  1. A manual Supra box is strong, a friend of mine has a 600bhp single turbo set up in his UK manual Supra, he's uprated the clutch but the box is standard. If you can find one I'd buy a complete manual Supra perhaps accident damaged, that way you have pretty much everything you need.
  2. Welcome on board Steve.
  3. Looks and sounds like a great car but I would check with Lexus that the correct services have been carried out as it's easy just to get stamps in the book for oil changes alone, if it has documentation/bills to back it up even better. Depends how much you want it and if you are willing to pay a premium for the car, I paid top money for my Sportcross because it was low mileage and it had a checkable history but I still had a few expensive niggles, but at the end of the day I'm really pleased I paid the extra and got the car I wanted. To be fair, how many LS400's are out there for sale with that sort of mileage. Good luck in whatever you choose Jonathan.
  4. Damn, wish I had that on my Sportcross.................I loved the memory seats in my LS400.
  5. Hi John and welcome.....................bet Saturday can't come soon enough!
  6. Welcome on board Todd, lovely looking car.
  7. At last you've sorted it, well done that man! I've just ordered a pair of Sachs shocks from the same place as you and also a pair of suspension top mounts from Lexus, as I've already had all the calipers overhauled with brand new Lexus parts so I'm really hoping the new top mounts and struts cure my noise. Enjoy your holiday.
  8. Thanks again Tony, must admit I'm thinking of going for a pair of these myself plus the company sound good to deal with which is a bonus. I'm afraid the RM are getting worse, gone are the days of a regular postie who knows his round and in some cases his customers.
  9. That's good news, seemingly a wise move/choice. I take it the link you posted up, those are a straight swap, also were the company good to deal with?
  10. Many thanks for the information Tony. What is your opinion of the Sachs shocks on the car? Best of luck with the other drop link, hope it improves things further.
  11. Tony, glad you are getting closer to sorting this issue, what is your opinion on the Sachs shocks? If you don't mind my asking, how much were the shocks and where did you buy them? I now have the funds to get a set of shocks plus I'm going to order a set of top suspension mounts from Lexus just to make sure.
  12. Gutted for you Stuart, I'm glad the cyclist is ok but anything involving them on the claims/insurance front is a potential headache as they often seem immune from the normal laws that govern every other road user. Thankfully your cyclist seems to be on board, let's hope he stays that way and it goes without saying you can get everything sorted without hassle and cost to yourself.
  13. Welcome back to the fold Chris, looks like a nice car. Bristol based myself, so might see you around! Here is the ebay link to the module Lee mentioned: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/lexus-is200-300-sat-nav-flip-up-OEM-screen-activation-module-/231253663236?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item35d7cade04
  14. Not a nice situation to be in, I hope everything comes good for you in the end Jon.
  15. Really sorry to see your leaving Ian, a valued member indeed. Wishing you all the best for the future and hope you may return to the fold one day.
  16. Good news Tony, much the same result as mine when it had it's recent MOT. It would be interesting to hear of anyone's experience of Sachs shocks. Going to pick my refurbed wheels up next week and once funds allow I'm going back to the knocking issue to try and resolve it, still not a 100% sure which shocks to buy though.
  17. Welcome on board Dennis, wishing you much enjoyment from your GS.
  18. Looks great, I considered doing something similar a while back but thought it would be overly heavy?
  19. Not a bad price, any ideas what they are like in terms of performance and ride compared to originals?
  20. Hi Mark, sorry to hear of your problems. One thing occurs to me is if you bought it through ebay and the car doesn't match the sellers description, if indeed it was described as excellent or similar, you can get your money refunded. It would be reasonable to assume that you cannot check a cars underside fully on collection so as long as a short time has elapsed since buying you would have good case I would have thought. Not sure though if by "private" you bought it outside of ebay? Whatever you decide I wish you all the best.
  21. Very much appreciated Ian, I owe you one, club spirit at it's best.
  22. Ian your a star, PM with address sent. Can I sort you out with some cash?
