  3. Hi, i need some advise - I'm trying to find a set of brake disc and pads all round but it seems confusing. i seen some on a popular online auction site and when phoned up i was told that the 05/06 450H is a different set up to 07 onward is this true? are not all GS model the same disc and pad set up? the item is still listed but when choosing variant it say something like the below which to me makes no sense as i don't knwo what this means can anyone explain GRS19_, UZS19_, GWS19_ [2005-2011] Saloon GRS19_, UZS19_, GWS19_ [2006-2011] Saloon GRS19_, UZS19_, URS19_ [2005-2011] Saloon I have seen in the usual pleas like euro car parts who sell only pagid disc and i hear they are not good.... anyone experienced these disc though the do have brembo pads which is good. Or can anyone point to towards other brand or places where i can source disc and pads Thanks usuf

  7. I brought it private only had it a week. it has full Lexus service history bar the last one as the previous owner didn' want to shell our more than he wanted to as he was planning on selling it. it has 110k miles And it being Se-l has all the gizmo's and the radar cruise is great
  8. Thanks for the heads up. It's one of thing's I did read up and tbh my Mercedes rear shocks where the same and that cost £600 so pretty much know what I'm I'm for... SS exhaust is something I will venture into when the time comes.
  9. Hi All, I thought id say hello (I'm fairly sure i was a member many moons ago) as i'm now a proud owner of a 2006 GS450H and boy what a machine it is, the power in it is insane for a large car and it's pretty good on fuel too. This i s my 2nd Lexus so know a little about the brand and love its gadget as I had a GS300 Sport MK1 with the BIG wheels (miss that) I'm coming from owning a Mercedes E240 Avantgarde/LPG for the last 9 years (mainly for family) and now have decided the time is right to move back to what I Loved (plus the Mrs now got an Smax ) and this car is a different kettle of fish. I have been rummaging through the site for a while and picking up some useful information but now that i have the car it was a good time to join and say hello. some pics om my ride, will see if there are any of my old GS300 Sport. I'm sure I will have many questions about this car and look forward to seeing other members maybe even a little mini meet if anyone is close by. Thanks usuf
  10. Hi and Hello, Been a long time since I was last on here thing shave change a bit. I used to have a 1997 MK1 GS300 Sport on LPG for 3 years (Luxury and trouble free motoring) but sold it due to family requirements changing so ended up buying an 2000 Mercedes E Class Estate on LPG. Now the family requirements have changed again!!!! and even though I can still keep the Mercedes as a family car its too big for the Mrs who prefers the Corolla she has, as for me the Mercedes is a great car but it just does not the same presence as the Lexus did and the fact its an estate and being driven to work its not being used for the purpose I had initially brought it for now. SO - I'm looking to come back to the Lexus world and ideally looking at buying a MK1 sport on LPG again, though I have to sell my car 1st, So if you see any thing potential please do keep me in mind.
  11. go to app store and make use of the apps (theres a couple of orange apps too) I get bored of random apps easily and found with previous phones if I stuck an app on, I used it that day and forgot about it so was kind of pointless, I just figured the iphone may not win me over in that respect and is a lot of money, altho I love the browser Yeah thats what i did downloaded apps then never used after a few times lol
  12. wow i aint been on here for some time its looks so modern loving the new look.... As the title says are ther many users on here who have experience with this phone? 14. Thats right i have this problem it just happend my fob stopped working. I thought it was the battery then i checked o here and reset thanks... its saved me time to get a battery and probaly £5 for the battery it self cheers
  15. I would also say it sounds like a sticky piston in your brake capiler, you should get tem checked. I have had the same issue (ont he left) and i think its back again :tsktsk: on the left!!!!!!
  16. I had a long life exhaust system on my previous car and can not fault it
  17. Better LATE then NEVER... Finally got time and had it checked out after living with it for a few months, took it to a place called hilton autogas in Wolverhampton (Great people and Fantastic service), Was almost a good 2 hours drive but one well worth the hassel. The guy checks the system firstly he does a saftey inspection and then he did a diagnostic checks and theres me standing there scracthing my head trying to understand what he actually doing under the car He comes back to me after 20mins and says was the sytem fitted in the dark ages lol to which I reply yeah early 2001. he then wenton to say that it was indeed the Vaporiser that was too lean and it was not giving to correct amount of gas most of the time, mainly idlling. He said he had made a few adjusts ments and it should be fine and it running normally but recommeded me to change the vaporiser as the current one is well into its last few laps before it gives up. He didnt even charge me for his service so was well chuffed ( I guess I told him that I came a long way ) So now im booked in to go back this weekend and have a new one fitted with new pipes and a complete flush and set up to make it purr :winky:

  20. When my lil one one born we where told that we can only put a baby seat in the front if you can turn off the air bag system, which you can on most new cars. But for saftey reason we kept the rear facing seat in the rear seats.

  22. That sounds steep to me too, I take its from Lexus dealership. Have you thought about going to other reputable garages?
  23. To me it sounds like the starter or even the solenoid might need changing.....but always good to check the battery 1st and then move on to these things
