  1. Did you replace it with the same screen? I am wondering if it's possible to replace the LCD screen with a more responsive touch screen.
  2. I got the dealership to do it for me. It never occurred to me as something I could do myself. I should have done it myself. I would have probably done a better job in the sense that I would have more time to play with it.
  3. Mine was the same but is a lot better after some padding. It's not perfect yet. Needs more padding. I think mine are centered. They are bright in Park and dim out elegantly when in Drive. I noticed this very recently. :) I am sorry that you've had some problems with your car and am surprised that Lexus haven't treated you better. Lexus dealers are supposed to be very good in terms of customer service. I did not buy my car from Lexus so can't comment on the after sales service aspect of it. I have however been in on numerous occasions to the dealerships. First I went to Lexus Reading for my 60K service and dash rattles ($$). The customer service was acceptable but not the fairy tales I had been reading on this forum. I've been to Lexus Croydon on two occasions too and couldn't help but notice how they pampered me even though I was in for very small jobs. I guess it varies from dealer to dealer.
  4. The US headlight has slightly different functionality. It has two side markers per headlight. This reflector that we speak of has a LED bulb at its base in the US and it's more of DRL (always on) as Rich OB said. It is barely noticeable though. See if you can spot it in the following video at about 4:10-4:20 mark There is a whole thread on the US CL forum where people have got clear markers instead of amber ones and replaced the orange led with a blue one. The results were still pretty disappointing because the LED is pretty low power.
  5. Has anybody actually sat down with a Techstream loaded computer and tried the customization options? This has always made me wonder. I think there is a lot of stuff that can be customized.
  6. Glad it worked. You may find it coming back. Sounds like a software issue to me.
  7. Lepsons is famous for quality wheel refurbishments. They are based in Kent. You can ring them and ask them if they have a trade agent in Essex. There is a good chance they will. http://www.lepsons.com/
  8. It's a bug in iOS 6. There is conflicting information regarding what can fix it. I suggest you google the keywords 'ios6 no sound' and start trying all the different kind of things to fix it. If you have an Apple store nearby you can always take your phone in and talk to the 'Apple Genius' about it.
  9. Haha yh I mean this is probably the maximum satisfaction I think owners of cars with big engines can get in the UK. You are certainly not going anywhere with the congested roads and points based license system.
  10. Come on guys.. Play nice.. I wonder if any of the ISF drivers on here would like to comment on how they drive their 5.0 litre cars. I've seen two to date. Both on motorways and both doing 60MPH to save fuel. What's that all about?
  11. Do you mind me asking how you removed the parcel shelf to access the sub-woofer? I can probably do a DIY guide on fixing a blown/rattling subwoofer once I get access to it.
  12. Typical Russia!! Keeping life exciting and short..
  13. I would recommend 17 if you are coming from 16's. 18's would be too big a change and you will definitely not like the harsh ride. Tyres are a major factor so if you want comfort you need to get something made from a soft compound.
  14. Fair enough. You made a good choice though. I think specs wise they started cutting down a little after the 09-10 MY so these are the best ones to get. Also have the bugs ironed out that the 05-07 models were full off.
  15. It's just that I consider that fairly standard knowledge for Lexus owners and was surprised it worried you.
  16. I've got a gut feeling that it's your amplifier. The ML amplifier has a feature which filters out any kind of static and background noise. Looks like this is not working as intended on your car.
  17. The ISF looks kind of tiny for a car with 4 doors and a 5 litre engine. The M5 has better road presence in my opinion. I hope the next gen ISF gets a longer wheelbase.
  18. About 2-3 months ago I searched high and low for an answer to this but eventually gave up. I hope somebody can help. Oh and for those of you wandering what it looks like: I personally think the stock 9005 halogen bulb looks a lot better than this led one.
  19. If the carpets are really wet, than I think something like compressed air or a leaf blower should be helpful.
