  1. be careful because the ecu in the car is a tough one to make it all work with auto start and you have to disable the engine immobilize witch is why the one i got is still in the box and going into the girlfriends car...... the only way to get the engine to start it to have a key button unit programed up and taped behind the barrel..... forget the engine start and just get a normal one like guard or better still fit one that lexus approves. most of the systems these alarms need to do a engine remote start are multi driven... ie the are all sent down the same wires
  2. as it says..... have you got one thats just sitting there. need your help. pm me if you can help...... i dont need it just a copy of the manifold plate on paper with all the holes etc so i can get a plate made up for my turbo manifold..... it needs to be a 1-1 scale and have all the correct holes etc laid out so i can get on made up..... jay
  3. well we have been here before, first you asked what was the biggest size and then after a lot of advice you still are not sure. so here you go i have a set of 18" with 225/40/18 on right now. i have lowered the car 35mm with tte springs and have 18x8.5 on all round. i run 5mm spacers on the back so they sit out a bit but there is plenty of room. i run 20" in the summer. 20x8.5 with no problems and have 225/30/20 on there. so you said in the first post you wanted a wide look for your car and that's why i said run 225 on the back to give it a bit of width and 215 on the front so they are not so hard on you and the steering. so to answer the question no you wont have to roll the arches unless you are going to sink it like the titanic......low low low. and if your not sure then just stick with originals 215s all round. i work with tires and can tell you what sizes you can go.... have a little web page that works out the sizes you can run from the size of the original size tires so i guess there is your answer.. check with others about rolling arches and i think you will find that there are not to many that have had to do it...
  4. out of that list i would go hankook for price.... great tires, i have them and the girlfriend has them and all the bosses at work have them and only ever seen one come back with a fault in 2 years of working in a big tire shop in sweden...( toyota) so save a bit more money and get something better that budget
  5. you can have some of my bulbs when they get here. i got some inverted bulbs and did the ac in half an hour with a soldering iron. but these bulbs are not the bright blue that i needed for then. i got these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-Car-Blue-LED-Da...=item518e8e3dc4 and then took out the blue plastic thing and had the bulb and resistors and just removed the bulb from the ac unit and soldered them in..... looks way better ( bright) also did the clock and the heated seats the same way. got the bulbs to do the electric window switches and the rear heated seats switches. but if you want some i can send you a few when i done.. not sure how they are going to look. thought i would give them a go.... beats soldering everything
  6. t3 ?you mean the center light unit in the roof or the small ones.... called the grain of wheat bulbs. if so i have just ordered 50 for 5 pounds from ebay and the center light ones can also be got from ebay but pm me if you need some blue grain of wheat ones as i will have a few left over http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50-x-3mm-Blue-12V-80...=item5d270c5aa7
  7. there are a few m style mirrors on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/99-05-Lexus-IS200-El...=item587e54b1c4 or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/99-05-Lexus-IS200-El...=item1c0a7291f4 like the last ones myself but have instead gone with installing blinker units to my oem ones as i have the unit to fold them in when i lock the car.
  8. i have a web site here in Sweden that does a make up of the is with a large choice of wheels to choose from http://www.specialfalgar.se/f%C3%A4lgar/f%...lgprovaren.aspx just copy paste the link in to your browser and then click start then in the first box click down to Lexus the next box choose is200 then click visa there is a lexus is200 next you can choose color and if it's lowered click ( sankning ) then click through the wheels and see what you like and there is the size to choose from
  9. i got 20" on there and found after lowering the car it has a softer ride the original have a look at the bottom of the page if you want to see 20" http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=63805
  10. yer ran them last year as summer tires and now run them as winter tires with 225/40/18 but if your going with 17" the 225's just on the back and as original 215 on the front i think that's better to have 215's front
  11. yes i like that. did you paint up the insides the same as you do the lights... heat prof paint after a bit of sanding?
  12. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...l%3Den%26sa%3DG if you look at the blue Subaru near the bottom he is running 245's so this will give you an idea of what they look like but the wheels are 8.5 and i think original lexus are 7 or 7.5.... so go with 225 if you have lexus rims
  13. i believe you can get 245/40-17 on there without problems but you might want them just on the back and 40 is the profile.... height of the tire and 215 is the width so 245 is wide for the back and 225 for the front is right.. i think this is what you need here you can see what i have on mine...... down the bottom of the page is my 18" winter tires 225/40/18 and my summer tires are 225/30/20 all fits without rubbing http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...c=63666&hl=

  21. your better going for the hankook. i run 235/30/20 k107 and they are i my mind the best tire out there..... great in the rain, great grip and not bad price..... take the k110 or the k105. the new audi r8 runs on them as do fords so they are not that bad
  22. i have the amp bypass cable if you want it..... got 2 but found no amp......
