    Personally i dont mind spending the extra £20 a tank vs a diesel golf say. but thats just me :) It kinda annoys me that i could be driving a GS350 that does similar MPG and waaay better power but i cant afford a new gen V6 engined car atm Ill take a pic when the light comes on see where im at. Ive just started commuting 20 miles mostly A road so im doing alot better.

    400 miles to the tank, what sort of driving are you doing? I get about 325 miles before the light comes on, and thats all around town. 325 is average for town driving. i get about that, but recently started doing a 20 mile commute up and down a A road and hitting 400 miles 80% A roads 20% town

    Yeah. I think ppl are tempted with the bargain IS200s that have seen better days but essentially are mechanically sound. Either that or ppl have stopped spending money on them. For instance theres always one i see at my GP and i actually saw him scrape it. A year later scrape still there. tut

    wow. also amazed at the condition. Where are all these immaculate IS200s! most i see on the road are never in very good shape, as if people have given up looking after them. Any chance of a back seat pic? just curious to see how the leathers looking.

    Well it would make sense if only one arche is scraping ;) cuz mine only does one way. The plastic covering thingy i mean. But yeah back plates can be common issue but i thought one back more so?

    Not the wheel arche is it? Mine got bent outwards somehow and scrapes

    Ive got a blueprint too. Its been fine. Im guessing gasket not put on properly

    Yeah thanks foe this input. I had no idea the severity of it! All i knew it was a common defect on models made up to 2001. I will certainly keep it in mind

    Ive also heard of failing WPs flying into the rad and destroying it

    pretty much did all this on mine last year in one go, except for discs. but i did my water pump too. 2 questions do you have a auto or manual? and is it necessary to change the pollen filter? as mine looked pretty good when i pulled it out....

    no it was standard on back screen also

    If you get a screw driver and touch the WP with it, that will confirm the noise is coming from there....

    yep mine did this at about 100k. very annoying loud noise. also was weaping. the WP was still working though. why Lexus stockport didnt replace it with first cambelt is beyond me

    I was talking to my friend whos a special constable and he said this is quite common. He said it even happened to him after he got cut up and he got followed all the way home, just because he beeped at him for doing so. But soon got back in his car when he showed his badge
