  1. wow that was a good price... well i will keep this in mind next time fingers crossed i dont need to
  2. So finally got around to changing my brake Disc and pads all round ( that i brought months ago from Lexus ) over the weekend and guess what they where both seized, I had a feeling they were as the rear disc were not full contacting the old disc, I guess it was wishful thinking that they will be fine lol. Damn the calipers are not cheap (dont even think about asking Lexus) even refurbished sets are eye watering prices but the garage had no choice then by some miracle and to my surprise the garage managed to free up the pins and get them free so saved me a packet.... Is there away to keep the calipers free from seizing in the future or anything that can be done during servicing, not that i will ever know now as i got new set of pads an disc all round. will this have impacted on my MPG and will it be much better now that the calipers are free?
  3. Sounds like they are wiling to help, always good to hear positive news from dealers which is rare
  4. pretty expensive for what it does and i dont think the sound will be too good either playing from the deck
  5. thanks thats right it looks like a clean set up only thing is i dont have 3.5 mm nor auxiliary in my GS450h mines 56 plate ( or do they)
  6. im in the same boat, i don't want to spend too much nor do any surgery so what would be the best FM transmitters that you guys have used and works well as there are so many out there
  7. OK so the cars gone back And they went through the bonnet and bumper with fine tooth comb with a pink pen and highlighted the spot'' As you can see there were loads..
  8. Wow impressive figures. the hybrid help massively and certainly no reason to get a large diesel
  9. When you say never worked I guess you tried the switch to make it come up and go down....did you check the fuse
  10. Thanks for the input. Michal yes it was a new bonnet fitted under warranty...I was very impressed with the service and support from them, I went only knowing that lexus gave 12 year corrosion warranty and with only a few month lefts I thought they would turn me down but it helps I guess if the body shop supprt your claim. I was only asking as I wasn't sure where I stood on compensation....I have no issues with the dealer I'm glad they are sorting it without any hassle. Infact he offered to do the other extras. ... Will update when I get more information or when they call me back. I'd suggest if anyone is pondering the idea give it àgo, I have read other members have not been successful.
  11. Good result Martin 👍 When mine was showing the same I too was dreading the TPMS.... but it was a nail in the tyre phew.... they don't come cheap for a small unit
  12. Thanks yes the guy there "Joey" is really helpful and friendly, once I had shown him one he spotted more himself, it was clearly not in one place but sporadic through out the bonnet and bumper.... He apologised and clearly its a defect with the workmanship and yes the other FOC stuff is a bonus I guess he needs to make up for the hassle. though where do i stand in terms of compensation due this hassle, do I have a leg to stand on or just ask him and see what he can do? Atm waiting on them to let me know when i can take it back in (car dependant, i was adamant i didn't want a small car again😠)
  13. OK so got some time to take a few pictures not pleased once i washed the car and started to notice the smallest of imperfections
  14. I get this message. - There was a problem processing the uploaded file. -200 is it me or am i doing something wrong when i try to upload a picture. I searched the site but could not find anything... has anyone else come across this message and how have you dealt with it.... Thanks is advance usuf
  15. If it helps....I had a MK1 Lexus gs300 sport and w210 Mercedes E Class both on LPG and in the 13 years of ownership swapped them over with regular plugs from ECP (good quality ones) never had issues...though I never brought online worried about fakes...
  16. Like the topic My daily drive varies Monday to Thursday is the GS450h but before that it my Mercedes which I still have sitting on my driveway with a missing drive belt Here she is when I took care of her she not so great looks atm lol Mr rust came between us and it didn't work out...I tried to make it work but she was having none of it and enjoyed Mr rusts company more... I lived with it till I saw and fell in love with the GS450h. The other days I drive the family Ford 2011 SMAX titanium ...great car/mpv sorry no pictures on my phone but its in that mica metallic grey colour.
  17. Looking lovely and the cream is a ood colour combo. I see you have a sunroof (moonroof in Lexus world)but no radar cruise.... I thought this was a combined option. MPG wise I get around 31-33 local driving and dual carriageway sometimes less as you say the acceleration is fun lol On long journey when I brought the car that screen read 40MPG but I'm sure we need to take that with a pinch of salt. I worked out whatever the screen is showing I would take 2 MPG off to sound reasonable.
  18. I like exhausts that has hum saying I got power and when you need a roar its there....
  19. Thats a lot of killing been done lol. Did you mark which fly is from which country lol
  20. Mine does the same. It feels like it is on to when there is no movement and the hybrid battery is has plenty of charge. I also wanted ask this question myself as being new to hybrid myself.I found it odd that I could feel the engine is on but the screen shows good battery yet engine came on. on initial morning start up I hear the engine but after driving for a bit and when coming to a stop...all quiet
  21. Congratulations welcome to the GS world. Where are the pictures....
  22. Update on this.... I had spotted a few imperfections...it was difficult to tell due to the dull weather but when the sun was out and I was cleaning the car I started to notice very small and very minor grit type marks in the paintop and under the lacquer. ... Then when I found one I saw more lol on the bumper and on wing. Went back to them and they agree and is booked in again to get it ALL redone again...I have expressed that I don' want a Yaris lol so when they find me a larger car it' going back They also said they will fix up another small dent and a chip on the lower wing for free.... It doesn't effect the warranty in any way...fingers crossed it better this time... Will put up some pictures of what I'm seeing
  23. Im a fan of the autopilot and think in a few years time these will become more popular. I'd certainly love to try it but not from the passengers seat obviously. That driver is a numpty and careless just because it drives it's self doesn't mean not to sit behind the wheel.
