have you initilised it correctly press up and hold till it goes through its sequence tilt drop open close then let go of button mine lets air in with shade open its not too bad with shade closed i do believe the glass should be just a bit lower than the roof

Hi all Last few weeks ive been getting a bit of a whine getting into car I thought it was a wheel bearing but ive discovered its wind noise from the sun roof. My question is is the glass roof easy to get out and is there a aftermarket seal available as i suspect oem one will be arm and leg Thanks Robert

it is the shelf mine started yesterday in the bright sun went to B and Q parked up when moved off Squeak Squeak not sure how it can be resolved tried the black socks shoved in but to no avail it soon goes after temp in car comes down

yes it is mike no matter what you do you cant elliminate the clunky pixels i too am thinking of trading up as the screen does look dated like the old win 3.1 computer screen but the car is running that good i am loathe to change it better the devil you know robert

Hi What are the advantages of the vais mml unit over the cassette adapter and is it worth the cost to fit one would it port over the iphone screen as well as the audio I have the 2005 model with the low resolution screen I have thought of getting one but not too sure of the gain for the cost Robert

Wayne I would think that all is ok First when the fresh?recirc is in auto mode its for detecting exhaust fumes and bad air then it goes into recirc mode but will go back to fresh when it as cleared. The system is very smart and is pretty much trouble free, but do not under any circumstances open that filter cover with it in fresh or auto mode must be in recirc mde if not you will not even know you have broken it and dont let anyone change unless they know that. i know you have done it yourself but you have been very lucky for it to be still working but it is not broken if flap operates" Lucky man" Right wayne there is a procedure to check all the flaps etc that they are working and gives a errror code if not however if it is not strong sunlight you will get 2 error codes it is a while since i did it but i think its 21 and 24 sun sensor for both sides. With Ign off press and hold AUTO switch at same time (you have to manipulate your fingers) hold Fresh/Recirc button then press ign button twice but dont touch brake, panel will light up and the climate will go into check mode release both buttons then press fresh recirce button and it will go through 10 flap modes and air blowing modes and keep repeating till you press OFF then switch off and you are back to normal mode. Just on more point i dont have the 450 and dont have experience of hybrid, i would think if you are in hybrid mode surely engine not running, engine not running = cold heater i may be wrong buttttttttttttttttt................ someone may correct me regards Robert

i rechecked it looks like its for the mark 2 sorry but even with postage they cheaper from the states according to the ads but i still think you could get it reconditioned

Why dont you get a fitter to take it of it may just need a diode pack im sure an electritian could sort it Just an idea wont be no where near 600

very easy wayne the bulb holder is an ext you can see it stuck out just turn it ant clockwise to remove bit fiddly but easy enough i used can bus cant remember size got them of flea bay theres is about 12 leds on them 501 compatable hope that helps they look good as well

if it opens and shuts its not broke do a sigh of relief

just as a aside to this if you take out the shelf and shine a torch in to back of glovebox there is a slight gap and if you operate the recirc/fresh switch you will see the door open and close If you take of that door in Fresh mode you will almost certainly break the flimsy lever and you will not even know that you have broken it There must be 50% of Gs300 running with that lever broke and owners may not even Know But there is good news there is a repair kit for it around 25 pound bit fiddly to repair but is doable Hope yours is not broke

if you did it that way you have been extremely lucky that the lever asnt broke If you change it in outside mode you will not even know that you have broken the lever just that you will have no recirc mode Expensive repair

Yes Exactly when its warm i first noticed one Hot day and the car was parked at my daughters in sun and my did it creak
