  1. I'd probably be looking for £220 plus the OEM exhaust.
  2. Aah right yes I've seen those new F-Sport ones, they have been out for a while in America, but only came here for 2012 I think? Do you know if the F-Sport front spoilers are available seperately? And if they fit pre-facelift models? It's the wider front bumper and boot spoiler I really want, the side skirts can come later. Did the bumpers change at all for the facelift models? i.e. would the F-Sport spoilers fit a pre-2009 car?
  3. Personally I'd prefer the velour seats, thanks for clearing up what they actually are on the Sport by the way. As I wear jeans a lot, the little metal poppers etc. on the back pockets would ruin the leather. Is the GFX the same bodykit as the one on the SR then? I'm not in a mad rush so I'll just keep searching untiil I find one in the right spec :) What kit do you have on yours by the way? The front bumper looks awesome!
  4. I may be looking at swapping my IS200 for an IS250 in the not too distant future. But I need some advice on model specs, in particular interior trim. I'm not keen on the SE-L as I don't like the cream leather or wood trim, and I'm not that fussed about having built in sat nav. I really like the look of the SR with it's additional exterior styling, it is however a shame that none of them seem to have been bought with the 18" wheel upgrade. But my main problem with the SR is that from what I can see in pictures, it only comes in fabric seat trim and they are manually adjusted? This isn't a deal breaker for me as I'm the only person that drives my car, so once the seat is in position it stays there. But do you also lose stuff like the heating a cooling features on the seats too? And does the SR have sport suspension too, or is it only the Sport that has that? The Sport seems to have the best all round spec with the half leather seats and sport suspension. But then you lose the exterior styling of the SR which is the biggest selling point for me on the new IS range. What would be really useful is one of those model spec cross referencing charts, but from 2009 when the SR was still available to buy new so I can compare directly. Advice and opinions please...
  5. Interesting question, I've not actually looked inside one with a screen so it's good to know that. I'm still undecided on which spec to go for, I really like the exterior styling on the SR, but it doesn't even have half leather seats, just plain fabric, and I'm not even sure they are electric!? But I'd rather get the SR and swap the seats, as that will be cheaper than adding the bodykit to one without it I think.
  6. I'm after a Sport exhaust for my IS200, the one with the stainless steel tip. I'll also need the midpipe with the silencer in it too. I would be willing to swap my Greddy Ti-C for these parts plus some cash if anyone wants to do a deal?
  7. Basically I'm looking at upgrading my IS200 Sport to an IS250, the SR trim in particular has really caught my eye with the factory bodykit. Having the MM pack would be nice too but I'd get more pleasure from it looking nice on the outside than having a built in sat nav. I was just wondering if there are any threads on here which give a guide on what to look for with IS250s? Stuff like what mileage are the big services at, how long is a clutch expected to last. Things to check for knocking or squeaks on a test drive? etc. If there's isn't any one source of information, feel free to just stick any tips or advice you have on here :) It would be nice to know what equipment you would have chosen to have if you could 'start again' and buy a different spec'd model to the one you own. As I spent a lot of time and money adding the TTE and TRD bodyparts to my car, when really it would have been much cheaper and easier to spend a bit more when I bought the car and save myself the hassle. So any tips on which models are the best ones to go for would be appreciated too.
  8. Thank you very much, the horrible memory of the agonising cramp lessens more with each pound received :)
  9. Bump, need to get as much as possible before the end of the week so even if you can only spare a couple of quid it all adds up :)
  10. Thanks for the support, any amount is appreciated. :) If you think about it...the highest amount ever raised by Children in Need so far is £24 million. With over 60 million people in the UK, if everyone donated just 50p each we could beat that easily!
  11. Basically last night I participated in an event called 'Race Against Hunger' for the charity Save the Children. It's all being done to coincide with the Children in Need campaign, and all money goes to kids in the UK who are going hungry every day, maybe because they are homeless, maybe because their parents can't afford to pay the rent and put food on the table, point is it all goes to a good cause. Our challenge was to complete the 26 mile marathon distance as a team of 10 people, in a continuous relay doing 200m each time. But to complete it within the time of the current marathon world record! It may not sound a lot, but bear in mind that I would normally only do 2 or 3 200m runs during a competition day, totalling 600 metres. But last night I ran 2.6 miles in under 2 hours for this event! I then spent until 3am stood up and unable to sit down from agonising cramp in both legs :( And just to put things into perspective...5 teams started the event, 1 didn't finish, and only 3 were within the marathon time. (we were one of the ones within the time) Anyway to wrap things up, my reason for this post is that I was unsure I would be able to make the event due to work so I didn't want to take any money before I knew I could make it. But I took half the day off so I could get there on time. So now I've done it, it would be nice if I could raise a bit of money for the charity :) So I would be very grateful if you guys could help me raise some money so I have something to donate to the charity I ran for. Any donation is appreciated whether it be 50p, £5 or £50, it's entirely up to you. Here is the link to my Just Giving page... http://www.justgiving.com/DavidGain Remember to tick the box for Gift Aid and Mr Cameron will add some money to your donation for free :) Also feel free to add your forum names into the comment box if you want me to know who you are, or if you want to remain anonymous thats fine too.
  12. Couple of packages arrived today :) First up was my Clifford 507M Tilt/Vibration Sensor... And also my electronic exhaust control valve... It's much chunkier that I expected, and comes with a pair of gaskets and some nice thick stainless flanges to weld onto your pipes after you chop out a section for the ECV, including the flanges it weighs 1.2kg! And here's a video I took when I tested it earlier... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bua1w2f0y08
  13. I've actually got a tube of tigerseal, but I was doing it on my own and to use tigerseal you have to be able to keep the two surfaces pressed together until it fully cures. And I just didn't have enough time or spare hands for that. lol I've decided to do a few smaller jobs for now, so I've just bought myself an electronic exhaust control valve so I can make the car a bit quieter for 'normal' driving, and then open it up for tunnel runs or if I just want to make a bit of noise :) I'll get my local powerflow to shorten the midpipe to allow for the thickness of the ECV, but I'll also get them to shorten it a bit more just so the tip doesn't stick out quite as much, as the Greddy Ti-C I've got is designed for the deeper USDM bumpers. Here's a video of what I've bought... http://vimeo.com/2242560
  14. I think they mean spigots, not sprockets. lol The centre bore (round bit in the middle of the hub) has an outside diameter of 60.1 on the IS200. The spigot rings just goes inside the centre of the wheel to reduce it to the correct size if they are aftermarket. However I would expect all OEM Toyota/Lexus wheels to have the correct centre bore already.
  15. I discovered that despite my best efforts with the 3M tape, the back end of my TRD skirts has come away from the body... So I had a little workshop session and made myself some 'Ormi Clips' named as such because he did a little DIY when he made his. First thing was to cut the correct shape out of some 3mm Aluminium out of the scrap bin... I then marked and drilled a 6.5mm hole in each one... Leaving me with these... I then realised that the inside surface behind the arch lip isn't actually flat, so I put a fold in each one so it still sits flat where the screws go through... And my nice shiny clips ready to be fitted... I haven't put them on yet, but once they are on they should hold the skirts nice and flush like this...
  16. They would indeed probably be the first part to touch a curb if I got close even with rim protectors on the tyres, but I just love the wheels...
  17. I really want a set of these wheels, and I have been looking for ages. Finally found a set on eBay, so I waited until 1 minute to go with my bid ready, and then my computer crashed! So I missed out by £25! So if anyone knows of a set for sale that would be great.
  18. Just bought these, which should help me out with my next mod which I'll be purchasing soon...
  19. Ooh yes sorry, that was the whole point of my post...lol http://www.ebay.de/itm/271091132737?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&clk_rvr_id=405474688125
  20. There's a guy from the Euro LOC who's selling a tuning chip for his IS220D because he wrote the car off. Completely plug and play with proper Lexus connectors fitted. Boosts hp from 177 to 212 and torque from 400 to 470nm. Cost about 600 euros new, but currently at a bid of 56 euros on eBay. Just thought there might be someone on here who's interested that wouldn't normally have seen an item like this on the german eBay :)
  21. Aah right thanks for the heads up :) I had a quick look on eBay and they are £300+ from the US! Couldn't believe how much they were. lol I said I'd keep my eye out for any that pop up in breakers yards etc.
  22. Got a guy on the Euro-LOC asking if I can help him find a wooden steering wheel for his GS300 S16 (I presume S16 is a chassis code that denotes what period of time his model was produced?) Apparently they didn't sell many GS models during it's time because back then everyone bought the German equivalents. So well spec'd ones are few and far between. Anyway, I figure if I help him out then it means other members might be more forthcoming in providing help with my supercharger project.
  23. The housing are all the same so they will definitely fit in the bumper. But you need to check the wiring though, as the earlier ones used an HB4 or HB3 I think like the ones used in the headlights. Whereas the later spec foglights 2003+ used an H3 bulb with a different plug.
  24. The biggest difference is from the sound, you get a nice grumble from the engine above 3.5K rpm with a panel filter. Other than that it doesn't really change anything, maybe better MPG, but you would probably see a similar gain in MPG from just putting in a clean OEM one. I have a K&N panel filter which seems to be regarded as the best one for the IS200.
  25. I've got one of those magnetic sump plugs too. Can't hurt to have a bit of extra filtration, although I'll be interested to see if there's anything on it when I do my next oil change. And I not finding a leak is good and bad news, because if it's not leaking it must be burning it.
