  1. Yes that could very well be the reason, I just found it a bit strange that it lead to nothing..lol but if you can check I will feel alot better ;)
  2. Ok question in the picture below I followed the hose from the black lid that says coolant on it, an it seems to go to nothing. Should it be plugged into something? lol It has two clips that takes it down but its not plugged into anything at the bottom and I cant see anywhere to attach it to?
  3. Looks good mate, but as Matt says they may take a bashing so hope the laquer can keep it together or you will have to just do them every so often :)
  4. As you say it just makes it sound louder & look more pretty but thats why I got one :)
  5. Glad you like them mate, I'm very much thinking about some but not sure where to look eek :shutit: so they were easy enough to fit? Videos needed :D
  6. Sounds awesome mate, I enjoyed the videos :) But I need English sub titles for the first vid lol..
  7. How much are the filters, can anyone link me etc so I can order one for next week please :) got to get started on the brakes as well eek :( really need it through the mot now been without for a month. And which oil do I need to get as well? I've never done this before an it hasnt been serviced for at least 3 years or more :( should be driving like a new car when I'm done I hope
  8. I'm not sure yet Steve I expect there the more expensive pipes, but I was just thinking about the other black ones in the engine bay. Mine have been there for 10 or so years, think I can freshen them up with some new ones, I need to change the fluids anyway as well if something should go a bit wrong lol... Just not sure of the sizes of the hoses, need a pic of an engine bay then some guidance to how big each hole in the pipe needs to be.. ie. 3mm 4mm 7mm etc or if I can get to my car tomorrow i'll just try measure them myself lol..
  9. Hi guys just a little guidance needed, I'm cleaning up the engine bay at the moment & wanting some silicone hoses. So far I've only seen them by SFS on the Prolex-Uk site & I find the price just to high still sadly. Is there any chance I can just buy some silicone hose off ebay & cut them to length. Example If so anyone got to hand the lengths or which ones I could change & how easy it is? Just a case of off with the old an use the clips on the new? Thanking you in advance Chris
  10. I don't think the price is an issue, it is the condition of what was sold as new but is clearly not new. Prolex is a business after all and businesses should be making money otherwise they are a charity. Although is there any other motor vehicle related product that is only 50% cheaper 9 years after it was released????? I dont agree with the prices or I'd have one ;) but as all said I hope poor Asi can get his refund or price to reflect the condition. As well as the other chap who's orderd one & its a shame alot of people have been mislead. And it's hard to contact people with just the e-mail/internet, just hang in there an hopefully it can be resolved. As someone has suggested, did this Marcus chap know what he was getting for his money? Only time will tell sadly.
  11. He can charge what he likes, just dont buy it lol...
  12. Question Chris, is the Manifold cover stainless steel? I'm such a noob hehe, so would my autoglym stuff just clean it up or do I have to maybe use tools like yourself to get the shine first, I read the guide you linked to it was very intresting stuff and all looks really good.
  13. Cheers matey :D just debating if i should do the manifold heat covers now, but think they will look better being black to be a bit of a contrast against the polished bits? @ Micromarc, they fit to the engine mate @ Stav might be up for an alternator mate if it does come to that? :D Ahh yes maybe you dont want to go over bling or leave something to do next week lol.. But I'd be intrested to see how it comes out as was looking to paint my this weekend as others have. It's 10yrs old, very dirty and horrible, the polish could look great for awhile.. :D
  14. That looks really good mate, top stuff again & makes it look better than new.
  15. I must admit I'm not even a fan of them on audis but maybe in time after there are even more cars with these I'm sure I'll get use to them. But I like modding so well done :)
  16. How often does the oil need changing any1 send me to a guide how to do it, as mine if off the road I might as have ago. It's been well over 3 years since any sort of service I guess eeekkk :( I need belts etc as well I think as its at 115,000
  17. I took mine off, like others suggested cud be cheaper to buy the whole bootlid an spray. When you take all the sealent off there are 3 or so screw holes as well, which of course are going to need filling in as well... Then you need the whole bootlid spraying :D It was my spolier in the link lol ;) just looked How hard can it be to take a spoiler off? did you have much trouble with yours Chris I know it's a different type but they must all be glued on the same, if it's bolted on by 3 bolts then it really doesn't need super strong glue aswell surely please someone give me some hope It was easy to get off, just unscrewed then just kept hacking away at the sealent lol.. Is yours screwed on? it was the fact it leaves 3 holes they need filling as one is in the middle etc. When getting the glue off you may scratch it also so just take care, although a body shop will sort all that out when they spray it hopefully :D I left my badges off afterwards & sold the original spolier on ebay to pay for my fitting :) P.S ahhh I was missing the point your just after the spolier, it would probably only damage the bootlid an you didnt want that anyway so should be fine. Just need to take your time and break the sealent underneath and undo the screws if it has them n I expect it will have some for added safety :)
  18. I'm on 115,000 but a list of things need sorting the MOT failures is like a shopping list lol.. Engine wise it's still fine though :D mainly services & brakes I need to sort... Currently off the road for the last month, hoping to have it fixed by the end of next month...

  20. True the Apexi filter costs about £30-£40 but a universal one may just set you back around £10 :)
  21. Only just read about this further development, looks like it's going to be awesome fun mate in the summertime :) is that engine going to be to much for it though? Will be like a rocket lol
