I've had nightbreakers, Philips xtreme and am currently using the ring versions and was pleased with them all. You might be thinking why so many? Well I drive mainly at night so I get through more bulbs than normal. They also don't seem to last like the basic ones but that could just be me. As they are brighter, buying two sets at the same time might be useful should one blow. Well worth the money in my night drivers opinion. -
Sounds like a plan. I don't know much about hydrogen peroxide, is it dangerous ie does anyone know what precautions need taking. I will obviously Google it but I really do believe the advice from this forum is second to none. Thanks Steve for all your help and advice recently its very much appreciated. Cheers Pete.

That's exactly where mines leaking too. Not happy to hear about problems with the bolt as I was going to tackle this job in a couple of weeks! What a shame. Tell me more about the hydrogen peroxide trick Steve please.

If anyone is interested there is an app that works on android not sure about iphone, called Fuel log that does a good job of keeping records and calculating mpg.

Welcome and Merry Christmas. You got your pressie a few days early and trust me there is no better gift :-) Enjoy. Pete Ps I got my ht leads and iridium plugs from euro car parts at a reasonable price. They may be slightly cheaper online but sometimes its good to be able to take something back in person if faulty. Having said that, I've not had a duff part from them so far.

My alarm played up a lot when my old battery was failing even though the car was behaving itself. New battery seems to have done the trick. I'm not saying it is the battery, but worth checking how old yours is if you haven't already.

Did you spray all the belt or just the bit that comes out of the slot last and doesn't touch the passenger/driver? Sorry if its a strange question but I have paying passengers so can't risk ruining their clothes. Cheers Pete.

It will be something daft but I'm sure somewhere out there on 'tinterweb some will know. By the way 17 round town is about what I get on gas so I suspect yours is about right. It obviously jumps up when I get some long runs.

Damn fine question for all the reasons you give. However as the council are the ones who can deny me a badge they have to be obeyed. Trust me, this issue along with many others are pretty much what we have to grin and bear through gritted teeth! To put it bluntly, they have us by the short and curlies and they know it......... Don't get me started..... Ooppps too late.
