Yeah these chavvers really p**s me off, I too like designer clothes, and always have done, basically grown up with them since school. Not wanting to sound flash, it's just what I spend me other spare cash on.
Anyway whinge over.... maybe I'll just shop at George instead and buy that M3 I always wanted instead !

Just bought a Linksys Wireless broadband router, PCMCIA & PCI Wireless card's from Comet for £159.98 as a package. However, on the Comet website I have noticed that they are selling the package all in for £119.99, I phoned them up and they have refunded me the difference - what a result. Anyway, at £119.99 what a bargain.
And what a package - I'm using it now to type this email what a brilliant WIFI package! If your in the market to buy one get one now!
The website is www.comet.co.uk & the product code is 222534, it also includes free delivery!

I've read it, there was a thread on here a while agon when the book was doing it's rounds, I thought it was very good, especially the IS200 section!

I had an A4 for 3 1/2 years (the old shape) as a company car and never had any problems with it, But in fairness new cars are generally reliable anyway.
I've also had a 320d and my rant is having to pay £100 for a CD Player on a car that cost circa £23k! Nuff said I think!

Cheers Matt...your much better than me on this thing - Miss January has her own website www.lan-le.com !!! Enjoy, what a babe....

Anybody else seen the IS200 & GS on that www.endlessemotions.com calendar with the ladies !!!!! :D it's over on www.is300.net
I was thinking of buying one (calendar), anybody else got one - or what about a group buy on Gold???

Great prices anyway Aido for the IS300, hell of a lot of depreciation there! I think for future resell Satnav will go down well in an IS300 and besides that it's OEM and not IPAQ installed. You have to admit the OEM looks a million times better than an IPAQ in the car - I have an IPAQ, don't get me wrong I like it a lot but I think factory fitted NAV is better.
Aido - thanks for the quote on the 60k mate! The other thing you have to weigh up is 1) when was the car first registered and what warranty is remaining, 2) on the 54k car doesn't the warranty run out after 60k?
Good luck, wish I was buying an 02 IS300 for £14k!
-
I know it's slightly off topic but on average how much is a 60k service on an IS200 SE?

Personally I'd go for an Ipaq with Tomtom Navigator as it has the following benefits over Go:-
1) You can use it as a diary / store contacts for use when not in the car. If you have your contacts addresses then you can navigate to them automatically - cool eh!
2) You can download POI's from the Net onto the IPAQ e.g. Speed camera's - I don't think you can do this on GO.
3) It's smaller and easier to undock out of the car and your less likely to get it nicked as you'll probably leave GO in the car permanently.
Horses for courses I think, depends on what you want to use it for!

Martin Clunes in Doc Martin drove a LS430 and he was kind of a drug dealer as well!

BMW feel that members of the UK operation could benefit from knowing certain auto terminology used by their German counterparts.
This should avoid embarrassment at the inter-departmental meetings.
Therefore before the next technical meeting the UK operation were asked to read and inwardly digest the following:-
INDICATORS--------------Die Blinkenleiten Tickentocken
SPEEDOMETER-----------Der Egobooster
PUNCTURE----------------Die Phatte mit Bludyf**ken
LEARNER------------------Die wowwypopen mit Elplatt
ESTATE CAR--------------Die Bagsromm fur Shaggininauto
WINDSCREEN WIPER----Die Fippenflappenschittenspredden
FOOTBRAKE---------------Der Edbangenonvindskreen stoppenquik
BREATHALYSER---------Die Puffintem fur Pistenarsen
SEATBELT-----------------Der Klunkenklicken Frauleintrapper
HEADLIGHTS--------------Das Dippendontdazzle ubastud
FOG WARNING------------Die Puttenfutdownen Fukit
HIGHWAY CODE----------Der Wipen fur Arsen
TYRES-----------------------Phlattfarts
TRAFFIC JAM--------------Der Bluddinfukkin damnundblasten
BACKFIRE------------------Der Lowdenbangen mekkenmefu**enjumpen

Don't know if the Sport has a heated front screen, mine defo has, you need to look under the wipers and there should be what looks like a circuit board of lines embedded in the glass. And this heats up when you put the rear screen heater on and it defrosts ice on both front & back. On the front it starts from the bottom and works it's way up, it's pretty good.
The way to tell if you have one and if it is working is to put the read heater on and feel under the wipers and it should start to get warm.

Have a look at his sub directory as well:-

Anybody on here live near Buckley in North Wales? Over the last month I have seen 2 IS 200's same colour as mine (starting to get common now).
And yesterday while I was on the way to watch Wrexham get thrased by Tranmere (no comments please) a guy in a Blue IS200 waved to me on the Caergwrle / Penyffordd A road - was it you (if so, hi mate!)
-
Not sure if the IS will keep up with a Cossie but I had a race with an X5 last week (don't know what engine was in it) but I p'd all over it from a 30 zone into a bypass, into second and then throught the gears and he could not catch me at all! How's that then - I thought the X5 was pdq!

Better call X to the Z 'cos were gonna pimp my ride!
Have you had a look on your mates website - www.chavvanova.com?

I would defo buy a pre-owned IS200, and I will probably buy a preowned again, but then again when the new IS comes out I probably won't - If that makes sense.
Anyway, in 2003 I bought my 02 IS200 SE Strath Blue with 6k on the clock for £17k, and that's circa £4k less than new! You have to weigh up whether you want to save money or want the full 3 years warranty - it depends on how many miles your gonna do!
If I was in your shoes, I'd look at preowned IS300's as they have a lot more poke than the IS200.
Good luck!
-
I agree with Kremmen, what we are forgetting is that other cars depreciate much more than the IS200! Don't forget that guys!

Well I'm 34, but I do own my own house as well!!!!!!

With that sort of money to spend go for the revised IS which was released circa 2001 I think, I wouldn't personally go for the S model as the SE / Sport has much much nicer interior!!
If I was to buy one now I would go for a say, 2001 model "Y" or "51" and if the alloys are corroded ask the dealer if you can upgrade to the 18"'s as they are the dogs....!
Good luck!

I must say today went for a meeting to Northampton and I really noticed that my Xenon lookalike headlights were rubbish compared to other car standard lights.
I know this has been done to death and warmed up again, but can anybody truly recommend which bulbs do make a big difference and please dont say HID's as I don't want to upgrade as it's too expensive!
Cheers chavvers! ;-)
