  1. I dont have any problems with speed humps with my sport. sometimes manage to scrape it on kerbs tho :( the wipers can be manually shifted either down (behind the bonnet) or up sticking out a bit, It should detail how to do this in the manual if you have one. I love my GS I think you will too :)
  2. I like a free lunch :) and people say there's no such thing. Glad it's working anyway :)
  3. much easier to use a motorbike for that challenge as you can pretty much stay in the middle of the road and slip past everything. :)
  4. Hey Dude the 13901 refers to IS200 s model with out the external amp & only 6 speakers. The 13902 is the model for the IS200 SE. more info here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...33&hl=13901
  5. It's not hard as long as you have the right tools. Changing pads is very easy, but getting the callipers of to remove the disc might be a bit trickier, The bolts were a bit seized up on mine and required careful use of a 3ft breaker bar to get them undone. You can't really go wrong as long as you set aside enough time and have the right tools. Good luck
  6. FINALLY. I found a fuse in the player 2 foot well and it was labelled TV with some Japanese under it 15A fuse had blown, popped in another and its been fine since, yay!! Not sure what caused it to blow in the first place, so I'll keep an eye on it. Just happy its working.
  7. Checked what fuses I could find, no luck. now its getting worse and the screen will just flash on and off!!!! anyone have any idea's? thanks
  8. Thanks anyway :) car starts perfectly and everything else works fine too just satnav, seems everytime i turn on the ignition it's reset. so would seem to be a constant power issue. I'll check some fuses at the weekend.
  9. Got in the car the other day and the whole GPS system had reset, there was no trip info and the map was telling me I was just outside London, which was strange as I was sure I worked in Leeds. I eventually set it back up again by using the calibrate function and all seemed good again for a day. Got in the car this morning and it had reset again. The radio works fine all tuned in, remembers what track and where I was on the CD etc, just the satnav section. Does it have a separate fuse I could check? Anyone else had this problem? It's a 1999 CD Based system if that helps.
  10. Ive not got a bluray movie yet, waiting for Sony to send me the free Casino Royale. but from the HD trailers i've seen on the ps3, they look just as good as the HD DVD's Ive got running on the 360. I like my movies too but the noise the 360 makes arrgghhh!!! so annoying. I'll be interested in the new 360 Elite, the one with HDMI and 120 Gig Drive. It's using a smaller die size for the cpu so it should be easier to cool, also should mean it would be quieter too. all they need to do now is put in a much quieter DVD Rom Drive too. The PS3 really has this concern licked. it's as quiet as a normal DVD player. Amazing for the power of the beast.
  11. Right then, I've had my PS3 for a few days, here's what I think. Out of the box, It blows away the 360 for me in many ways, First of all is how quiet the machine is, I couldnt even tell it was switched on, which cannot be said for my 360 which sounds like a swarm of angry hair dryers. Trying to watch a HD DVD on the 360 with all that racket going on really spoils the mood for me. I downloaded the demo of Ridge Racer 7 and Straight away I could see the VAST improvement over the 360's Ridge Racer 6. Motorstorm is trully stunning in the later levels and on the replays etc you would think your watching live High Def TV, it really is that good. I have both consoles running in 1080p on my 55" sxrd Tv and it's fair to say that at the moment the PS3 wins for Graphics quality. The joypad on the PS3 does have motion sensors but in the games I have played they either dont use them correctly or the ones in the pad are just poor, this isnt anywhere near as good as the one's in the Wii. The online functions are very similar to Xbox Live with a buddy list and it shows what games they are playing etc. you can use a standard Bluetooth hands free headset for online chat. and you can use a bluetooth or USB keyboard and mouse for the built in web browser (much better then the one on Wii so far) One other little thing that could be huge, is the useful option to install Linux to the PS3's HDD this is something that the PS3 allows it's called Install Other OS basically lets you dual boot the system making it a fully fledged personal computer with 7 core processor!!! should be sweet once the homebrewers get the hang of it. If you have a nice HDTV I would say the PS3 is the best thing you could plug into it at the moment. The price, Is Excessive but no more so than a 360 with HD DVD and a wireless adapter. Im very Happy with it and it can only get better as time goes on. But dont bother with it unless you have a HDTV to make the most of it.
  12. Yeah was awesome, I thought, it was going to be a wheelchair lol
  13. Well the way I figure it, if i have all 3 main consoles then im not stuck thinking damn I really want to play that game. I love the Virtua Fighter games and it's not out on 360 for a few months yet. same with Tekken games so I pony up and buy a PS3, hopefully it will be cracked wide open soon so I can use it as a High Def media player too and Finally retire my trust old xbox with XBMC.
  14. Yup crazy old me is going to pick up my PS3 tonight at midnight, booked tomorrow off work so I can geek with it when I get home. Anyone else stupid enough to sell a kidney to buy one yet?
  15. Stick with your PC, you will get bored of the Mac so quickly as they dont go wrong often enough to keep you occupied :) S'pose you could always install windows on your new mac, for some late night registry editing... you only really need an uber powerful pc for gaming, if you still plan on doing gaming then you dont want a mac.
  16. can you boot up in safe mode and then remove it using add/remove programs?
  17. oooh that was a bit of a downer :( wonder what else is hiding in season 1? Im looking forward to this weeks ep, and finding out how Locke ended up in a wheelchair.
  18. I was re-watching season 1 episode 3 of lost for about the 5th time (cuz im such a geek) and I Think I found what the producers said most people had missed or overlooked from the first season. if its what I think it is it could be HUGE !!!!. anyway here's a link to the scene where i saw it. see if you can spot it, cuz im damn sure I wouldnt have noticed had I not been looking for it. Lost Picture Clue
  19. Zelda is awesome :) I also just got Excite Truck, One of the best looking games on the wii at the moment and it's really great fun :)
  20. composites will give your the poorest picture quality you really should be using the firewire socket for the best quality, Ive only used windows movie maker and I really havent noticed any sound quality issues. the files will be huge tho. windows movie maker is quite basic but it gets you into video editing. the best low price software i have used is sony's Vegas movie studio+dvd. very nice.
  21. best place would be to rip it all out of a car from a scrap yard as all the parts would need to match. I dont think the CD nav unit works with the newer Widescreen LCD etc. Source everything together and your onto a winner. It's not an easy task though. it's far simpler to fit an aftermarket Nav unit and it would more than likely have better features too.
  22. have you tried setting to AM rather than FM, I was under the impression that it adjusts height for the modulation type too.
  23. I use some very easy to use and free software called E107, its a dynamic website, with forums and user log in etc. It's hosted with this company www.powweb.com which for 6 dollars offers more than you will need for your first website. they use an easy to use web interface for setting everything up and you can install the e107 or lots of other web packages from the user interface. I think they were also offering a free web domain too so for your 6 dollars a month you get everything you need to be up and running in 10 mins. if you would like to look at 2 of my sites I run using the E107 software then here they are. www.xbox3sixty.co.uk and www.xl100.co.uk
  24. Looks cheap but I wouldn't trust my life with unknown brake parts.
  25. Adding new people is a joke on the Wii, It seems to be random as to when it will authorize someone. why they thought this idea was good is beyond me, they used the same system for the DS and that really spoilt online gaming too. Microsoft sure got Xbox Live right !!
