Nice car, it would look soo much better with Lexus alloys on it!
-
You can switch it off:-
Unlock doors, open doors (repeat this process 8 times) then put the key into the ignition turn the lights on & off, beep the horn and it should stop working.
(If that doens't do it try the fuse :P )

Shop around for prices - you have access to the internet use it. I bought my IS from Lexus Aberdeen without a testdrive & the car was 12 months old, it came with AA check & the dealer faxed over the report before I paid them. They delivered the car FOC to me as well, I did save circa £1000 over buying the IS locally from Chester.
BTW, I will only recommend the blues, they look the best & are not hard to clean - you WILL want to clean your IS anyway!
IMHO Silver does look nice on the IS but the colour is so common on the roads, it is the new Red, just have a look the next time you drive...

Look guys you shouldn't have that problem - and why should you have to turn the nossle upside down - should ask Lexus me thinks!
I've had no problems - I use Shell all the time.
Although I must say me misses has had the problem with her Clio when filling up at Asda & Tesco but not Shell !

Might be worth finding out if they were changed under warranty in the last 12 months as you have only just bought the car - if so then the alloys should come with 12 months warranty definitely and you should be able to replace them! They should have changed them when you bought it if they were corroded then - can you prove it? Did you take any photo's when it was new?
None the less if the dealer is reputable then they should swap them for you (you should mention that you will be servicing the car with them as a sweetner), still the alloys are 2 a penny so they should change them no hassle!
I'm on my 4th set so far and my IS is only 2 1/2 years old (of which I've only owned it for 1 1/2 years!) and that is only 'cos I am fussy and check them every week.
Good luck!

Yeah, why would you want to remove the airbag? Are you mad?
Seriously though if you want to mess about with that sort of thing you should have bought an old mini!
-
John,
I've got an ipaq 2210 running tomtom. If you want to see it pm me and I'll show you how I installed it (Live in Chester)

I had this problem and agree with scarface - Lexus Stockport changed the clips that hold the caliper in place under warranty - all gone now and no clonking noise!
-
Nissan 350z for me....early next year defo, fed up of waiting for the new IS, decided to go for something completely different......and fast!

Cheers Fluff....wasn't sure!

You could always see if he is a member of an Owners club on the net!
Most insurance companies on the net tell you what the vehicle is when you type in the registration for a quote.
Not that I'm condoning anything illegal, I think your p****d off about it big time and maybe you could have it out with him over a forum (you never know!)

Well went to see Top Gear in Surrey yesterday and it was a great day - I fully recommend it. Aido was right Clarkson does wander around with a fag in his mouth!
I must say the 3 guys are great, very down to earth, I don't want to spoil it too much but they had an Aston Martin DB (something) which had air compressor suspension - you'll see it on Sunday :winky:
BTW, the star in the reasonibly priced car - Joanna Lumley (and I met her) :P
If you get the chance do it - it's a great day out, lots of swearing from the presenters!!!

I've got these on mine which I bought from Canada off eBay about 6 months ago and they are dead easy to install. I must say there isn't a huge difference from the OEM's, you need HID's to really make a difference.
Worth £6.50 though!

Already been discussed twice over on this forum.......thanks for finding anyway!

Sorry if you haven't received the mag yet (mine came on friday - subscription :winky: )
It scored 10 out of 10 !!! First ever in the mag- cant wait for it (anybody on here gonna pick it up at midnight then?)
-
Had a look - the sellers says they cost £500 new! What a total lie! Have a look around you can buy them new anyway between £50 - £100 depending on the number of sensors!
-
Slightly off topic but my Doctor (down to earth guy) was complaining last week about putting in £104 in his Mercedes S class (full tank)!!! With this in mind it certainly cheered me up!
And he showed me the receipt to prove it and it was at tesco :-( !
-
Yup on mine you have to hold the button down for a couple of seconds, the idea being you don't accidentally open the boot when the keys are in your pocket.

I was only saying to me misses last night how I like the Rav-4 it's shape is quite different to the others such as the freelander.
If you think about it the Toyota Celica is a nice motor so you cant go wrong!
Let us know how the test drive goes!

i've never let the needle go that low down most i've had is about 420
Yeah, me too I would never let my needle go that low - it's not good for the car.
Saying that...everytime I loan an IS200 from a dealer the needle is usually that low!
Anyway most I've had is circa 400 miles.

Their website is pretty cool as well - especially the track layouts!
Any ideas of dates yet? My diary starts to fill up towards Xmas with all the parties I'm going to!!!!!
