  1. Set seats on high with heating at floor (full blast) - simples!!!
  2. Thanks again Paul for your latest post. Common guys at 'LexusOwnersClub', what about that 'thank you button'! Regards, Mark.
  3. I must admit, that is one beautiful vehicle. If you get board with it, just give me a call, as I am on the look out for the perfect LS!
  4. Over the past year on our drive to Belfast, my wife and I always look out for the unusual and beautiful on the automobile front. We have noticed quite a few Maserati's, the rare Bentley (no well paid footballers in area), with a few veteran Lexus's around to lighten the mix. No matter how expensive the vehicle may be, what for me is apparent, is how the pride of the owner reflects on the beauty of their chosen vehicle. A beautiful vehicle always brings a smile to my face.
  5. Couldn't believe my eyes, when after nearly nine months of ownership, I finally recognised an image in front of me. After speeding up, to confirm this sight, I observed a beautiful blue 02 SC430 in front of me (driven by a lady of course). Couldn't resist using my hazard lights when passing this vehicle to note this rare occurrence. Glad to see these cars are actually used on the road, instead of parked on a forecourt or driveway.
  6. Love those centre caps - mine look awful, and either need refurbished or replaced. Any information of a supplier to the UK? Also the bags! Tried to order through the dealer, but only supplies to the USA. Any 'friends' who could assist delivery to UK? Any Information gratefully received.
  7. On washing my car last night (in-between the showers of course), I considered why after seven months of ownership, the only other SC430's I have seen, have been in a Lexus dealer, while the other in a driveway in the beautiful village of Groomsport, County Down. Must be the reason why most of these cars have such low mileage - too many owners just don't drive these machines!
  8. Have one myself, but if it's like fire extinguishers I wouldn't worry too much. Just get a good breakdown cover, and if you get a flat give the 'company' a call to bring you to a tyre repair centre. Might be better that filling your tyre with that gunk!
  9. Do these machines actually deliver a good shine? If so I would buy one in the morning - let me know! Personally I currently treat my car with a hand wash and wax whenever I can. Funny enough, although I hate when it rains, when it does, it helps to show when the next wax and polish is due. Keep on reviewing guys!
  10. Upon recommendation of another member, I have just upgraded my sat-nav discs for my 2005 SC (had original discs). You should note that if you can supply a valid vat number, you will be provided with a 'commercial' invoice, which is free of VAT. Worth checking out, as this brings the cost to under £99.00, which is good value for a full set of original discs!
  11. I was also looking at the satnav site, but considering the cost from Lexus, have now opt for their original disc. Much obliged for the info, hopefully new discs will keep me on the straight and narrow.
  12. I am only an aspiring RX owner, but still wish to acquire this keyring. Tried to order one online without success, any suggestions how to obtain one? Thanks, Mark
  13. First of all, welcome DB. So which Lexus converted you?
  14. Congratulations 'Gillburts' and welcome to the forum . (By the way, I am quite jealous, but don't tell anyone!).
  15. Black and Ivory must be the best colour combination (mental note - should have opted for black!). As I'm looking to update our satnav, would be obliged if you could update us where you got yours - Lexus, aftermarket, and the cost please. As an afternote, the hood on our 'SC' during May was never up - pity the summer ended!
  16. Thank's Steve you for your useful post. (memo to self - should read forum more often!)
  17. Or perhaps the wife's keeping him on 'retention' until he sells the car!!!!
  18. The current speed limit was introduced back in 1965, when drivers were not only limited by their skill but also by their vehicles. Although I don't advocate 'speeding', I do believe an increase in the speed limit is long overdue. So although drivers may not have progressed as we may have wished, vehicles on the other hand have evolved to a much higher level! So should a motorway not have a higher speed limit?
  19. First of all, nice to see you on the forum, and I hope you enjoy the experience! Personally, I find the Lexus the most enjoyable vehicle I've owned to date - wish more vehicles were like the Lexus! Whatever you do, enjoy your vehicle and whatever you do, update us to your experiences, desires and travels with your new 'love of life'.
  20. Well, did you ever clay your car? Feedback much appreciated!
  21. My wife looked at me as if I was mad when i said I was going to 'clay the car'. The result was unbelievable, as after the wash, clay, wax, wax and then wax, the shine and smoothness of the paintwork was unbelievable! Whatever you do - clay that vehicle and enjoy the results!
  22. What about a 'thank you' button for members? Personally when I read certain posts I become frustrated (don't say it .......), when I find that I cannot thank the poster for his/her useful contribution. Although this system is frequently used by 'other forums' to enhance member loyalty and retention, it is also useful for fellow members to support their fellow posters in helping to ensure their subsequent posts. For example, a 'thank you' button can assist in many things including:- posters obtaining useful feedback; website retaining posters (some of whom may wish to climb the 'reputation' scale); higher traffic to site and therefore higher advertising revenue! This is just a quick thought on a late Thursday evening, but I'm sure you know where I'm coming from! So what do you think?
  23. Sorry to see your selling your car! Hope it works out for you both.
  24. The following is my confession, which I hope my wife will forgive me for.......... Over the past three months I have have had a certain relationship with a lady whom I have found quite addictive! Her beauty, fine lines, grace and racy nature always gets my pulse racing (memo - make appointment with Doctor). After spending some time with her last Sunday, I discovered that even I can lavish too much attention. As after washing, drying and polishing her, I discovered that my back finally gave out! Serves me right for thinking I was a younger man! So today (Saturday), after a week long of being chauffeured by my dutiful wife (in a Saab of all vehicles ), I was finally able to get into and enjoy the ride that my of my other half delivers. Oh how I missed this lady, whom I will never take for granted again! So if I was to ask, who is / would be your perfect mistress?
  25. Whatever you do, enjoy the car to its fulfilment! If not, just pass the car to me, and I will let you know how it performs!
