  1. Just a update. after apples recent update it is working fine again. maybe a apple problem after all
  2. My drivers has scratches in one area too. I cant get rid of it
  3. i should add you do need a splitter connection from GROM for use with a nav IS200 as there are 2 or 3 i believe wires for vioice command and beep in addition but i actually just modified the pinout with the connection it came with because i couldnt be bothered to wait for them to send one. but just get them to send one with it as its much simpler
  4. I have a IS200 nav too and have a yatour which is the same type device as a grom. I always wanted to keep mine original too and can report it is a excellent device and works great along side voice commands from the satnav just as normal. I can control my ipod nano from the headunit and have it in the car all the time velcro'd by my shift selector. excellent quality and im a bit of a audiophile. however ide actually advice against the cheaper yatour as ive recently discovered they have not offered a update for upcoming IOS versions so my wifes iphone no longer works via apple connector but can use the jack but no charging. so go for a GROM
  5. ive always loved coupe's. the new Lexus RC is sooo nice too as for this thread. theres sooo many nice car designs since prob the 50s. ide have to pick one for each year as decade had a different style
  6. think my dad wants to plow on. but so nice of you to offer! i would if it was just me and mrs
  7. i will be actually! ill get back to you bc following my Dad too. thanks very much!
  8. thanks. she scrubs up well. all ready for a drive up north tomorrow.
  9. we've finally had some dry days and Tuesday was perfect conditions for a car day :D 1. washed 2. dried 3. de tared 4. Polished 5. buffed lights plastics 6. cleaned fog lights 7. cleaned and polish alloys 8. Cleaned exhaust 9. gelled tyres 10. hoovered 11. Cleaned fabrics inc matts 12. Polished and treated leathers 13. wiped off with lemon leather wipes 14. detailed cleaned vents, shift selector etc 15. dash shined
  10. mine was a seized caliper and was severe wobble obviously. This resulted in the disc getting warped slightly which i blame my slight and rare wobble on.
  11. ive seen entire engines for around £300. dont ask about shipping though lol
  12. loose connection i bet. pull the dash out and have a look. just careful not to scratch your trim when doing so. i used masking tape
  13. I know its been covered but im going to try it for myself and see if i notice a difference. Driving 200+ miles up north next week to Scarborough for a holiday and imgoing to try BP ultimate to see if i notice a considerable difference just for the heck of it really. Will report back
  14. about the OEM sat nav. If you have a aftermarket head unit you need a special module to enable it to work and even then you lose voice command. Think you can buy the modules on ebay.

Yeah good choice. Hope you find a nice example :)
  16. Thats the thing, there is no evidence to say its ever been changed. Its at a 108k now and was looked after by Lexus Stockport up to about 90k including its 75k service. When i bought the car it was a dark red going to brown which is a sign it needs changing. now 2 years later its a almost definitely brown and does have a burnt smell so is a good time to change it. No signs of slipping or clunking and shifts are smooth and responsive. I have heard ppl say that before about a transmission but only on cars with high mileage. I really dont know if i should now though
  17. btw are you going to do it yourself? because i was, seems pretty straightforward
  18. Toyota Type 4 i believe. just use the Toyota stuff, any Toyota or Lexus dealer will stock it. the other makes of type 4 spec seems hard to get hold of in the UK and prob not much cheaper anyway.... Its pretty expensive stuff but cheaper than a busted tranny down the line. Im debating whether to do mine at next service
  19. I recommend Numax batteries. make sure the terminals are at the back! some numpty put the wrong battery in my car and has dented the bonnet
  20. haha. no harm being done, just a bit of harmless fun then none of that is there btw lol theres a massive premier in there now
  21. ooh for being gobby lol. having a little car meet there were ya? lol they still do it
  22. whaaat!. what for? for doing this? :P lol
