Engine light went on twice yesterday. But only when accelerting in 6. Gear between 100-140km/h. Didn't apear since the ECU-Reset.

Its a sudden loss. You can see the speed-needle increasing and suddenly it goes up a bit slower. Happens around 5000-5300 revs. Just when the engine is at top of power output. I did a ECU-Reset yesterday, drove around sporty but no difference. Very slow acceleration from 190-215. And I don't get her at topspeed.

I think I have a problem with acceleration in revs over 5000. My car goes well until it reaches 5000 1/min (in every gear). Then you can see that there is less power. I reach 190km/h quick and then its like riding a snail. Even don't get my car over 210 km/h or into the limiter (like ever before). It takes veeeerrryy long to reach 210 km/h. Normally the cars goes up into the limiter, driving around 225km/h. My last mods where a new catback and bigger tyres (225/40R18). Both mods where done at the same time. So I don't know what gets me this problem. What do you think gets me this lack of power? For me I think I have a problem with the exhaust-system (pressure or interferenz?). Perhaps I have to swap my wheels back on winterwheels and have a test-drive. :yack: Thanks for your suggestions. Andi

The Alessios look very close to chrome rims. Just a little bit smoked. Very cool light effects. But a little poor for the painting. Seems as when they are sprayed in a dusty room. But also worth the money.

Oh yes. I think they will look great on an IS. I like them!

Here is a test. Its about induction kit filters, but for me the most important is the filter material. LINK After this test i wouldn't buy a foam filter next time (I have a airinixII). I would go for the material K&N or apexi uses. PartNr K&N IS200: 33-2845 (about 60-65 Euros)

Just get a tube of silicone against the ratteling noise too? :winky:

Chale Island (kenjia). I was there several times. Its wonderful. Very quite. And there are beds everywhere (on the whole island). The rooms are in big towers. Great look over the East Coast. You can sleep outside if you want. No Beachboys will disturbe you. It also possible to rent a tent. Equiped in the style of beduines (don't know the right word), carpets everywhere and all comfort. But you have to make a safari. Otherwise it will be to quite. LINK PS: You will have to reserve a week with high tide. Then you will have more fun on the beach B)

Go for 18x8 on 225/40R18. Its a good ride.

My radio was changed under warranty about 2 weeks ago. So no err3-problem, but skipping on CD-ROMs. I burned another set of CD-ROMs on half speed and there is no skipping anymore.

Is there a fix out from Lexus? A new cable or something similar?

Its the sound of my Burdinski exhaust. About 550kb. (The mic was to close to the exhaust, so its a little cracking). I tried to upload in my garage, into the gallery, as a post-attachment. I tried with extension mp3 and mpg. There seems to be a problem with this extensions. This is all i get: There seems to be a problem in finding the thumbnail for the listing in the gallery. And yes, i will be in Soltau.

That would be fine. Let's make a exhaust competition. :zee: But I'm not able to do DVD-Mastering. Even don't have a cam. But I have a good mic for sound recording. I would like to upload my mp3-recording from burdinski (berlin). But I always get a failure.

I have the DVD. Just 20 Minutes of Vid. Not worth the money. I bought it because i needed a better sound quality of the I6 exhaust competition. I wanted my catback to sound like the greddy. And now its done (and sounds even better )

Or is it just the bigger wheels? They where fitted last friday. And first time i drove full throttel was yesterday (because of the bad weather). So could my 225/40 on 18x8 be the problem? Or together with the catback?

What do you do against the gear noise from the quickshift?

I got a new catback from Burdinski (Berlin). Very nice sound. You can see pictures here: PIC 1 PIC 2 PIC 3 But now I have a problem to reach highspeed into the limiter (225km/h). The car accelerates very well until it reaches 190km/h, gets veeery slow to 200. It seems not possible to get over 200. I drove back from Berlin yesterday and got 210 only one time. I even don't get the car into the limiter with the 6th gear. Do I have a powerproblem? How can I sort it out?
