  1. It sounds lovely, bet it really opens up the v8 :) What did you say to the guys at MIJ when chosing your silencers/sound/set-up? I will be getting mine fitted soon
  2. That looks and sounds good! More pics and another video would be great. With your car being a V8, it sounds lovely :) I am thinking about a custom for my GS300, but not sure on the type of sound I want to go for.. Is yours quiet whilst plodding along as on the revs it sounds a little loud
  3. Thanks a lot for your reply, really appreicate it :) Do you think the kit on ebay looks good/similar to yours except the filter? I want to free up the straight 6 a bit..want to hear her a bit more
  4. How does this sound Vasilis in regards to engine/induction noise? - also do you see fuel drop in having this in place? I've seen a similar kit on ebay. I currently have a K&N panel filter in place, but want to experience the sound/feel of a performance cone filter. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2e9fc079e0
  5. I run Michelin Pilot Sport 3's. They are the best tyres I've owned. Not too noisey on the road, perform well both in the wet and dry. They are quite expensive, but have great ratings over the internet.
  6. As mentioned, do these: oil, oil filter, spark plugs, HT leads (piece of mind), air filter perhaps k&n panel filter, reset ecu (you've done that). Clean your MAF sensor (improves vastly), this is covered quite broadly on the forum. If you struggle to find it PM me.
  7. Hi Rick I was behind the H/U today having a quick look at the wires. Can you please confirm I have the corrent aerial wires. Thanks
  8. Thanks Rick for your reply I will give them a blast. I didn't want to go connecting the black as I always associate black as earth. As you've said about, I will trial all 3 to a power source and see what happens :)
  9. Thanks Steve So I connect my blue remote wire to the Red and Black. Or is it a mixed coloured wire with red and black shades? Also these wires are on the stock stereo loom are they?
  10. Afternoon guys Which wire/wires do I need for my aerial to go up and down with my aftermarket Pioneer headunit? Do I just need my blue remote wire (12v) to control another wire to the aerial? Any help is appreicated
  11. A bit of an old post, but how did you feed the cables under the carpet? Thanks, Addz
  12. Thank you very much Steve for your reply. There is no engine management light on. I will do a search to see if I can get diagnostic codes (guessing it's a paper clip test similar to other toyotas). Where would I find the EGR valve? I last done the service in December on xmas day. Is there any way of getting to the oil filter for the VVTI system Help is much appreciated :)
  13. Evening guys I have a GS300 MK2 with 95K on it. Only recently I've noticed its not as responsive as it used to be. Only the other day my brother and I were on our way to London, and whilst on the motorway he kicked it down to overtake - the car was holding back and the power was bogging (being restrictive). Now I have done the ECU resetting last year November time, it learnt my driving technique. I performed the ECU reset today, and to my dismay the car feels so crap it's unreal. It's almost everytime I put my foot on the accelerator, it chokes and then the revs go up. The only way I can describe it is as power loss, power bogging. Even when revving the car stationary it takes a a second or two to respond, and when it does it very reluctant to rev. This power loss has been gradual and seems to have got worse. Any feedback will be highly appreciated
  14. Yup, you can ditch the amp altogether and just unplug all connectors on it. Depending how you do it, You can run new cables across the top of the glove box and just connect them into the "speaker feed" connections on the disconnected plug at the amp. The other way is to connect your new head unit speaker outputs into the factory harness that used to plug into the old head unit (that heas off to the amp), and then bridge the in and out connectors at the amp to "bypass" the amp. Either way will work fine. When you talk about the in and out connectors, are you talking about the speaker in and out? Thanks
  15. Rick, you are a very knowledgeable member, thank you kindly for your help :) Can I totally ditch the standard amplifier seeing as I won't be needing it? I think I will just tap into the speaker wires from the amplifier, and remove power sourse that goes to amp
  16. Thank you kindly Rick. Quick question. I have bought a pioneer DVD headunit. When I plug in the ISO (cable) to the car, will I only lose the built in amplified subwoofer, or will I lose door speakers sound totally too?
  17. Hi Rick, thanks for the reply. It is a pipe closer to the alternator. This image is looking up from the bottom. It's not the expansion tank over flow pipe as you've mentioned. This one is connected to/off/from the water pump itself
