  1. Protection pack will probably consist of rubber mats for the interior and a rubber cargo liner and mud flaps I think.
  2. Even if its slightly different itll look miles apart. The whole rim is white on the edges :/ Looks even worse because all the others are intact!
  3. Haha my brother in law has a new Q7. Its been to the shop 3 times with a sunroof leak and because of that, it fried the MMI. Turned out to be an expensive fix. He had an R8 in Daytona Grey, beautiful car when its working but the gearbox failed. Again, expensive fix.
  4. 11GY39 is not a paint code right? ISF and all the F Sport models have the same colour wheels and ive kerbed mine doing a full turn with a sandwich in one hand
  5. As far as Im aware the SE does not have the function of power folding mirrors when locking/unlocking. The higher spec models do however so it can be retro fitted. As for the fog lights, again, probably can be done but the Lexus lot wont do it. They dont like putting aftermarket things on their vehicles, especially since you are leasing the car.
  6. 450h hands down. I test drove a 400h but it wasnt as nice to drive as the RX300 or 350 of the same shape. Hence never bought one and waited for the 450h. Its better in every respect and you will NOT regret it.
  7. Sounds like you used the Lexus website to build a vehicle but didn't wait the required 5 mins. between selecting each option for the price to update :( You are missing the £2k Nav cost. £31k base, £1.4k for leather, a further £900 to power/heat/cool the seats, £610 for some paint and £2k for a Sat Nav. I used autoebid actually. And no £33905 was NOT the discounted price. Actually I just realised, isnt navigation free atm?
  8. Im not to sure I agree on your comment about the pricing. Firstly, are you sure it was £37k for a Luxury? No matter how hard I try, the maximum price I can get on the IS300h Luxury with Navigation, full leather, the optional 8 way powered/heated seats and metallic paint is £33,905. Another point is, that you're comparing an IS250 to an IS300h which has a £3k premium on the IS250 Luxury which would come in at £32,900. That's before any discounts are applied.
  9. There is a trick to these options though. Just keep pestering the dealer, eventually theyll give in and give you a discount or throw it in for free. On my RX450h, I got a £3.8k discount with Mark Levinson thrown in and the rubber cargo mat. It took about 3 weeks of negotiations but its worth it in the end and this was also in the first year of the facelifted RX production. To be fair to Lexus, the Germans also charge ridiculous prices for sat nav too :/
  10. I am fairly sure that the tyres in the states are different to ours. The mileage claims are just too large. I reckon I've done well doing 40k on my bridgestones and that is largely motorway. The us talk about doing 70-80k on a set.... Tyres are exactly the same. Pirelli scorpion verde all season are made in Britain and they get exported out whereas Michelin are made over there and get imported in. No difference in tyres but obviously you have to be skeptical of the mileage claims. Other than that the tyres are very good. Michelin's are very quiet, had them on the last RX. Never had pirelli scorpion verde all season though but it gets good reviews and if im not mistake, is oem on Range Rover Evoque's and the new RR Sport, probably because theyre made in britain tbh Curious as to where you get your information as I have heard the opposite, most US tyres are made in the states or made for that market. Note hey arent milage claims they are milage guarantees. Most Goodyear are circa 90k and Michelin 65k. I consider myself good on tyres but count myself fortunate if I can get 50k out of a set. 40 is my norm. American roads are if anything worse than ours so I just dont see it. See tyrerack etc for more info,,,,, Because on the US site TIRERACK, the Pirelli's say MADE IN BRITAIN on them and over here in the UK, the Michelin Latitudes say MADE IN USA

  12. Thats actually a very good point. Thieves usually get number plates of common vehicles like the BMW 3 series so they can switch the plates quickly. The RX is relatively rare so its unlikely.
  13. They arent much use mate. These guys go around with handheld dremmels and cut an indent into the screws and screw them off like that. Happened twice on my dads car WITH anti theft screws. Got the whole thing on cctv apart from his face
  14. Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season have got very good reviews and a guy on Clublexus is rocking them on his 450h. He says the handling is much better and the tyres are much more grippy compared to the dunlops he had but they are slightly harder riding, im guessing due to the load rating of 105. Clublexus is also full of Michelin latitude tour hp. All the american vehicles are swapped out for the michelins from dunlop as they are more comfortable and very very quiet. I dont think you can go wrong with either tyre to be honest.
  15. my 450h does not do this. It may be only affecting the 400h's
  16. Yorkshire near Leeds, its probably too far for him. Ill see what the dealer says when I go down. Theyre doing one wheel free of charge as they messed it up the first time.
  17. I wouldnt say you need an interior detail. Just find a good valeter. They should get the inside done properly and itll only cost about £30
  18. I think the main issue on these cars is carbon build up so definitely look out for that. Also, a 2010 may have corroded alloy wheels so look out for that. If you like the car but it has corroded wheels, make sure you account for that. Itll cost a MAXIMUM of £400 for all 4 wheels doing. And of course, the reviews keep saying the ride is harsh and the engine is too slow but obviously thats down to you to decide. I personally think it is more than adequate and is a great, smooth car. Best place to buy is obviously the dealer as you get the warranty!
  19. Kerbed my wheel all the way around the other day :/ oops. Tyre wont need to come off, its just the edge. And how much did you get this wheel cover for? It looks like it will be a good option to buy it.
  20. Yup, was talking on the phone via car speakers, wasnt paying attention and tried to do a full turn with a sandwich in one hand. Kerbed the wheel all the way around. Hope they can fix it Oops that's not good mate good thing is, 20k service coming up in 2k miles so will have it sorted. cba going now since my dealer is 30 miles away. bloody f sport alloys are going to be difficult to match as well colour wise :/

  22. Have you got no arms lol Yes I do funnily enough, but they wont exactly fit between the spokes! Lol Talking about spokes, nasty gash on the alloy wheel today!
  23. Have you got no arms lol Yes I do funnily enough, but they wont exactly fit between the spokes!
