/ Note to Rob373 here is fully loaded 61 plate 1 owner FLSH 50,000 mile SE-L just in at a place 45 minutes away for £15k which I definitely want to check out, but it won't be prepped until Tuesday, so I will go and look at another couple tomorrow and I would also like to test drive another CT200.// I went to see this veh yesterday they told me it would be available to view at 1 o'clock friday as it was in Prep I got there at 12 55 after driving from doncaster and was told was not ready yet would be another 15 min. anyay it arrived at 1 50 Shock horror there was dings in just about every panel the rear tyres were down to the wear indicators(sman Oh theres 2 0r 3 thou on them yet) rear discs were badly pitted ( sman Oh they are fine) front discs at least a 1/8 inch lip on disc also pitted ( s man Nothing wrong with them most heavy cars like that) then i looked in car the drvers seat was totaly in shreds ripped (sman oh we will get upholsterer to fit new centre panel in seat not a problem) he also said we will get panel man to see to the scratches and dents you have to expect this from lease cars) in conclusion it was the worst car i have ever seen why in gods name did they let anyone view it in this condition it looked like it had come from a breakers yard it definatley as been abused suffice to say i turned on my heel and walked away I thought i was seeing a one owner car he said as i walked away ring me tues and ill have new pics with the faults repaired oh yesssss Robert

no you cant you are stuck with the old clunky graphics some of the lads on the US forum have modified the display by getting a later radio unit but i think it will be quite involved

thanks for that gents another point how does the aircon/heating work if engine not running i am getting a bit giddy now i think i may go ahead but one thing its down south and im in yorkshire and a telecon with dealer said my car worth around 4.2k i thought ide get about 4.8 as it is very good condition but ill try and find one nearer robert

does the 450 not have a rev counter as i was looking at the pics on autotrader and it looked like it was measuring volts or watts or whatever saw nothing about rpm and are they quiet when the engine kicks in, as my gs300 is silky quiet TIA

Hi Been looking at a 2011 Gs450 se L looks quite tasty but it says the sat nav is HDD but no Mark Levinson is there much difference as i have also seen a 2010 SE L which has Marl Levison but is DVD based I know it must be for speed but my 55 reg GS300 is pretty nifty with the display but is old type graphics and mine is non ML Could any of you learned gentlemen explain the difference or have they gone away from ML Thanks Robert

mine did the same last year i asked if it could be welded and lexus advised against it however i took it to my local garage who welded it but it lasted about 3 month and was blowing again Maybe they didnt do it right I was talking to a friend of mine who had , had a stainless steel fitted at one of those exhaust fabricators but he wasnt impressed the charged him 450 he told me to have a drive in it but was appalled at the noise it made So i bit the bullet went to lexus Sheffield they charged me 500 and it is back to being quiet as a mouse Incidentley the blowing Exhaust on mine made the Check light come on that as never reappeared If you are keeping it for couple more years go OEM Just my Opinion

i got a set from lexus sheffield last year exchange set 240 for the set fitted i ordered them the rang me when they came in and took an hour to change them while i drank their coffee my old ones went away to be refurbished for someone else And the garanteed if the damaged a tpms sensor would be replace FOC

thats exactly what you have done the green rectangle is the parralell parking aid you need to press the options on the display in bottom left to get back to standard rear view cam you are in the Parking assisted mode wher it tells you were to turn the wheel

my Old Omega Elite had auto adjusted interior mirror ie Seats Outside Mirror amd interior mirror

got to say mine run perfectly in line even in the winds but did get a bit of wind noise but no wavering they are heavy cars even my gs300 holds the road well

Hi Carl Was just going to ask same Question as i have just bought a dash cam myself the reason i did was a fortnight ago i was going to rotherham and a Fiesta passed me with 4 asian males in but something didnt seem right. I drove on but the Fiesta slowed a couple of times then they braked suddenly there car skidded but mine stopped instantlly as i was aware that something was wrong, i think that brake system we have came on because ive never known it stop so quick. With that they just raced away and thought i bet that was a crash scam coming up. I was wondering tapping in to Cigar Lighter Robert

yes you maybe right as the system runs perfectly it was just that i have never ever seen any condensate under the car maybe others have but i do take your point about hot gearbox /exhaust etc But ill still get them to check on next service thanks for reply Robert

thats good news mate i have never seen condensate under my car and always thought mine was blocked but ive had no misting in car and carpets are not wet but i have got that doubt in my mind i may ask garage next service and print of your solution if that is ok thanks Robert

gently shove them down they are adjustable till you get right position

is your water pump ok i had this same problem with a ford many years ago

I must add that my rear Shelf creaked and could not resolve it but i found out it was not the shelf but the Headliner i found this out on the US site The poster said it was the headlining rubbing on some location pegs( i must say ive not took it down to look) and he sprayed Silicone spray on both sides with a small tube on the nozzle I did this myself and i have not had one sound from the rear since and that was at the begining of the year HTH Robert

you do have to press button for at least 5 seconds and the realese button under boot lid is also similar

I had this problem when i bought my Lexus the TC were on and this ended up having new Tyre ECU happily the vendor got it done before i paid up he wanted to knock 200 of and told me to take it to a local dealer to get it done but i said no and walked however he rang me and said he would get it done the cost was £550 and he asked me to go halfs with him but i refused however i bought the car I would demand to see the manager and if not tell them you are contacting Lexus UK i bet that will gee them up

Hi all Just noticed last few days on motorway there is wind noise coming in through windscreen as anybody else had this and is there a cure it seems to be coming just above centre vents i didnt have radio too loud maybe its been there and i have not noticed it I had better start turning volume up
