  3. 1st choice was blue (whichI got) I like the greyish colour but didn't want red, green, white, gold, or silver.
  4. Sounds like a seal to me, does it have the original windscreen or a replacement, (could be when it was replaced it wasn't sealed properly) check all your door seals are on properly aswell when I got my Lex some of the door seals had come away and just needed cliping back in place, if it's not these then try what the other guys have said a good clean and use the a/c to clear it quicker.
  5. In the buy and sell section under IS200 everything for sale Monster Mat is breaking an IS and selling all the bits. Welcome to LOC :)
  6. I use Magnatec in mine runs sweet with it, there may be a specific type/brand to use but i've always put Magnatec in my cars and my uncle puts it in his Impreza STI with no problems.
  7. Don't worry i'm not buying one just wondered if everyone else felt the same as me about sh :tsktsk: te like this for sale, and if anyone had actualy bought one.
  8. Wasn't thinking of getting one just come across them when browsing, i've seen the clip things before that go on the fuel line and other cr :tsktsk: p like those but this seems a little ott to try and get people to part with there hard earned cash.
  9. Just seen this on e-bay and wondered what everyone thought about it or if anyones used one? 11. changing the oil's easy, it's the filter thats a pain in the a :tsktsk: e, if you gan get one of those chain wrench thingy's it may be easier than the old screwdriver and hammer trick.
  12. Cheers guys, doing mine blue to match the bodywork and silver because I think that will go best with the blue. But whatever colour you choose it'll still look tasty
  13. Cheers Stav, will make sure there spotless 1st, nice one.
  14. Just wondering if anyone has used Hammerite paint on there calipers recently, i'm going to paint mine as soon as the weather gets better and i've got a tin of direct to rust blue smooth which I used for tarting up my daughters slide, i've seen some older posts some saying it's good and some saying not so good so just wanted to know if anyones done it recently and if it's ok, also ordered some caliper stickers in silver which should look the dogs dangles with the blue paint. Cheers guys.
  15. Got mine from Lex £36ish colour coded but they only have a few colours available.
  16. I took all the casing/trim off in the footwell and along the bottom of the door sil and managed to get my hand up from the side when I did mine I also took all of the bolts off the amp so it moved about a bit can't remember how it unclipped but it only took me 45 mins or so to fit new head unit hope this helps.
  17. I get an average of about 28mpg fannying around town but on a recent family holiday down to Cornwall I got 400odd miles out of a full tank (shell fuel with red X), I think it was just under 400 miles before I needed more fuel.
  18. Does this only happen when you get home? Have you had the brakes done recently? if so check everythings been tightened up properly, if not then check the ball joints, shocks stuff like that they might just need a nip with a spanner.
  19. I've had a knocking noise for about 3 weeks, i've had ball joints, wish bone, brakes, drop links, anti roll bars, bushers, shocks, and tyres all checked and there all fine, now it's starting to whine a bit so thats why i'm guessing bearings (if not then at least there done). Why do you think yours need doing are they just whining or have you had a knock aswell? Just a rough idea £65 each for bearings from my local parts stockist, and i guess about 2 hours work at a garage about £40 per hour so I reckon about £210ish. I'm going to book mine in next week so will let you know exactly how much but different garages charge different prices for labour. I'm getting n/s front done Tuesday, o/s is ok it's going to cost me £160 all in, i'm 99% convinced thats the problem although it's unusual for a bearing to knock! Been in and had the bearing replaced today, knocking all gone, Happy Days.
  20. ok cheers Fluff, looks like it's going to a garage then.
  21. I need to change my front wheel bearings and could do with some advice, I basically need to know how easy they are to do, are the any special tools required and do I need a press? or can they be done by hand? don't really want to pay someone to do them if I can do them myself.
  22. Ring Lexus, if you give them the chassis number they should have the serial number for the keys on computer and be able to order replacements, still not cheap though, i'd only do this though if yor sure the keys are lost in your house somewhere you don't want to get your new keys leave it out of the garage and find it gone 10mins later, also check your insurance policy some cover lost/stolen keys you may be able to get the keys/locks changed through them and just pay the excess.
  23. ok cheers i'll get the shocks checked but i'm hoping it's something stupid and cheap. Shocks are fine had the tyres checked and balanced there fine, any suggestions now would be a big help, seems to happen when the wheels are turned but it's not there when going straight, i'm going to strip it down a bit further on Friday(If it's not raining) but it's really doing my head in now. Just got back from the garage with no joy everthing is as it should be, the only thing I can think of now is wheel bearings, other than that i'm stumped. N/S front wheel bearing, got it done today noise all gone at last
  24. 245's on rear has anyone done this? I went to have my rear tyres changed they didn't have 215's but said they can put slightly larger tyres on rear(apparently this is what BMW do on 3series) i've been going to this garage for years and totaly trust them, they are motor sport experts, i've not had any trouble and the handlings fine so just wondered if anyone else has gone down this route or if I should go back to original size
  25. How do you get into the car without key?
