  1. My father's range rover would never unlock if near the doors at his local Morrison's and he wasn't alone with that problem. I can't park my Mk3 near the doors at aldi without the alarm going off every time someone goes in or out of the store entrance.
  2. Damn I just caught myself perusing auto trader looking at L200's lol. Oh well if I ever win the lottery..... If you don't mind us asking, how much will the conversion cost?
  3. Actually the Is200 wheels on wheeler dealers won't fit Mk3 or Mk4 due to the size of the calipers. However I have no idea if '56 is220 alloys would clear the calipers. The one on wheeler dealers was a mk2 if memory serves and again if memory serves the calipers are different on the Mk1 & 2's but I'm happy to be corrected. I'm only going from experience having bought genuine Lexus alloys that would fit Mk1 & 2's but not clear my calipers on my Mk3. Hence my suggestion of a test fit if at all possible. Its a shame as I really liked some of the is200 & gs300 alloys.
  4. I tried different wheels on my Mk3 and discovered that although stud patterns were the same not many would clear the big brake calipers. If you are able to do a test fit before purchase I would strongly advise that you do to avoid having to sell them on. Fingers crossed for you.
  5. Well it appears my ngk iridiums were all supplied with a .80 mm gap so no adjustments were made today as this is the gap recommended by the LPG guys on different LPG forums. Although I've not solved my rough running, it does highlight that you should atleast check the gaps on your plugs incase they are incorrect or not all the same. Right I'm off to shout at the LPG installer. Steve, as you may realise I keep getting delayed coming over for one reason or another so would you like me to send a deposit via paypal so you know I'm serious? Cheers Pete
  6. Its no coincidence these engines are transplanted into alsorts of vehicles as they are sublime pieces of quality engineering. All the little bits and bobs of maintenance jobs will be a breeze for you to do whilst the engine is free of a vehicle. I'm really looking forward to watching your progress, please keep us updated.
  7. Yes it would make a significant difference as LPG needs a healthy spark. Information I got was that the plugs were gapped at .80 already but I might have been lead up the garden path. Looks like I will have to pay the garage more money to check the gaps as I no longer have the correct tools for removal of plugs since some kind git broke into my shed and pinched my tool box!
  8. Damn! 1.1mm. I wonder if that's what's wrong with my gas install. I'm sure I read somewhere they need to be gapped at .75 or .80mm! I'm sure I read they were pre gapped at .80mm. Now I'm confuzzed !!
  9. I know how you feel, I'm still keeping an eye out for some dhp centre caps. I need to measure the holes more accurately as there has been different sizes mentioned on the forums.
  10. Thanks for that Mike, that's very kind of you. However I'm about 160 miles from peterborough so its not practical at present. If I remember rightly I heard that worsley auto gas are a good firm so I should get my but over to see them. My problem is that I feel I shouldn't let the guy who did the install off the hook whilst I incur even more expense that I really can't afford. I will give him one last chance, then its complaint time if its not fixed.

  12. Finally got coils changed over and............................ Ofcouse it hasn't made any difference! Back to the LPG place again. Have to say I'm getting a bit fed up and disheartened with this damn saga, and I expect you lot are sick of it too lol. I might just see how much injectors cost and change them myself!
  13. ......and of course after using Steve's advice, attach something to where the cord should be ;-)
  14. I got mine from fleabay. Think I paid a couple of quid for 4.
  15. Looks like I've been lucky all these years then. I shall reflect on my good luck. Thanks for the info.
  16. Lmao. I love double standards hehe. I have so much fun reading through as many threads as I can. Makes I chuckle :-)
  17. mmm...my favourite, it's not just the Lexus that has lots of horsepower. Japanese technology especially from Lexus never fails to amaze me, even in 1994 when my LS400 was built they had the option to increase the cars horsepower and hence performance with the simple flick of a switch! Brilliant
  18. Hmm interesting comment bearing in mind posts elsewhere. On another note, this delamination is new to me, is it really that common? Genuine question no sarcasm intended just thinking a second hand one might be worth the risk if its not common. I will keep my eye on this thread for the purposes of educating myself further.
