    The problem with the IS200 as I found out whilst trying to install my ICE is the maze of systems and computers, and that everything is integrated together and is a nightmare to work with. Surely an LPG conversion would be a better way to get good economy from it.

    sorry what i mean was that it wont pick up that the ipod is connected, i think the headunit wont recognise the adaptor? what i thought happened was that you connected it up, and pressed the cd button twice so that it would see "cd1" eg the external cd changer?

    it charges the ipod ok when its connected, but i cant make the headunit see "cd2" as the setup guide suggests. i have contacted grom and thye just reffered me to their FAQ page :duh: have tried everything they have suggested, but headunit is not picking up that the adaptor is present at all. any suggestions of what could be wrong?

    $2000 plus shipping, plus import tax for the HKS , think I might go KW. Has anyone got any pics of how low Teins go? I dont think 50/60 is low enough for what I need.

    Hmm - Where can i buy TTE's from? I've never really seen anywhere selling them before. Tein dont go low enough for what I want, and KW (although awesome I have heard) are a bit expensive.

    i cycle to work most days, only 8 miles, so taks around 45 minutes, takes 30 minutes in the car so not too bad. i'm also on the bike to wrok scheme and my employer says that they will just give me the bike at the end of hire purchase, so works it very well.

    Soon I will be attempting to split and tint my standard headlights (99 IS200 SE) and was wondering if there was a way to remove the orange coloured indicator tint and replace with a flashin orange bulb in the style of newer cars? I aplogise if this has already been covered, done a search but couldnt find anything.

    Any body ever used them before? They cost around £650 - Seem like a good price considering they include the aftermarket top mounts. Just wondering about quality and comfort, and the total lowness that can be achieved?

    i was in the same boat looking for wheels for my lexus, the offset is a major pain, but i've finally found some i like in the correct offset and a nice staggered fit too. i'm not going to tell anyone what they are because i've never seen them on a japanese car before

    other option for the headunit is to keep it and use a Rockford Fosgate 360 proccessor box, which you can tune off a PDA or windows based mobile. its a serious piece of kit and allows you to use the standard headunit (so looks nice and neat) and work around the stock sat nav. one being installed in mine as we speak. where also doing full Audio Systems ICE install, mid, mid bass and tweet in front doors, two 12's in the boot in an infinite baffle enclosure and amp hidden under the rear shelf.

    mine is the cd based system in a 99 is200, a lot more user friendly than any of the cheap portbale sytems, it might not do post codes but the update disc allows yoy to search by street name and house number (what more do you need? postcodes could cover a large area afterall) and is lot more complete than the early disc en terms of the amount of street names. purchase from the site above, think it works out about £80 but well worth it.

    The wiper blade sizes on ebay seller xenos.biz don't seem right to me. They are selling wipers for the IS200 with the drivers side 21" and the passengers 22". I thought one of the blades was a 19" ? they sent me the correct size, one is 21" and one is 19" there a really nice looking good qulaity wiper from zenons.biz, and price wise its pennies tbh, less than you'd pay for normal set from halfrauds

    for the wipers i'd really reccommend upgrading to aero (bmw) style wipers, look cooler and work so much better. have a look on ebay for seller xenons.biz you get 2 sets for £14 i think.

    thanks mate, thinking about it that seems right as the black pillars dont look black on an astral black is200, they blend in, so probably is the correct colour

    alrite chaps, have recently ordered some wheels and i want to get them painted exactly the same shade of black as the door pillars/tops of door on my plat ice IS200. Does anyonme know what the paint code is for this? thanks
