I'm putting my winter tyres back on in a few weeks. No need to change cars put on a set of winter tyres and your car will handle better than a 4x4. Sounds too good to be true, watch this, My LEXUS GS!, my car on sheet ice with winters, I got stuck nowhere last year!!! There are still people who consider all other options before going for the obvious.

I am keen on the GS but the new IS as you described sounds great! It may well be worth waiting for.

My commute is 2 miles. I sometimes cycle but more often I drive which is so lazy..........

I know people have sad it looks similar to 'insert car' but I think it looks great. BMW have toned down their new 5 series enough for it to become quite bland and forgettable and the Mercedes E class is a, well, it's a box. Lexus have almost sculptured this, I think it looks great. If it looks this good in photo's I imagine it will look pretty special in the metal! Expect lots of standard kit and apparently the driving experience is excellent. This could be a winner.

I was told by a Lexus chap that the UK will be getting a cheaper GS250 and a GS450.

I wonder if the creaking dash is sorted in this model.

It's growing on me every time I look at it. Perhaps in a decent colour and some alloys, it could be ok. Will the UK get AWD?

Its not too exciting is it. It reminds me of a Vauxhall Insignia from the side. I'm slightly underwhelmed by this, of course it could look better in the metal. I think the rear is a bit fussy, I think that is down to the lower rear reflectors, does a car need them? Apparently it drives very well.

Sounds like a scary experience! If I see traffic build up in front while I'm using cruise I just turn the cruise off, I don't brake unless an emergency. Not sure at all what your problem was but I doubt that you hit the clutch, sounds a bit odd.

What the .... is this advice? Back on topic. Do you need the tints? You could remove them and have the lovely glass back to OE and cleaning would be much simpler!

I guess that this just affects LS models then. When I updated the discs in 2009 for my 05 GS I was able to input new routes on the move to my hearts content. No further ideas from me unless someone on here has an early LS460 who has recently bought discs and can answer this question for you>

The OP has an LS 460 so I'm assuming it's a newish car, 2006 on. The disks should update the unit to enable changing the route whilst on the move.

Hello. Buy the latest satnav disc from Lexus. Since around 2009 the discs include an update to allow using the satnav whilst on the move.

You boot is working correctly. On the fob it will open, you will need to use your limbs to pull it open fully. Closing is as you described. It will close itself, like soft closing doors in a way.
