  7. Okay cool I am leaning towards the second setup, but with a Crossfire amp The VR142: Bridgeable 2 channel amplifier, 35Wx2RMS, 140W Max., Switchable 6dB boost at 45Hz, Variable Highpass/Lowpass Crossover from 50 to500Hz, Input sensitivity selector switch, MOSFET power supply, Nickel plated connectors, 5 way protection circuit, 2 ohm stable 9.3"W x 2.1"H x 8.5"L Would this be enough to power the Kicker 12" amp which is 400 W/RMS, 800 W/Peak. Or should i go one step up? TIA
  8. Hi, that seems to be the consensus regarding the Kicker subs, but I am now looking at a suitable amp. 2ch vs mono, and what brand? Also, how important are the cables used in the system? Should I go for brand name like Stinger, or just generic cabling? TIA
  9. Hello all. Basically I am looking to add some nice clean bass to the stock system of my IS300 by adding an amp and sub combo. I have asked around at a few shops and here are two systems which have been recommended to me: Recommended setup no. 1: AMP: Rockford Fosgate Punch 601S - 2CH 600W SUB: Rockford Fosgate RFP4812 12" - 150 watts RMS/300 watts peak. Recommended setup no. 2: AMP: Blaupunkt GTA2200 2 x 200 watts / 1 x 600 watts SUB: Kicker 12" Comp VR sub CVR12 Which one do you think is better, or are there any changes which you would recommend? BTW - I am after SQ, but I want to be able to feel the bass as well. The sub will be in a sealed enclosure too. The rest of the system will be kept completely stock Many thanks
  10. Try the is300.net store www.is300.net
  11. Hello, I was wondering if anyone in the club has one of these performance meters? If so, let me know, as I have a few questions regarding installation Thanks
  12. You could probably just use a high pressure air blast to clean it
  13. This is the Altezza Chrome Grill:
  14. Thanks, yes they are the stock wheels I was surprised it would make so much difference too I have a review of them here at the NZ LOC: http://nz.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...t=ST&f=2&t=138&
  15. Found this on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2424797569 HID ballasts and auto leveller
  16. Have a read of this: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ST&f=19&t=5602&
  17. Try Langka, the Blob Eliminator. Basically, you put your Lexus paint on there and let it dry. It forms an unsightly blob. Then, you rub some Langka on there and it smoothes the blob away so it leaves an even finish. Apparently it does not affect cured paint, only the new touch up paint I have just ordered some, but have not used it yet
  18. Do you have any pics of your car before and after the springs were installed? Would be good to see the visual difference
  19. Check your car manual, its in the back, under bulb replacement along with wattage, etc
  20. I modified the images slightly so you can see the difference more clearly:
  21. I have read that when installing springs, the ABS line can be overstretched causing the ABS light to stay on. I cant remeber how to fix this, but be aware of this Also on the is300 there is a lever which is needed for the headlights which can be incorrectlty positioned. Just make sure no warning lights are on, and there are no scratches on your wheels Oh, and on the way home listen carefuly for noises which may indicate the springs are not seated properly PS, could you post some before and after pics, because i am planning on getting the ribachs too, and wanted to see how noticeable the drop is
  22. Heres a clip of the HKS Hiper i came across today This clip came from is300.net http://finch.digital-noise.net/media/rin.mov
