  1. finger prints are just as easy to forge, all you need is a beer glass someone has been holding and you can build up laytex copy of it. i actually watched someone do it a few years back. retnal scanners would be good, but they can be screwed by contacts and glasses. Nothing will ever be totaly secure, you just have to be carefull. Most fraud still occurs with cash machines, like the signs say, if you see something dodgy dont use the machine. Amex also used to use photo's but people change over time, so it reduces the number of years a card can be vaild for.
  2. What program, flashes up that error. As to me it sounds like a fraud to get you to pay and dowload something. Best thing to do. go to this link and download MS defender beta 2 Linky and also worth doing a full virus scan, you can do one online at trend micro Linky that should kill any nasties. If that error keeps apparing post the program that its poping up, remember alot of sypware, is now designed to look like windows software Any more issues, give me a shout

  5. I like the new ones. and i also like it whith the front as high as it was. Im not a big fan of wheels STUFFED into the arches. Just my thoughts. but i would agree with the cement idea, possibly with a small peice of pipe to allow the water to continue to drain through!
  6. I have one of the HP Ipaq HW6500. Brilliant is all i can say, all the power of a pda + a phone and TomTom. the newer ones are more stable. only problem you can have with them is if the battery runs out you *can* sometimes lose all your data. But seeing as it syncs with your computer this isnt always a major issue.

  11. Hi all. Recently purchased some HB4/9006 Ring Ultra Xenon +50%. from Autobulbs as the dipped bulbs on it before were proper poo.. unfortunatly these appare to be quite crap as well... I bought a set of HB3 Ring Ultra for the main beam and they are great. does the 200 just suffer from crappy dipped lights or am just going blind? Cheers

  19. dont do a system restore, thoses things are the work of the devill !!!! you say when you connect your PSP and your IPOD they show up as unknown hardware. This means that for some reason windblows has lost the drivers. firstly remove the i-tunes upgrade. Do this through add/remove restart the compy plug in your ipod and see if it sees it. if it doesnt restart the computer again. open up device manager start-->settings-->control panel-->system on the tabs at the top select hardware, then select device manager. scroll down till you see the unkown device. right click on it and go to driver (top tab) click update driver put the ipod cd in the drive (close the autorun) ask it to scan for the driver on the cd. if it doesnt find the driver put the PSP driver cd in the drive and do the same, it should find the drivers. once they are installed you should be able to use them as normal. repeat for the other unknown device.. any issues give me a shout
  20. One that we should all stand by "if it aint broke, dont fix it"
  21. Trust me on this, wireless is really really really not worth the effort. everything in your house will interfere with it from walls to lights, cookers to fridges. I have set up and configured a couple of enterprise grade wireless systems and i have always found them to be hard work, they normally work well in open plan places, or places with thin walls. Thick walls and metal work will kill connections. also dont belive this etream G stuff that D-link pedel, you will NEVER hit the top speed, eg. 54mps wil never hit 54mps. you would be lucjy to hit 30. if you do want to use a wireless system, i would recomend Proxim, Cisco (if you have the money) or a belkin box. Dont be tempted to buy a cheap one as they normally dont produce results. also if you are having issues with range, it may be worth bridging between locations this envolves using 2 or more AP (access points) to extend the range. iuf you want any more info just ask Steve
  22. Hi all, Im having an issue with my clutch. It works fine no slippage, or judder. Other than the normal judder that comes with me trying to learn a new clutch... (used to drive a saxo so a slight change) anywhoo in start stop trafic when i depress the clutch when slowing down, i hear and odd tapping noise, souds a bit like this.. t t ttt this only happens in start stop traffic. if im pulling away normally its all fine, any idea's my dad, recons its the "thrust bearing" but im up for any suggestions. i have the car going in for a full service in the next few weeks, but would like some input as to what the noise is.. Cheers
