Hi All I am thinking of trading in my gs300 for a 2010 60 plate gs450 Could anyone tell me if these have Daylight running lamps and dab radio as in the photos it looks like one of the buttons on the radio says dab but was a bit blurred . Maybe someone could tell me if this is true And finaly is there anything i should watch out for Thanks Robert
  2. put your contacts onto an old android phone which copies them over in seconds then reregister your iphone all your contacts will be in phone book and conect to your iphone Its the simplest method believe me
  3. Thanks all for your good advice however ive had the local Exhaust centre seal the hole with some Metal foil well it looked like that said it would stick to pipe but wouldnt last forever of course. Light as not come on since so hoping what Colin said was a one off. Thanks again Robert

Hi all Another question I asked Lexus sheffield if they could drain and refill my transmission there answer was not really but we can drop the pan and refill as that is only way as there is no drain plug. Surely there must be a plug of some description i said cant you suck it out with one of those machines you can get,again the answer was no. are they right Thanks

  6. Hi all I got the Check VSC light on today along with the Skid Light and the Emmision light. I got garage to read code said P0158 High Voltage on O2 sensor Bank 2 Sensor2. He said O2 Sensor looks like its gone he Knocked it off and it has not returned as yet but the car still run right However it went into service at Lexus Sheffield about 2 month ago and they said there is a crack in the rear exhaust pipe at the Y junction i said cant you weld it he said no you need new rear boxes as they are one unit. I have noticed it is starting to blow a little now could this affect the o2 readings GS300 Gen 3 2006 82000 mls serviced every 12 mo

  9. Thanks for that Shane i have done what you said after a 45mile journey and rear brakes were just warm also did 32 mpg so i dont think its dragging on yet but i will still keep checking thanks for your advice much appreciated Robert
  10. I too have just had a Fixed price Fitment I took the gs to sheffield for Service and MOT they rang said Front shockers leaking so failed MOT. I then asked what it would cost the Price was 475 for both so in view of the suspoension to be took out i thought was fair price. He then went on to say that the rear brake caliper was seizing and said they could fit caliper 72 for calliper plus 40 to fit. said would be 30 min job i didnt have that done as he said it will be ok for a while it gave good reading on Brake M/c he remarked that we should be able to move calliper slide by hand and under Hydraulic pressure would be working ok so only advised on it But 72 pound for calliper im sure that must be a Recon unit What do you Gents think Robert

Simon It maybe that someone as reset TP to less than 25psi you can set the system to any pressure you want so if it loses 4 psi on the pressure that it is set it will put the light on you can tell if they are tpms valves as they are totaly different. .it will just think others are too high and not warn you Also if any of the batterys as failed it will still light up Blow them up to the Pressure you want then set the pressure with the button under dash wait till INITIAL comes on though Its in the book Robert

Right gents I put the multimeter on it this morning here are the results 12.6 before anthing done battery cold etc i then started it and was showing 14.4 put headlights on heated screen and fog lights it dropped to 13.9 this was all at tickover as i couldnt check by reving on my own but im sure those readings are ok it must have been one of those times was a little low as i recall i didnt go too far in the car that week and was stood 4 days prior The battery looks newish so maybe it had been changed prior to me getting it and as been serviced all its life at Lexus

Yes it can be topped up there is a Low Level mark and a High one and the level is smack in middle but i did notice after charging the window with the colors in was red but only faint which means needs topping up. I will get some distilled water today and bring level up to high mark Would that be ok ? Robert
  14. The battery is an origional exactly as in the hand book with the window in to check healh it was white which means charging required. I put on my charger and charger indicated half charged i left it on over night and light said Fully Charged but Blue light on Battery was still white I may take it and get it checked at an Auto Electritian today but i immediatly noticed Dash lights were brighter so maybe was just a bit run down it asnt had any long runs last couple of weeks .

  16. I have 2005 gs300 i was recenfly waiting for my wife to come out of the hairdressers i was sat in car approx 45 min. Eventualy the wife appeared I started car and it only just turned over and luckily it fired up I never would have thought that 45 mins of the radio would flaten the Battery. At its lasr service battery got a clean bill of health. As anybody else come across this or is it a new battery Thanks Robert

  18. I would suspect that if the tyre keeps going down and the TPMS responds its probably flattened the battery making light stop on
  19. Hi PgLex I think you may be right ive had no more problems with it since and i have tried to replicate it on several occasions and it as never done it since i think it may av been the pad moving slightly but all is good now Thank you all for taking time to answer Robert

John if you have had tyres fitted at Lexus and they loosing pressure take it back and get them to sort it,they will Im not sure of the Hybrid system but round town you should get good MPG Motoway you will be useing the full 3.5 engine so yu will use a bit of fuel im sure someone with the hybrid 450h will chime in and tell you the fuel figures you could probably get a tin of injector cleaner and put it in with yr petrol im sure you must have used it at sometime also just starting car and checking this and that will make it use more fuel Start again just drive it like you would like to drive it and see the end result after say a fortnight but dont forget it is a heavy car with a big engine and lots of electric goodies on if the battery is a bit down the altenator will be going full blast which is a fuel user also air con but in the final analysys if lexus as fitted tyres for you and loosing air they should put it right i run mine at 33 all round 450 will be different as regards to the transmission mine changes seamlessly i cant tell it changes unless i look at the rev counter good luck robert

Hi John I think you are reading too much into it my car runs superb i get 33 mpg on runs regualy granted mine is gs300 round town around 27 ive had the car 2 years now and apart from servicing costs cost me nothing i feel totaly happy about the realibilaty of the car and i feel a million dollars driving it All cars will sound a bit harsh if yu floor it As regards to the slowing down on hills thats the auto box doing its job not allowing the car to overrun it will feel like its holding the car back this is perfectly ok. and designed to do this Just put your paranoia on the back burner the cars are bullet proof regarding the tyres loosing pressure a tyre and wheel are what they,are same on all vehs go to the tyre specialist and get them to check them out but one point there is a way to take them of because of the TPS but they will know as they are now universal on all new cars the shuddering on the brake pedal is the abs pump bringing up the pressure just one further point the rear calipers due stick on sometimes especially if the braking as not been hard just enjoy the car granted if anything major does go wrong it can be expensive but they are ultra realiable robert
