pah....the kit is absolutely pants!! I had it in my car when myself and Paul were testing / researching all the options....a complete load of rubbish, many others here saw it and laughed at it too!! Even if it is only 25quid...I still wouldn't let the guy selling them have the privilage of taking my money as he is a complete :tsktsk: ! Also for the record and encase you have seen it advertised...the Lextasy kit is only fractionally better...and i mean fractionally, to my mind it is still not worth the money...oh and one of the bulbs went after only a few months of using the kit! I'm affraid that unless you want to undertake Paul's LED DIY mod...your never going to get the real deal!!

Following on from Nick's topic about Induction kits, I've thought up a few questions..... Looking through that Induction kit test that Phonedrome posted up, it appears that the HKS lets far too much crap through the filter...as I have been running my HKS Super PowerFlow jobby with the Supercharger for a year now...what kind of damage could this have caused to the car...if any?? I have been thinking of changing the kit for a while...now I'm leaning towards the Apexi! Does anybody know the diameter of the Silicon pipe that the filter fits into....Mark perhaps you could confirm? Also and just out of interest, this may seem like a stupid question, but does the Supercharger system ever need cleaning/flushing out....i mean to clean the insides of the pipe work and intercooler, etc....if so can it be down without taking it all apart? I picked mine up through www.upauto.co.uk it was back in the day when Lexus performance exhausts weren't so easy to come by, i.e. they had to come in from Japan! Think i paid around £480 all in with the shipping included!

Indeed it does, I have the Apexi N1 on my IS...I also think it's better than the HKS Hiper...very similar in looks but a better fit to the bumper and it angles up very slightly too! I'm pretty sure I am about the only person on LOC with the Apexi N1.... :D

Work have recently let me keep my old laptop as part of our IT site upgrade...its only about 2 years old so is still pretty useful...good bit of luck there eh!! I have bought a power cable for it which runs off the ciggy lighter so I can power it in the car. What I'm thinking of doing is mounting the port replicator/docking station in the boot so I can move the laptop in and out of the car and running a USB hub upto the glove box. Then hook up a 7" touch screen, load all my MP3's on it and setup a sat nav unit. I have been searching around on the net and found a few SatNav packages for laptops, but would like to know if anyone here has experience with or a brand they use/recommend?? Of course I would like it to be quick, accurate and of course upto scratch with the likes of the TomTom packages that everyone here seems to rate highly! Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Neil

Mate....absolutely gutted for you!! These people seem to be going to any lengths....I pulled up at this petrol station near my house the other day, about 1am, it was shut but I need some cash from the ATM! Started thinking about Scarface's unfortunate experience and decided to drive off and wait till the morning!! My Lex was a demo model when I bought it and as such had a tracker fitted as part of the demo goodies....my membership ran out recently, it only costs 90quid a year so I think i will renew it right away!! And yes trackers do lower your insurance! Hope you get everything sorted soon Ally!! Best of luck mate!!
