  1. Yeah thanks, but are they really that bad on wet roads?
  2. Any experiences on those Toyo R888? http://www.toyo.co.uk/page.php?identity=r888 I heard they shouldn't be very good on wet streets....
  3. Do we have dyno results of 1G-GTE and 1JZ-GTE modified IS-Models? Performance would be interesting of those engines...
  4. Just awsome, I don't have other words at the moment. B) One question: Is this thing still in category of Cars, or did it change to Aircrafts? :shutit:
  5. Hi mates, as you know I received my IS300 about 1 month before. I had to let change mileage up due to toll-reasons. Mileage is freezed at 139.539miles but in reality it has sth. 51.000miles on it. Well, now I'd like to change it back to the 51k. So my question is, if you know a program for Laptop + OBD II connector to change mileage on dashboard? Or anything else?
  6. Still clocking up those miles. Its going slow as the idle really ****** me off. I drove it up to Liverpool (300 mile round trip) the other week and on the motorways and even through the built up areas it was driving excellently and really does pull when you put your foot down (still keeping under 5k revs). The main problem is when stuck in motorway traffic or any traffic that is stop start. As it seems to be over fuelling it bogs the car down when stop starting traffic and it just gets worse and worse. This causes the car to sart cutting out so you have to keep reving it. I was certainly getting loads of looks off people. Having said that its nearing the required running in miles. Then I can get the map and idle sorted. Then after having a play, I'll definately be putting it up for sale as I've got other plans. :) Why are you going to sell that awsome ride? Don't you like it, or isn't it running fine? How does it feel to drive, *** *** pulling? I'm really interested, because once I wanted to realize that on my IS200. :)
  7. Are there any news on this car, or is it definitely sold right now?
  8. Haha nice summary of your turbo-modification, just a few pics and not 30 pages to read :duh: Awsome ride anyway and still enough to adjust on that setup! And it's great that some pieces of my destroyed Lexus survived and have found another nice place. B) And this setup is more street-legal than mine...... at least for looking :D
  9. Thanks bud, yeah finally I got it, I have lost many nerves until I received it. Yeah for sure I will continue with mods, or did you think I imported an IS300 M/T just to drive it?!?
  10. Hi folks, last THU i drove my new ride to Austria, so I did 800km and more on weekend. Wow, that thing pulls not bad, there is no competition to the A/T model. If any IS model could compete with the IS300 M/T then it would be a good modified Lexus IS200 Turbo, but nothing else in the old or new IS row, except the IS350. A Lexus IS200 TTE S/C wouldn't have any chance against the IS300 M/T, as like the IS250 too. Wouldn't want to know how that thing pulls with a turbocharger, must be awsome.... :shutit: This ride feels very sporty, short shifting, high torque so you don't need to shift all the time to redline as on the IS200, you can do 60kph in 4th gear and then just get on accel. and it screws up the speed. Very good to drive, no kidding! It came with a custom intake, so the sound is amazing, sounds like a high modified Supra inside the car. Fuel consumtion is not much as long you don't put the pedal to the medal, but when you do, it's pretty thursty. All in all the IS300 M/T is like an IS should be like!!! :winky: I took the right choice.
  11. No way!!! What's the deal with the import to Serbia? I know that you can not get registration done from America or import cause I live here... You must have some good connections!!! Well Congratulations anyways! ;) Zdravo! Erm... you will know that connection is everything in Serbia. I'm doing my job here in Serbia, have my own flat and Visa, --> tablica može, rezumeš? :winky: Sada ja sam u Čačku ali idem u Beograd danas. Reason why to import to Serbia: - compete tax and insurance fees from AUT and SRB B) - no rules for car modifications (legalisation) can be enforced on my car any more, I don't care about TÜV and entries into my car papers any more B) - radar trap bills go to nowhere :P THX for all, but it was really a bloody job to get the car here and finish everything, seems Serbia doesn't have fixed rules, nobody knows anything, every information is just a suggestion, you can't believe 100% any information, everything is flexible, so you really need connections to good people here. Well tuning steps will follow as soon as they begin!! :winky:
  12. Hi mates, I've been away from UK Forum for a while..... but now I'm back with news. Yesterday I received my new ride: US-Import Lexus IS300 with manual transmission Colour: TCM Year: 2003 Mileage: 50.000mil Some pics... Yesterday I got it in Belgrade (Serbia) and got serbian numberplates, so I can say Good Bye to our TÜV and can do what I want with that car. Well here Pics from yesterday in Belgrade in front of Police Station The car did a long run, from USA to Germany to get EURO-Carpapers, a friend of mine from Serbia who imports cars, took it from Germany to Serbia, I had to pay toll and tax a second time :duh: (maybe I can get it back in AUT), now I received it back from toll and tax agency. Tomorrow I will get on my way home to Austria.... B)
  13. questions is what looks better? the car or the engine? B)
  14. Can't find words..... just let the pictures speak.... Simply excellent!! Perfect Job! B) Maybe the stronger heavier frame gives more traction to the IS-Chassis.
  15. Adie, can't say how it makes me happy to read that message!!!! That is amazing, so happy for you.... finally after so long time and wasting nerves and everything, I felt with you all the time! Let us know how it feels like when you can finally press the pedal to the medal! So happy for you and congrats to get your car finally back HOME!! Mike :winky:
