  1. I'd agree with the above, but what is your oil consumption like & mileage ?
  2. Did you try cadence breaking or was you foot just hard down on the brakes ? (manual kinda ABS pumping the brakes) With the RX there is a lot of weight to stop and without proper snow tyres or chains traction/braking will be a major issue with weather this bad.
  3. Item number: 280303076810 Item number: 250363566814 not sure but these may help :)
  4. Glad you are liking the car mate, mine still gives me a grin even after 30 months of ownership. Am a bit worried about the car not stopping (as mentioned above). Snow mode in the IS200 reduces throttle response greatly. I know on some other manufacturers cars it starts off the auto box in 3rd gear to stop too much power getting to the wheels. Unsure exactly of the operation on the GS. Was there a posibility of the throttle pedal being stuck under the carpet ? Happened to me once in my IS200 and it scared the crap outta me & my passenger !!
  5. I'd go for the Marantz CD6002 as recommended by What Hi-Fi magazine, I really like the way it presents the music (available in Black or Silver to match your other seperates, Richer Sounds have it in Black for just £214.95). It would be good if you could audition it back to back against maybe the NAD CD player as suggested or the Arcam DVD player or an Arcam CD player to find the one your ears like best. Music components are a very subjective thing, and a five star rating on a product doesn't always mean it will suit your system or your listening taste. From the £100 price point upwards an audition really is a must in a genuine Hi-Fi listening/demo room with a variety of the types of music you will be playing. Listen to a salesmans advice by all means, but the most important thing is what your own ears tell you. Any of those three above should be well worth auditioning. Good luck !! (don't forget to let us know how you get on :winky:)
  6. Any update Keith ? Have you fitted this yet ?
  7. Really sorry to hear this mate, any news at all from the Police ?
  8. If you take a gamble on it, do post up pics etc how well it fitted
  9. Maybe a Helicopter ride or a Flying Lesson ?
  10. Welcome back Chris, time to get the Supercharger on now !
  11. I think the ones like Paul mentions would be good, I have the footwell ones, and have considered going for the door options for a while now. Defo don't go for those sill ones Aido unless off-road at a meet/show IMO :tsktsk:
  12. yeah I remember that posting too Terry, still I suppose another reminder shouldn't do any harm :)
  13. Think so matey, it just keeps the hot air from entering the air intake. The theory is cooler air = denser air, denser air = bigger bang. I don't know if it is that effective in practice, but that's the theory anyways mate.
  14. That would be my choice TBH. I have seen the TOM's one up close, but think it's just a tiny bit small. I would suggest professional bodyshop do the fitting, especially if bolting on, and also ask how they would protect any holes against rust....
