  1. Sadly I would agree. There is loads more discipline on the motorways in Europe, that's for sure! Negligible around local roads however. Whilst I did display a UK sticker, I like to think I drove to the local etiquette - plenty of German cars overtaking me driving faster at times too.
  2. Well, wow. What a weekend that was! Never done a driving holiday before always wanted to and boy am I glad I did. Wont be the last for sure. Will try share pics of the highlights but really great weekend. The Autobhans are great fun and uber safe! In fact, I found all drivers in EU very disciplined making for an enjoyable and safe journey at all times. As some of you may know its hard to get a full run flat out for top speed owing to traffic (important to respect other road users who are not driving their nuts off) and roadworks etc, but found a nice empty stretch on the last day and topped out at 271kph / 169mph before lifting off for a car that had pulled out way ahead. I am sure if I got up at 5am and went out on quieter roads she would have gone to 180mph for sure. Top speed aside, these cars (RCF) are incredible machines. 6/7hrs driving for 4 days straight with some very high speed sprints a lot of the time. Not one complaint or noise or sign of overheating. Loved it. Did cost me £550 in fuel however hahahaha, but well worth the money. Neck and neck with my friends RS3 which is stage 2 tuned. He had the edge off the line but once we were over 120mph I always pulled away 😉 Anyone wants any pointers DM me. I will come back shortly with pics and a diary for each day.
  3. Oke doke. As I said I made arrangements for my daughter but that was based on an 11am arrival - are we still ok for that?
  4. Must be a typo, Sunday is def 25th. Come along matey, be good to see you! @B1RMAlooking at the site map does that mean we will be plonked right in the middle of a Ford show hahaha?
  5. Should we advertise a little more widely? This thread has dragged on a little so a public post or fresh notice type post might attract more members?
  6. Sounds good, pencil me in. Just need to make arrangements with my daughter and Dad (who lives nearby). We should pin a post on Facebook group perhaps, like we did for the Hamps meet?
  7. If anyone can tell if it goes to a breaker pls let me know
  8. If it’s not too soon to say, I’d love to get my hands on the wheels
  9. I'll buy mine today. Could you post a link to the correct page, paranoid Ill end up somewhere else entirely lol.
  10. That’s a real shame, sorry for you buddy. What was the damage if you don’t mind me asking?
  11. Good luck buddy, you will not be disappointed. You need to get better gaskets as the ones provided fail very quickly. I took lots of advice from fellow owners in the US. As soon as im back home from my road trip (Monday) I’ll send you links of what to get. Will provide longevity and prevent leaks and CELs.
  12. £75 off with this eBay seller (not connected to me at all) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325461754517?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=gUk3Xg9bRIG&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=KnwGFylsR_a&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  13. Very good and looks nice against the snowy landscape. Have you had the window trims darkened? Or are they that colour as standard on the facelift? They come chrome on most other models I have seen and I wondered rather than having it wrapped, could I buy some facelift replacements...
  14. Yes I believe the Quicksilvers are made to order brand new. Only thing to be aware of with the Invidia is stock. It's American made and I waited 5 months for mine to ship. Try a few suppliers in the UK so that they take the brunt of the import etc - you might even find someone with one on the shelf already 🙂
  15. I have indeed had both on my car - having kept the Invidia. Quicksilver was a good "louder than OEM" sound and is better than OEM for sure. It did drone a low revs up hills and certain speeds on the motorway. I can't describe the feeling very well by typing on here, but I felt I had compromised the Lexus quality by adding this exhaust. That's no reflection of the product itself which is very well made, just a feeling I had as an owner driving it around. I wasn't a fan of the carbon tips - some would prefer them which is fine, they do look the part if you are looking for a more aggressive overall look, but they didnt suit the back of my car in blue. So as I wanted to keep the OEM look on the rear I went for Invidia as it is also Cat Back for the price of the Quicksilver axle back. Never regretted my decision. The Invidia is just as aftermarket as the Quicksilver of course it is, BUT, it does not feel like it and honestly came away from the garage feeling like it had always been fitted from factory. It's quiet in the low revs but with added V8 burble which the OEM misses and it kicks ***** and turns heads when you put your foot down! I have had many compare the sound to an Aston and I tend to agree. I have experience zero drone, zero. If you give me a couple of mins I will upload a drive away vid which a friend of mine took of the Invidia.
  16. RCF/GSF axle backs are very similar but wont fit without modification. Tailpipes would need extending and hangers relocated.
  17. Looking good mate. I’m thinking to match GSF colour when my diamond cut gives up the ghost.
