  1. I just fitted my new L-tuned rims (VERSUS Campionato SS7 by Rays engineering)
  2. Thanks mateys :) I'm thinking of going for a road trip to England and maybe come to one of your Lex meets. In Sweden we don't even have a Lexus club anymore. It's not hard to do. My current problem is that the headlight lenses are scratched from all the stone chips throughout the years. I will probably buy new headlights and in that case I'll have to do the conversion again. Thank you. Photographing is a hobby of mine :) _____________________________________________________ Now the boot lip is painted and mounted I've also laid my hands on a set of A/C chrome rings Yesterday my new rims were sent from West Yorkshire. I finally found the L-tuned 18" 7-spoke rims for sale. Hopefully DHL will deliver them tomorrow. VERSUS Campionato SS7 by Rays engineering
  3. Hi, I've just bought a set of Rays Versus Campionato SS7 (L-tuned) rims. Would it be possible to buy the Lexus center caps from you? Thanks Like this one
  4. Hi mate, Have you seen my thread? http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=48020 Cheers
  5. Thanks :) The headlights are my original ones but I made a few modifications to them - http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=49282 You are correct. My American cousin will help me find the car I'm looking for. There is currently one manual IS300 in Sweden (imported a year ago). It's for sale, but they want £19200 for it. That's more than twice the price in the states.
  6. I just thought I'd post a few pics of my car. Hopefully I will find the manual IS300 I'm looking for and replace this one before the summer is over. The day I bought it, almost a year ago Its current state. TRD front lip, sports grille, black painted headlight clusters, CCFL angel eyes This gives you an idea of how bright the CCFL rings actually are. My headlights were switched off when I took the following three pictures. HKS Silent HiPower TTE boot lip spoiler - is beeing painted at the moment. Sony NV-U93T iPod Nano Video 8GB My interior, from a 2004 IS200
  7. Pics of my IS200 with TRD front spoiler EDIT: Sorry, I thought you were asking for pics of the TRD front spoiler. Pics removed.
  8. That's what the headlight look like if they are HIDs. At least here in Sweden, most IS200s from 2002 onward have got those.
  9. ATTENTION! Note that AAC in the video are americans, hence 250 degrees fahrenheit. I had my oven set to 125 degrees celsius and left my headlights in it for 15-20 minutes. Also, don't put your headlights into the oven before it has reached the desired temperature and has stabilized. Good luck
  10. That's my hand fitting the rubber sealing. Anyway, there is such a tiny bit of the sealing visible that you won't notice it when the skirt is fitted. I can take a few photos for you tomorrow if you want :)
  11. I feel a bit sad to say I'm not that impressed with the IS-F. Sure, it's a great piece of engineering, but it doesn't feel very special unless you really floor the pedal. Then it becomes a really fast IS250/350. Anyway, I took a few photos of it and also two short video clips. Cheers Videos: http://www.garaget.org/video/gdf6mt4b91yf http://www.garaget.org/video/1aav8mnkevqr
  12. Yes, I used the factory glue as AAC recommended. It worked great and I haven't had any condensation problems. If you look at the pics from the conversion you can see that the orange lenses were removed when I resealed the headlights. However, in the last picture the indicators were flashing. I use orange bulbs as I acutally like the vague orange color inside the housings when the indicators are switched off. This is how they look: It's hard to say if they are the same as mine, as there are no detailed pictures of the rings. I would however guess that most of them are from the same manufacturer. I quick ebay search brought up rings that look exacly like mine (item number: 190223674517). I would recommend these, but I'm not sure about the color temperature. Mine are supposed to be 8000K and these say 12.000K but the pictures suggest they are the same. Good luck mate. Please let me know if you get stuck in the process. Cheers
  13. Thanks :) Apparently they had the same problem with their first generation of ballasts, but I heard they have sorted it. However, my halos seem to have improved as they've been used more and more. I'm totally pleased with them. Thank you very much :) This is my latest picture of it:
  14. No worries, mate :) I just realized I didn't upload the rest of the pictures, so here they come: And with the new grille I test fitted the eybrows on my headlights again but it looks really bad. Fortunately the eybrows are so flexible I can put them somewhere else on the car. Of course I will also let you see how it looks as soon as I've found the pics I took. Thanks again for all the nice comments
  15. The grey Porsche is a 997 Turbo = 4WD
  16. Sound clips are recorded mate ;) I just have to upload them when I get home from work today. Will the HKS Silent muffler fit an IS300, does anyone know? I'm currently looking at buying one from the states as I have a few relatives over there.
  17. Totally useless, but I like flashing lights and I had some spare time :D Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  18. I've now decided to go for a TTE boot lip spoiler, but it's £152 at my local dealer, plus painting. The small trunk lips on ebay, are they the same as the TTE one? Item numbers: 160236185838 140230341658 160237701889
  19. Gurka is the Swedish word for cucumber. That reminds me of the Honda Jazz. Apparently it was supposed to be called Honda Fitta (Fitta being a very harsh word for vagina in Swedish), but they found out about their mistake and changed the name.
  20. I've just bought four brand new original rims and new tyres. The calipers are painted black and gold Lexus stickers are applicated.
  21. Mine does the same thing when cold. However, it stays that way in certain conditions even when the engine is warm. For example, if I'm driving 60mph in 6th gear and quickly release the accelerator I get the same distinct difference between the constant speed and slow down. It's not at all as bad as when the engine is cold, but it's noticable. The same thing if I push the pedal down again when the car is slowing down.
  22. I seem to have a similar problem. Whenever I pull away from low revs I get a sqeeking noise that sounds just like belt noise. The thing is, though, I don't need to touch the clutch pedal to experience the squeek. If I'm driving slowly in e.g. second gear and then press the accelerator I get the squeek for approximately one second before it disappears. I'm the kind of person who hates annoying sounds from the car, so I really want to get it fixed even though it might not be harmful. The first time I noticed the sound was just after I had my timing belt changed. I figured it could be one of the other belts, so I had them changed as well, but it didn't help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  23. yeah i think you are right, the hks is not in stock so if i want one it will take few weeks before it is available.. :) but i would like to have more sound clips first :) Sound clips are coming. I'm sorry for the delay Haven't had time to record any, but hopefully tomorrow.
  24. As you can see in the other thread, this is where I put mine:
  25. Thanks mates! I ordered the sports grille quite a while ago. It arrived in Sweden yesterday, so hopefully I will be able to fit it tomorrow :)
