Do we have to blank the numberplates??

Thank's mates for the great weekend over there in UK @ JAE Showground!! It was nice to meet old and new faces. :winky: Now I could compete JAE 2005 and JAE 2007 and the choice is not hard, that 2005 was better! More cars, more people, (I was there with a Lexus), and at all.... in 2005 THE WEATHER WAS NICE!!! Weather was pretty bad this time, instead of a few hours on SAT afternoon. But it seemed like an Amageddon on SAT evening, the whole showground was covered with water. So we decided to leave JAE a bit earlier. But anyway it was so good to meet people as Mat, aido, Dave, Bazza, Singh, the guy on the R6 (sorry forgot name again :shutit: ), and all the other and newcomers!! I felt a bit sad not to have come in an own Lexus, but JAE2008 is coming and I have a plan. B) I have pics and videos and I will post up pics soon and I will cut a Special-Video in about 2 weeks and will post it also here. Nice cars, nice tuning stuff, nice people...... that's what I like!!! And yes, although the bad weather it was worth to do 3.000km for this great event!! THANK YOU ALL BUDDIES!!! :)

*** D@mn! :tsktsk: The mate with the Sharan is ******* with me.... he canceled due to his job, told me about some troubles at work. But I don't know if this is true, I only know that he won't come and he is the guy with the car, and I don't have a ride. So the only chance is to get there is with my other friend's Audi A4 quattro. I don't know what to do now.... 1.430km is not funny with just 1 friend. My friend is all about coming up too as like me, but I'd prefer to come up in 2008 in my IS300 (maybe already turbocharged)..... but I really don't know, what I shall do now?!? You will get news from me, maybe I won't be able to come up, maybe we come up in the Audi.... you will hear about that, sorry for that mates, it's not my fault.... but we will see what happens....

OK that's fine thank you much. Redneck won't be able to come with us, but he ensured me to come up with us next year in convoi. So I will be ready to arrive in my IS300 M/T (maybe Turbo ) and Jens too in his awsome modified IS200 S/C in 2008. For this time I will be just a guest to look and watch....

Update from my side so far: We will come up in a VW Sharan, since my IS300 already got disloaded in Bremerhaven but is not ready to get picked up. So we will be just guests, but hope to be welcome though. We will take a part at the BBQ on SUN Morning. We will arrive on FRI night app. JENS (REDNECK) will also come with us MAYBE!! Mat, if possible type some PM to Jens if he decided to come or not, he is not sure at the moment. We will pay everything via cash at JAE. Do I really need to book the ferry? I'm asking because there is no time any more for money transfer. Is it possible just to get there, pay cash and get the next ferry to Dover? Be cause it's unsure when we will arrive up there due to traffic.

Don't know about IS300 injectors, but IS200 injectors are 155cc (pretty small). But be careful, the types of injectors in the IS200 and IS300 are not similar. IS200 has high-resistance, IS300 has low-resistance injects. ;)

Yes meeting was awsome.... and the ride in the GS300 TT was amazing!! That thing really gives you a punch in the back.... B) But soon..... Yes I was missing Andi very much , but was still thinking to him all the time!! ;) I will see when I can upload some videos. ;)

I did a 0-62mph and 1/4mile run in my IS200 Turbo in 2005. Street: normal road, slightly left turn Measuring Tool: G-Tech 0-62mph........ 7,15secs 1/4 mile......... 15,1secs Conditions hadn't been the best for dragracing....

I think I can't make it to JAE, as my vacation is not until August... :P JAE is in JULY!!!! :P So you have to COME!!! :D

Put the original ones to any bolt-specialist and tell him: "PLs reproduce those bolts, but made of extra quality steel" :winky: A better or harder steel should be able to take the extra power.

No mate the pistons were fine. :) After the trouble I had, the pistons are now ruined so I need new ones. The compression of these are going to be lowered further because of the difference in size of the (now fitted) head gasket to the thicker head gasket that was originally fitted. I was going to fit TDI's lower compression pistons but unfortunately we didn't know if the compression would be correct for what I wanted. Mark kindly offered to measure my old piston against theirs to see where we stood. But with time seriously against me to make it to JAE, I took the decision to get ones made up specifically for my spec as this is the quickest solution. I also know that they will be spot on for my needs So the pistons got damaged during the last blow up?? I thought they were just slightly scraped or something... Are you going to reproduce those pistons you got from me? They were made for 600BHP, 550NM and 9000rpm :shutit: But maybe it doesn't depend on internals to take that power, the engine itself should also take it. ;) So better to get down to 8,5:1 or something..... :)

Are you going to exchange the pistons or did I get something wrong?!? The pistons got designed for 9:1 CR.... so this was not enough? But any way so happy to hear about your project to be continued..... so glad for you buddy!!

You have had the patience of a Saint Adie. It will be a real shame to give up after all this, but it is understandable. I hope you may change your mind when it gets rebuilt properly and you have driven it, so that you can get some enjoyment from it after all the tribulations. I'm happy to give it a once over and check the mapping FOC for you when they have finished with it, if that helps at all :) @Adie Sorry buddy, but I must fully agree with the 2 mates! Don't do that..... don't throw it away just a second before fixing it. When it's running you will love it even more after all those troubles.

You're selling your ride now?? What a hurt.... I wish I would have seen it at JAE. But it's your choice.....

H B) LY SH!T buddy that's an awsome amount of power! I'm happy the internals can take that power! :P But so sorry another :tsktsk: :shutit: happened to your car. Maybe you shouldn't push it too far man. Set it to 380BHP or something and everything is OK. Or TDI can find a way to make it strong enough for +400BHP. B) Good luck buddy, you will fix that problem, but anyway good to see how much horses this T-LEX can kick out!! :winky:

As for transmission..... with its short gear ratio, Adie will see that 300-350BHP will be enough for eating other stronger cars for breakfast. :winky: I think 400 or more BHP won't be necessary, maybe set up the boostcontroller to reach 400BHP just at 5th-6th gear, otherwise wheelspin would be a serious problem with the short gear ratio. B) I had wheelspin until during 1st and 2nd gear with my suggested 260BHP, so 350BHP and its huge torque will let your tires smoke until 4th gear. Well, Adie will know what is to do, when the car running with its perfect setup. Let us know! :)
