As far as I am aware the sales side as opposed to the service side are a total different kettle of fish. James Cook is THE man indeed, absolutely awesome!!!!
  2. I have an almost mint set of original black ones I might be willing to sell . Also have an original set of cream ones which has never been used.
  3. I can vouch for Pristine Wheels. They did 5 x 18" Aero alloys for me for around £346 which included correcting two flat spots. They are not cheap but the wheels were refurbished and packaged very professionally.
  4. You all are so lucky as Toyota in my area quote the same as Lexus.
  5. As it says "Essential Care Service differs from standard manufacturer's recommended service". So no comparison should be made with the cost of a standard service as I suspect it will only cover limited items.
  6. I would think -: No reverse parking sensors no beeping sounds. Someone would correct me if I am wrong. The beeping is only in the car and not as a warning externally. With the reverse parking sensors it aids the driver in knowing how close he/she is to an object as opposed to warning someone that you are reversing.
  7. Good to know as the reception on the IQ antenna is not brilliant.
  8. I am almost certain that the OEM mats are no longer available.
  9. Seems you have a later model head unit. Your age of vehicle should have the CD slot at the bottom this may explain why the harness plugs do not fit but I am not certain. Maybe someone else will confirm.
  10. Thanks I will check them out tomorrow and wait and see if it is the same place Parthiban is referring to. Are you also based in North London??
  11. I am fine. Dropped the sister-n-law to Gatwick this morning and was tempted to go to GW Bridges afterwards, unfortunately the wife and son were with me so I will leave that for another day.
  12. F.O.C = Free of charge I had the same service for the same price as you from the dealership that Parthiban also uses in Woodford Green. Bought my car from Park Lane but used Woodford Green for my servicing needs and have never regretted it. Surprised at the bypass hose not being done as mine leaked twice in two years fortunately my car was under an extended warranty so it was changed FOC. When I referred to having a major service done in the new year I meant a normal major service without the timing belt and tensioner charges. As you I intend to keep my car for at least another 3yrs. It is currently 7.5yrs with 48k on the clock.
  13. There's a place in Palmers Green I go for plumbing stuff who are reasonably priced, but they're quite a small place so they don't hold much stock if you need it quickly or anything. Parthiban where in Palmers Green? and what is their trading name? I am not desperate so I can wait for it to be ordered if the price is right.
  14. As the topic description states. Can anyone recommend an outlet where I can buy one at a reasonable price.
  15. Yes we know. I asked the question as in theory dependant on when his car was registered the timing belt would have been due to be changed either late 2009 or early 2010. If the price included the timing belt etc.. then I think that is a reasonable price. Lexynik were you after a TRD front lip????
  16. I assume the 62k service was a major service for £750, even so you need to haggle mate. I will be having a major service in the new year and will be paying a lot less than £750. Also some things advised on as Parthiban says do not need to be done straight away or in some cases at all. Did that service include your timing belt and tensioner??
  17. Sorry mate completely forgot about this, glad it fits, I knew it would :) I'm confused why it wouldn't fit in Mars's car, has it had a rear impact and had the boot floor replaced perhaps and they didn't get it spot on? There must be a reason. No rear impact as far as I am aware. Try fitting one of your 18" wheels in your boot and if it fits I will need to investigate further.
  18. I know where there is a TRD front lip but of course it has not got the sort of silicone edging.
  19. Have to agree here ...have had these on and off over the years ,never had any trouble :) On a par with the Kumhos bit more expensive though Quieter and more comfortable than the Kumhos.
  20. £320 fully comp with guaranteed protected no claims bonus from Liverpool Victoria.
  21. Yes a well covered topic and I think generally known by all what the the cheapest solution is. I had a master key with a dodgy casing and was at a shopping estate when it parted company with the blade about 45 minutes before closing time, I could see my car being stranded there as I could not turn the blade with my fingers. So I got the pliers out of the toolkit in the boot and used that to turn the blade. The engine turned over but would not start so I placed the broken casing with the transponder close to the blade as I turned it again with the pliers and bobs your uncle it started and remained so even when I moved the transponder away. So there you are, the transponder does not need to be insitu all the time just at start up.
  22. They should do as I was quopted about £1.75 each a week ago. You will need four I believe.
