  1. Possibly a faulty earth somewhere causing the strange light effects and a draining of power going to the engine
  2. I just filled up mine 90% of my driving is stop start to and from work (about 5 mile away) and about half a mile of ragged dual carriageway. I got over 23 mpg which I think is fab using sainsburys super unleaded
  3. probably german I quite like the new audi a5
  4. Errr yes there is on the later models at least
  5. Isnt it near the passenger side headlight
  6. its in the display settings somewhere same place as the colour options i think
  7. Im 22 and paying under 500 notes for an 05 se
  8. Great install however a couple of questions Why power caps? you have enough battery power there to run a small country I would personally take them out as they wont help voltage stability. I would personally also re think the kit used the rainbow comps are awesome but coupling them with the 6*9s kenwood and and those subs is going to waste what great potential they have. Great installation skills though I would never have the guts to do that to my car
  9. wrong its for all hid's fitted auto levelling and washers are needed
  10. You dont need a conversion kit you just need bulbs
  11. if this was a straight forward plug and play device id be interested as it looks way cool
  12. Why would you have to replace all the cables? Cant you just swap out the unit?
  13. Your happy paying 2k a year insurance? WOW!!! As for fuel 50 quid should get you about 300 mile on a decent trip but not much more I wouldnt have thought. I wouldnt be put off having an 85K plus car however make sure its had its belt changed and see if the water pump was done at the same time. Other faults would include ball joints so have a nosy around there for movement etc. Lastly check the inside tire wear the geometry was out from factory which causing inside tyre problems so check them out. Its an easy fix but something that should be looked out for
  14. do you allow the system to prime before you start? What i mean is the wiring noise you get when you first turning the ignition on. I believe thats the injection system pressurising (it is on bikes anyway).
  15. what year is yours? A 52 plate I dont think yours are the darker satin ones then
  16. Hi and welcome. Depending on what you want you can go for either the se or the sport the sport is a bit lower and has an lsd but thats about it. I terms of the general is200 questions they are very comfortable especially long distance they are extremely reliable however the know on effect to that is that they do drink fuel and when it comes to fixing and servicing what little does need changing does cost a bit. No more than merc or bm just probably a bit more than general motors
  17. I was thinking more that the cars that suffer with lower fuel consumption also seem to be younger and have less miles on them
  18. it would have started life at around 156bhp it would have lost some by now though
  19. Just a thought could you all write down how old you car is how many miles its done and what sort of life its had mostly motorway etc and also when was it last serviced and was it a big or little service mines an 05 plate has done 32K was serviced at 30K I dont know what sort of life it had but im guessing motorway and it know does the 5 miles commute to work and back
  20. Its a shame ep racing dont have any prices on their site
  21. im going to take a sub par educated guess here and say that fixing the geo will reduce your mpg. more of the tyre on the road means it has more grip, which i guess in turn means more effort to roll it. i think hot weather has something to do with economy... ive had mine for 4months now, and i was used to getting 400miles out of 60ltrs [light comes on for last 10ltrs], but the last 2 tank fulls, im getting only 320ish... ive lost nearly 20% in mpg. odd really! Id say hotter temperature would lower fuel usage as the air is warmer and less dense in turn cousing you to use more fuel in winter
  22. Theres 4 settings for the normal lights off, sidelight, low beam and auto. Try the auto option and see if that helps as that will make sure the right ones come on at the right time
