  1. Maybe lexus should revise the 100k interval ? ← Possibly but the belt will last 100k if it isn't allowed to move. Hopefully Lexus dealers are checking the belt condition earlier because they should be aware of this problem.
  2. You need three wires or the extension will not ring out, yours work cos you wired them all. You can use 2 wires if you're stuck but you need a master socket on the extension with a ring cap. ← If you have DSL and are using filters on each of the sockets then you can get away with only two wires because the filters have a ring capacitor built-in. In fact the DSL signal will be improved if the RING wire is disconnected.
  3. you are not meant to adjust the idle speed. The ECU should take care of it. Sometimes you need to let it idle for a period of time for it to adjust. If it doesn't then there is another problem like a dirty MAF sensor, throttle body or idle control valve.
  4. Have a look at this thread, half way down Guy has posted the procedures: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...hl=error++codes
  5. It's not difficult to be better than BMI! You will always find somebody who doesn't like an airline. A friend of mine recently flew with Air France and would never fly them again.
  6. 75k is fine. Just check ball joints etc. for wear as they can go from 60k upwards. Cambelt is due @ 100k miles.
  7. Same as me. We mainly flew Business Class, got down graded a few times but also upgraded to 1st class :)
  8. Maybe part of the fuel usage on the Turbo is due to air/fuel ratios being set up correctly with an ECU rather that the standard Toyota run it rich settings?
  9. 5W-30 is fine all year round in this country. It's the only grade that should be used in the Prius and probably RX400h due to it's fuel savings over thicker oil
  10. Oh I see, I thought that 9gig was a double sided disc... ← Double layer discs allow 9GB of data. Very rare to get a double sided disc but they can hold 18GB if they are also double layer.
  11. Have you tried opening the front window a little at the same time?
  12. I've read that too but many cars come out of the factory with Mobil 1 in them.
  13. one day I will get around to trying the nav unit in a non-nav RX300. As the screen and wiring are already there is should be possible.
  14. I've heard nothing but bad reports on the P-Zeros on the GS. You may think the grip levels are good until you try something better. The fact that they wheelspin easily shows the grip level isn't all that.
  15. Does the BMW nav cover the whole of Europe? That's why the Lexus discs are expensive. The older CD version discs are around £140. If you buy a used disc then make sure it will work in your nav unit. There are two or three different versions of DVD Nav unit and they use different discs. Check the part numbers written on your disc, a new one should have similar numbers just slightly higher. If the part numbers don't match up the disc will not work.
  16. Yes it has ! Does anybody have a part number for the master cylinder assembly? I have found the makers (Aisin Seiki= ASCO) and my company has an account with them !! They have a reverse search feature so you can search for their part number with the Lexus number http://www.be.aisin-europe.com/am/uk/selec...user=&password= If anyone has the part number it may save me a few bob, and I hope the above link may be of some use to others ← AISIN won't normally sell a Toyota specific part outside of the Toyota network.
  17. Idle speed of 750 rpm, is that when cold or hot? If hot then that is correct.
