  1. When I look those on eBay... ... and look at my custom internals once I had and they were made for over 600BHP, 550NM and 9000rpm.... ... then I would say that they would easily take a power what that engine will never be able to make ;) Good offer in my opinion... wondering why that guy is not offering a combo package (including pistons), he should know, when some IS200 would need those conrods, it would also want some pistons for lower CR (9:1)
  2. Oh do so, you will appreciate that! Just put some lube around the thread and let it work for 1-2 days before working on your coils it will help you to make everything easier. And don't save on lube go on with some extra load, the thread will suck it in. When they are loosen get the rings to lowest position, clean the whole thread and put some good grease on which can't get swashed away by water/salt and stuff. ;) Yes it was a bloody job and I was really afraid to destroy the ring, On the second coil I was hammering for 1,5hrs like an animal on some piece of concrete or something else. :shutit: But the material seems to be some extra strong forged aluminium, it was not SS. Well we have twisted the ring for about 4-5 turns in 1,5hrs now guess how :shutit: :tsktsk: it was?!? I had been worried about damaging the thread too, but then as soon it was loosen, we have seen it wasn't. As soon it was cleaned, the ring was easily running up and down, one small touch and it was running for itself for 2-3 turns :) Well now the bada$$ grease we have found there should prevent rusting and sticking together due to salt, sand and stuff.
  3. UPDATE OMG what a bada$$ job on the suspension..... :shutit: Servicing HKS Hipermax II coilovers Why and what for? About 5 years ago we have cleaned the coilovers pretty neat but didn't think about to put some grease on the thread OK that we look like The adjusting rings didn't even move 1mm with any wrench anything like that. This means REMOVE! Springcompressor plugged No twisting not nothing was possible, either the HKS-Tool or any big fat wrench was useless........ just a heavy hammer was the only way... :o Also heating was for the a$$ Last chance for the second coil was to use 2 hammers, a small one for resting on place the big one for the punch Erm.... well..... maybe somebody has got it with a shotgun... The edges had been heavily damaged so I had to recut them Removing salt, rust and dust But this time we were smart and put some steel cable grease on it, pretty indestructable sh!t but it does its job well Reinstallation.... Finish! ......after 5 hours
  4. 60k miles or km?? I know for IS200/IS300 as soon they have reached the 120K km mark, the timing belt should get changed. ;)
  5. Thanks for the reps mates :) Well yes the leather interior was pretty cool, but I prefered the cloth seats as well. (BTW I'm selling the grey leather interior with the door panels in same colored leather covering, maybe somebody is interested) I wanted to put the whole thread in here too, but I noticed that it wasn't possible to post threads with as much pictures as I have on My.IS, so I would have to split all the posts up into smaller pieces and I wasn't willing to do that. *gg* But all the updates I will be doing I am going to post here though. B) At the moment we have to do some changes, which we'll be doing next weekend: - remove rear HKS coilovers (screw ring is stuck due to salt and smut) - remove downpipe and wastegate, reconnect vacuum tubes (I think we have wrong connected the vacuum tubes to the wastegate and boost solenoid) (We have smelled exhaust gas coming up from downpipe, maybe there is some leak) - readjust muffler (it's hanging too low and is hitting the suspension in the rear) - we have to put some tube to the manifold that the engine can suck some air at idle (idle rpm is too low) - reconfigure AEM ECU and setup boost control
  6. I have offered and sold the whole "400BHP-package" (manifold, forged rods and pistons) to somebody who was continuing and realizing what I was planning to do.... ....that somebody is ADIE :D --> ;) That's why I'm so glad his ride is finally running! B)
  7. Thanks buddy to mention my job on the manifold after so long time again ;) Yes as Adie said, before I crashed my IS200T, I was planning to upgrade my GT28BB cast-iron-manifold turbo system into some 400BHP monster, so I bought some IS300 tubular manifold with downpipe and all the gaskets, I have sent an "AutoCAD" drawing via email to some machinery company with some CNC systems, they cutted the IS200 flange out of a 15mm stainless steel plate with their plasma cutter. It really was a bloody job to cut off the IS300 flange, cut.... turn.... and twist the pipes in their right position, weld them onto the new flange, grind the weldings and polish the whole manifold again, it took us around 3 days to make it perfect. But it seemed my eyes are working right, I have measured everything correct, when I saw the manifold was fitting once! :D
  8. Some small update: We have changed the wastegate spring (11PSI down to 5PSI) due to wintertime, much safer for slippy streets Boost I can set higher anyway with the BC function. Well so far, maybe you was missing some oilcatch-tank on the pictures, not any more.... ;) Light-Construction made of paperboard :P Of course we finished it out of some 3mm stainless-steel Paint-Job done and get in..... there is it, with its level meter :) And I have found some nice tubes for the vacuum connectors... :) And not to forget..... I have done something for traction: Lexus IS300 Rear Traction Rods & Lexus IS300 Rear Toe Control Arms
  9. Can we finally meet another at JAE this year to put 1G-GTE and 2JZ-GTE next to each other?!? :D
  10. Today I did some pictures in the bright forenoon-sun. (sorry for not washing the car --> freeze ) But it just should show the actual condition of my Lexus IS300 Turbo As soon I have done some body-works I will get it into a foto-shooting-session. ;) :)
  11. Hi mates, just want to present you my new turbo project. B) Well, to be serious it's already finished and I have put all the info into the "MyIS" Forum, because there I could put more pictures in one thread, which was not possible here, I would have to split up all the posts I have created. You can read the whole project here, all what I have done on it in the year 2008. Go here: My Project II Take some time and enjoy the thread! ;) Have fun.... Mike :)
  12. So glad to hear that buddy!! Can't wait for videos and dyno sheets
  13. I would just sell my whole engine, it's complete (71.000km). It's laying around, but in Austria. Mike
  14. Its now moved on again. Hopefully to be sorted at last. :shutit:
  15. Ah kick that V-Pro.... Adie, get some Haltech E6 and squeeze the best outa your ride, there are more dealers outside who can tune them, rather than the HKS one. AEM can't handle the IS200 coils (I heard at least) and it's more expensive
  16. Would be nice if Adie would give some comment, since that thread gets wasted more and more.....
  17. As far as I was informed, that Adie's car wasn't in TDI workshop, I thought he has put it into another garage?! And some "Tuning-Specialists" forgot to exchange the head bolts, that's why the engine blew up under a load of Power with 423BHP or sth. That's what I have heard..... ;) Please correct me if I'm wrong....
  18. Yes but after all that waiting just to sell it, Adie would be much more p***** off about everything, than he would enjoy it finally and go to dragstrips, JAE or something with his hot ride. I have sold him much of that stuff, to realize some awsome project, since I have messed up my IS200 before starting mod-jobs and kept in hope that he will get happy with all that. So after investing tons of money and stresses I wouldn't put it away like a crushed toy which got bitten into pieces by your house dog. :o I would have acted a bit quicker to change workshop to finalize my project, but maybe he had some guarantee cases or something like that.... Just my opinion... :shutit:
  19. I feel very sorry for you, that you won't enjoy the result then. But maybe I also would have lost interest and nerves in it, when watching a workshop ****** around on my car for almost a year and nothing happens. :shutit: Would have been one of the greatest IS200s in the world! ;) Mike
  20. But I'm wondering why Adie didn't kick a$$es get some money back, take the car to any other workshop in the UK and that's it. Or to rip out that F-CON and put some Haltech E6x or sth. in, it can manage everything you need for any powerfull IS200. ;) I wouldn't lwatch them that long f*cking around on my car almost a year, poor Adie I feel with you. Get the tool in your hand buddy!
  21. And what is their argument for taking that long for that little bit of mapping?? :shutit: In other words you should have come here and we do that together over 2-3 days. I don't have an idea why it takes so long and you had just to wait all the time for no results. Is there now any light at the end of that tunnel?
  22. Should be a peanut with a 6MBIT connection ;) video quality takes space :)
  23. Yes I was wondering, that the car keeps stable without any modification on suspension or something. It's pretty nice to drive. Surface was fine asphalt with some dusted soil on it, since this is a reloading place for beets.
  24. For daily use: Skoda Oktavia 2.0L TDI (new model) For Fun: Corvette C6 ZR1 B) ....if it shouldn't be a Lexus any more ;) (has anybody seen the video of the Corvette doing 0-280kmh just in 6th gear? :shutit: )
