My battery died randomly too no signs of a tired battery

Ive always said ide go for a GS430 next as a V8 is something ive been working up to, but after seeing how cheap these beautys are going for recently i don't think i could resist! Always loved the look of them and admittedly has more character than the GS. Jaguar XK8

Dude that is total BS. Typical garage BS. The handbrake shoes never get worn i just had my drum off a few months back and they looked bran new 13 years later Never heard of that hole braking off either.Why is is so hard to find a garage to just do the work you ask these days

Well the timibg belt was well over due then! Its every 60k or 6 years. There were 3 spoilers. The small stick on tte lip, the small spoiler with brake light and the raised full size spoiler with brake light.

Glad its growing on you. I feel like the IS was built with me in mind i like it so much! So was there no evidence of cambelt being done then? I got mine done in the interval and was slightly worn The wheels you have are my favorite. Makes the car look so much more sophisticated and grown up. If you were goung to change the colour ide go for gun metal apposed to black.The sports grill was a must for mine too but i do like the LE grill too. I got a lip spoiler for mine too, gives it a nice touch Touch up kit is a must to keep on top of chips you dont want rust popping up

Just looked at the product and it still lists as only compatible up to iphone 3s. Thats mad. Iemailed the company asking about firmware.

Couldnt find much on the Yatour website. its very basic. Maybe i should of got a GROM after all.

btw my car had no coolant in the tank when i bought mine either! it seems that alot of new owners find this and mine definitely isnt leaking. i think it must just evaporate over time and people forget to top it up. on a plus note at least its had a full flush :)

ide go with Ians suggestion. doesnt sound like your losing coolant. on a second note if you stand next the the car when it telling you its hot you should feel ALOT of heat coming from the engine area and the fans would be on, so if you dont its prob the sensor

Remember i was talking about people buying the newest car they could afford. So say you've got 5k to spend, alot of people will look for the newest car out there for that price, when there is nothing wrong with something a bit older that is nicer to start with. I think i do forget to factor in not everyone can justify 22mpg around town so a small hatchback is a sensible option for them, as many of you have stated many people just want a car to get them to A to B and dont get as much satisfaction as us car nuts do from the little things a car can offer in terms of noise, looks and technology. Funny people should bring up technology because take a IS200 for example, really what doesn't it have that most average cars that are on the road have? even the latest IS or any other later model prestige cars in its category the list isn't that big if you think about it. take out the array of safety features cars have now but stuff like Bluetooth, Ipod connectivity and sat nav can easily be added at very small cost, and what else is left?. Air condition, cruise control, climate control is only recently becoming standard and is still advertised as a selling point, and stuff like heated seats, electric seats and a good sound system is still left for the more luxury brands. Even my friends brand new 13 plate mini cooper S hasn't got as much equipment as my IS, she said the electric package was a extra £1500 and wasn't worth it.

I agree with everything you said except if i was comparing my car to a phone it would have to be the Nokia 9110 Communicator lol. my brother just got one for kicks and its so old school its awesome! just like the IS. Built like a tank and to last and like nothing else that comes out now. IS200. the latest technology crammed into a small package. IS200

Yeah OEM are probably not much more i guess but for me it was easier to just buy them online and have them delivered. they were continental so cant be bad

Black wheels on lighter cars look goodbut only some. Some rims depending on the style just look like steels from a distance with no character. Chris's rims on his old car changed my opinion on some. Ive got shadow chrome and love the dark shine they give (when clean) lol

Just noticed someone up my road just replaced his is200 with a 10 plate 220d. I dont think he'll have the same ownership experience
