  1. Fantastic Dave!!!! You truly are the bargin man!! Next is defo the side skirts!!
  2. Damn good match....I was cheering the blues all the way!! The rest of my family are gooners...and their constant gloating pi$$es me off!! So it gave me great pleasure to cheer chelsea on!!! I could believe myself when I jumped up and celebrated the 2nd chelsea goal....it's like I was cheering on England!!! 3 titles into 1....couldn't be sweeter!!!!!!!
  3. Good job matey...it looks class!! I see that the IAT sensor is up near the throttle body rather than down near the filter, as I discribed...but either way, good work man!!
  4. I did it without taking the centre consol out...it is possible and might save you a bit of hassle!!
  5. looks like I won't be getting a Lexus then when the day of replacement comes for my IS!!! Hope that they pull something better out the bag!
  6. Chris...nope...can't say I have, might be worth a try...must be a drunk Friday night though!! No ....have you
  7. I'll send Paul (Fargo) round....he's great at ripping your interior apart! :P Seriously, it should just lift out...might need a bit of extra encouragement, push it backwards and lift it up so it comes out of the catches! Also make sure that you remove the plugs for ciggy lighter, ash tray light, etc!
  8. Apparently the car cleaning guy knows a thing or two about modifying cars too!! :P Although the engine wasn't on best form, I thought what we saw was good....best views of the car yet, you can still hear the turbo's hissing and I got a good clip of the rear pipes rumbling!
  9. hmmmm ...not sure about that, cant see how that would be benefical, more to how it might cause problems!!...I would suggest that you leave the ECU to work things out based on the real conditions at any given time! P.S....Also guys, once everything has been installed, good idea to reset the ECU as per Colins instructions in the Knowledge base. Oh and if you don't already, get some Optimax in your tank!!
  10. Oi...read my post above! :P If you dirve around without it pluged into the new induction kit as I described, nothing will happen, you just won't get the best out of the kit! It helps the ECU to compensate better for the difference in air flow.
  11. Yeah, it should be for the air flow sensor that plugged into the standard air box, front right hand corner. It's the little plastic pyrimid thing with a small round ball on the top that you pulled out the standard air box. Sorry for my pants discription. :P On your new induction pipe, there should be a hole on the side near the filter end. The air flow sensor needs to be extended to there and pluged into the side of the new induction pipe. Basically, cut it so you have enough to strip back the wires on both ends, solder the extension bit in the middle making sure that you connect the correct coloured wires together. Best to also use some heat shrink to cover the cut wires and soldering...you can pick this up from the big 'H'. Also, cover the whole length of the wire in black tape...just to make it a bit safer! Plug it in and thats it...job done...don't be affraid, it's really quiet easy!!
  12. Really.... ...around which areas?? Did you do that from inside or did you get under the car?
  13. Ok bought my B&M Quickshift from TDI on Saturday, fitted it in about 20 minutes....just wondered if any one here was getting a slight noise from their's....I'd liken the noise to hissing you get on an un-tuned radio station. It's only very slight, i'm guessing it's the wind as the car moves so the insulation might need checking, as Mark suggested....I just wondered if anyone came across the same thing?? Otherwise, I'm well chuffed....love the shorter sharper shift!! Ta - Neil
  14. Duncan has changed the mesh on his front bumper! B)
  15. On Saturday around 1pm I saw a Purple GS with a private plate and green Team Lexus sticker in the front window. I was on North Street in Carshalton.....just returning back from filming the monster! B)
  16. Come on boys and girls!! This is would even bring an N/A car to life!! About 6bhp on it's own, but combined with a good exhaust and induction kit your looking at about 15-20bhp and an increase in tourque...that will make a tidy improvement to the N/A IS's....plus if you plan to get a supercharger in the future, it can be remapped to improve the performance from the charger...can't go wrong really!! Also the people that get this chip could try talking a tuning company into a group buy rolling road set up!!
  17. Mat...Mark washed the monster, so I made sure it was captured on video!! Who said TDI was all about just modding cars!! Very impressive though I must say, some fantastic work has gone into it!!! Also I must apologise for Pete and his lack of IT skills :P ...knew I should have taken my camera!!! Oh and apologies in advance for my running commentry on the video!
  18. Yep I agree with Mat again....I had EBC's on the front before replacing them with DBA's....I know others on here speak differently, but in my experience, I wouldn't go back to EBC's...they warped too easy and they were quiet noisy when the windows were down...you also got a little ticking noise which could be heard if you were driving close to a wall or parked cars! Fargo (Paul) and a couple of others feel the same about EBC's for the Lex!
  19. Ian, I agree with Mat's comments.....however, if i'm thinking in the same way you are, your after a bit of style and looks too! Ive got the DBA dics front and rear, they look very nice and are a great replacment! You can run the stock pads on them, but I would suggest some EBC green stuff's or similar on the fronts to reduce the brake dust! Speak to Mark at TDI, I'm sure he can sort something out for you!
