  1. really like it. nice and subtle. definately makes the backend look a lot more symaterical and german prestige, rather than the awful enermous jap style backboxes most people go for.
  2. i absolutely adore those headlights! i need some of those, just in the same boat as you, dont want to open up my standard lights incase i manage to make a mess of it.
  3. no need to upgrade the shocks, waste of money, only difference is that the lowered springs will make your standard shocks wear quicker. if your going to buy both shocks and springs you might as well save a bit more and go for coilovers.
  4. let us know how you get on with those noel! they sound like just what is needed to sort the front tyre wear issue on lowered cars. does anyone know if anything similar is needed for the camber/toe on the rear?
  5. silver or black. anything else is chav imo
  6. had a good look at this at the weekend and its defiantely got some play in it, so must be the hinge pins, also thinking that the latch could do with moving up or replacing as its been bent down from the door opening unevenly.
  7. thanks chaps, the door doesnt close flush, i can see when i shut the door and look in the mirror that uts not lining through. i think jack300 suggestion is correct, i have already tried to loosen the door hinges off, but they use a special type of bolt head that i have never seen before? i think possibly the hinges may need replacing
  8. have checked the rubber, think its ok, i think the hinges have actually dropped?
  9. anyone know how to fix this? my IS is on high miles and the drivers door lets a bit of wind noise through.
  10. how much did you pay for them? have been quoted £700 of a company on ebay?
  11. what brand are d2's? and would you reccommend them? i'm guessing by this post they can go planty low? (sorry i'm a newbie to lexus)
  12. out of intrest what coils are you running to get the car that low?
  13. a company called element motorsport in the states sell them, i want some too, they also sell camber adjusters for the rear too
  14. 61mm front...........53mm rear that based on sport or SE figures? As I know my SE is 15mm higer than a sport?
  15. just got my copy, very good guide. well worth the price, or if everyone asks i might scan my copy in and post it up
  16. thanks for the guide! was just wondering the other day if i could fit coilovers myself but it looks like its going to be fairly easy (easier than my last car anyway, everything was rusted solid)
  17. what size/width/offset/tyres are they Wozza? I think this site could really do with a wheel/tyre/stance guide where everyone posts pics up of their cars and says what sizes and specs wheels/tyres their running, would really help imo. i had a golf gti before this and their was one on edition38 and it really helped. i really like my is200 but all the mods are so expensive! stuff like facelift headlights are really expensive, decent coils £1k+, such a limited choice of wheels due to the offset. i know why not many people mod them now, should have stuck with my golf gti!
  18. I thought they might stick past the arches, I still struggle to get my head around the offset/width thing. there's sweet FA nice wheels available for IS200's for sensible money, they have such a high offset, everything is either 2k+ from Japan, or budget fake drift look rubbish. I'm thinking about selling up and getting a BM would be much easier and cheaper to modify.
  19. seen a set i like in 18x8.5 et35, will these stick out past the arches? and what size tyre will i need?
  20. can i not just add camber shims to the rear to sort that out?
  21. i'm guessing these et's are based on a minimum so they dont foul the struts, anyone have any idea what the maximum et you can so they dont stick out past the wheel arches?
  22. 1999, 142,000 from a good few previous owners, however i intend to keep it a while
  23. how low do the tein coilovers go? seems like a decent price you can pick them up for compared to other brands around
  24. off the shelf airbag kit for an IS available here, works out failry cheap too http://www.airbagit.com/?gclid=CO7Wk6aQsZMCFQ9pQgodmm-Inw however have heard mixed reports from people that have used them.
  25. i ordered the new CD Rom for my 99 IS200 off Lexus map updates, what the have sent me is the 4 disc DVD version, which obviously doesnt work. Has this happended to anyone else where you've recieved the wrong disk? My other option of course is to put the 4 DVD Europe set on ebay, and order again, am i right in thinking that the 4 disc DVD set is worth more than the 100euro i paid for my CD update?
